Chapter 332: Metting With The Guardians

"Good morning master... we are good how are you..." everyone proclaimed, a smile appearing on their faces.

"Nice... I’m good as well.." Without wasting any seconds he looked at Aurora. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"You must have met her..." directing toward Aurora, Dhruv continued, "She is Aurora, formerly an Ice Empress and now The fifth guardian."

Everyone nodded their head without any hesitation but Alaric... he looked a bit concerned.

"Yes, master, we’ve met her, and I must say her condition is a bit unique... and i don’t like it. Last night she was doing some weird thing with Lyra as well..."

Alaric replied, looking at her with wary eyes. He wasn’t fond of the idea that she remembered everything about her previous life. Having more knowledge makes her prone to outside influence.

"I was doing some checking... and how do you even know? You weren’t there," Aurora replied not liking the tone of Alaric a bit... but knew it wasn’t wrong either.

"Huh~ I don’t need to be anywhere to see... I’m everywhere," Alaric responded, not taking her seriously at all.

’Weird thing with Lyra...’ Not sure what Aurora was doing, but Dhruv was certain she wouldn’t do anything bad... after all like them, she was Soulbound as well.

"Alaric... you don’t have to worry about her having memories. They won’t be of any harm to me or anyone else... right, Aurora?" Dhruv asked, smiling.

"Of course, master. You have brought me to life... thus have authority over it. I will never dare to imagine doing anything wrong to you," Aurora answered, looking at Alaric with a smile.

"What do you say, Alaric.." Hearing her reply Dhruv looked at Alaric with side glances.

"If you want I will trust her, master..." Stating these words, Alaric silenced, glancing at his new sibling occasionally.

Nodding his head Dhruv looked at everyone and asked the question about the rock, "I’ve noticed that there is a mountain of black rock in the dungeon... can anyone tell me why that is?"

"Grec is responsible for that, Master." Alaric simply pointed toward Grec.

"Grec!" Dhruv inquired, looking at the goblin lord.

"Yes, Master, I was the one who brought the stone. It is needed for the project I’m working on. Do you want to know about its details master?" Grec replied, clear excitement appearing on his face.

’A project... now what is this goblin planning...’ Dhruv couldn’t help but feel a bit worried by any action he took.

’Those rocks seemed very durable and resistant... what could he want to use them for? Walls? Building something? A bridge connecting the other part of the world?’ Aurora tried to guess the intention but continued silently, waiting for Dhruv to ask about it.

"No... just keep it to yourself... just don’t cause any trouble," Dhruv muttered, not in the mood to hear a lengthy report.

’Hmmm! So, Master doesn’t seem that interested in things concerning the island itself that much....’ Noticing his behavior, Aurora thought about asking Grec about his plan later.

While she was thinking what the rocks could be used for a question came her way.

"Aurora, I want to ask something." After meeting the people on the island, there was a question he was eager to ask her.

"Of course, Master, anything," Aurora replied, smiling.

Hearing her reply, all the guardians focused their attention on the conversation knowing something important was to be discussed. There was one expectation to this as well... of course.

The only reason Vexar paid attention to the conversation was because it could have any possibility with fighting.

"As you previously said, the sentient creatures who turn into monsters become mutants. Does that mean the people who transformed into monsters because of the mark are mutants as well?"

’Mutants!?’ Alaric thought, confused by the term he heard for the first time.

’Those are mutants?’ Grec seemed interested, unsure if he knew the term or not.

’Can I fight that though?’ Obviously, Vexar was thinking about fighting them.

Glancing at Alaric for a second, Aurora replied, "After coming to the island, I had the same thought... so I went to the priestess also known as Lyra, and asked her to let me check her core..."

Coughing while glancing toward Alaric again, she continued, "She didn’t have any problem with it, and let me check the core. After some research I found that they are not mutants... but they are not pure monsters either."

Aurora answered a bit confused about the exact criteria for being a mutant.

’Ohhhh! So that’s what she was doing... but she could’ve said so from the beginning,’ Alaric thought, an awkward smile appearing on his face.

"Not mutants... but not monsters either. What is that supposed to mean?" Dhruv asked back.

"What it means, master, is that they will be stronger than a pure monster in the same tier but always weaker than real mutants. Having access to the Cosmic store could be added to the list as well."

Aurora answered the conclusion she had made after all the thinking she had done.

’So does that make me a mutant as well...’ Alaric thought, looking at Aurora in a different light.

He was still suspicious of her a bit and would keep an eye on her, but a hunger for the knowledge she possessed began to grow inside him. Only Alaric was interested in this new knowledge as the other guardians already had something on their plate.

Grec was busy with the new plan he had created. Azarex wanted to expand his knowledge in the field of death, curses, and hexes. Vexar, like always, wasn’t a bit interested in all this; he just wanted to cut some stuff.

"Hmm! Makes sense, I guess?" Dhruv muttered, thinking and coming to the same conclusion as well.

Clap! Clap!

Clapping, Dhruv got everyone’s attention once again. Looking at them he mentioned, "As you guys know, I’ve already evolved to Tier IV and most of you are at this tier as well... except Alaric."

Turning to look at Alaric he asked, "At what level are you, Alaric?"

"Level 21, master... I haven’t been that focused on leveling up," Alaric replied, not concerned about evolving for the time being.

"Ohhh! It’s okay, but you should evolve as well... the third quest is about to end," Dhruv suggested.

Trying to encourage him further Dhruv asked, "Do you have any place in mind, or do you want to go to the mainland?"

"No, master, there are plenty of monsters around..." Alaric muttered, remembering the sea monster that had attacked the island.

Thinking about the island, Alaric remembered the attack on the island. Organizing everything he was about to report the incident about the monster when Aurora spoke.

Controlling his mouth, he listened to her words carefully.

"Master, if you don’t mind, I want to know how much time is left before the quest ends..."

Not having seen the quest pages in ages, Dhruv opened and checked the time left before the quest ended.

[Time Left: 4 Days 2 Hours 51 Minutes]
