Born in apocalypse
Chapter 340: Archana
Splitting a part of his soul, Dhruv fused it with the rotating orb in his hand. Giving the necessary command, he moved the orb toward the corpse.
The orb from his hand moved toward the corpse as a dome of light appeared, covering the corpse. The fusion began its work as the soul began to fuse with the soulless body of the monster.
Dhruv’s soul began to affect the corpse as it slowly transitioned from that of a monster to the shape of a humanoid. The process continued slowly as life began to infuse into the body of the spider.
Seconds passed, and the dungeon core fused with the monster core. The dome flickered as the last of the fusion began to work. The world’s mana began to be sucked in as the damaged parts of the corpse healed on their own.
Everything went smoothly as the core of the monster began to infuse mana into the body once again. Binding the monster’s soul with Dhruv, the dome flickered out of existence, leaving a naked body.
Observing her, Dhruv instantly created clothes made out of illusion as he began to observe her.
The very first thing Dhruv noticed was that she was a bit short... not short-short but still somewhat short. As her face was lying toward him, he could see a cute and innocent smile on her face.
Sensing the gaze of others, the spider queen opened her eyes. Her dark, rich eyes seemed large and expressive, with an intriguing mix of innocence and depth, giving her an almost enchanting gaze.
Black silky hair adorned her head, cascading down in a gentle web that framed her face perfectly. In every sense, she looked normal, yet after the combination of all these things, her features became strikingly beautiful.
Despite her seemingly innocent and harmless appearance, she exuded an aura of dominance, suggesting the strength she possessed as a unique monster and now a semi-mutant.
Tilting her head, she looked at Dhruv with a depth of reverence and respect. Standing on her feet, she moved toward him. Reaching him, she bowed and whispered, "Master!?"
Dhruv nodded his head as he lifted her from the ground. Like always, the very first thing he thought of was giving her a name. After much thought a fitting name appeared in his head.
Looking at her with a smile, he whispered, "Archana... From now on, you will be known as Archana."
"Archana!" she whispered as she pointed toward herself.
Seeing her, Dhruv nodded, giving her the final confirmation.
"Archana pledges to serve master till eternity." Saying these words, Archana bowed her head smiling.
After lifting it, she looked toward the others from whom she was feeling some sort of connection. She found that the connection wasn’t as strong as she felt toward her master, but she could still notice it.
"They are your siblings and my guardians." Looking at her confusion, Dhruv began introducing each of them individually.
Dhruv was about to introduce Vexar but stopped as the demon jumped in front of her and introduced himself,
"Archana... I’m Vexar, your elder brother and the one who previously killed you... hehehe. But don’t worry, now that you are part of the family, I will protect you." For some reason, Vexar thought it would be a good idea to have an introduction like this.
’What the fuck, man... this is not how you introduce yourself,’ Dhruv almost cursed him before finally managing to calm himself down.
"Killed me... but I’m alive, am I not?" Looking at his brother, Archana asked in confusion.
"Yes, you are alive because our master is so strong. He is so strong that he can make dead things alive. Do you understand how powerful he is? After him, obviously, I’m the most powerful one... muhahaha!!" Vexar began spouting whatever came to his mind.
Understanding what it meant to resurrect someone from death, Archana looked at her master in a completely different light. She was about to bow once again but stopped, feeling it wouldn’t make him happy.
"So, tell me, Archana, do you want to fight me?" Not knowing how to bend words Vexar instantly got to the point.
Despite knowing that he had defeated her before, Vexar was eager to fight her because he knew that after combining with his soul, the monster would be somewhat stronger than its previous version.
And above all, they gain intelligence. After fighting numerous fights, Vexar knew that the difference between winning and losing a fight is how one uses their intelligence.
"B-But... why would I fight you... didn’t you tell me you are my brother? Is something wrong between us? I don’t think I did something wrong... is it, master?" Archana asked, looking at her master with an apologetic face.
"N-No... it’s not a real fight... it’s more like a due--" Vexar was about to explain the difference between a fight and a duel when Dhruv spoke in between.
"Stop, Vexar... let her collect her thoughts first. And no, Archana, you did nothing wrong. You see, your brother is a bit dum-- ahmmm! I mean, a bit of a fighting maniac." Dhruv informed her trying to explain the nature of his brother.
"Hahaha!" Listening to her master’s words Archana chuckled.
’Huh! She chuckled... well, that’s something new...’ Dhruv thought as he noticed how expressive she was with her emotions.
’Well, at least one of them is not shying away from showing their emotions,’ Dhruv thought quite pleased by her expression.
Facing her, he asked, "Archana, I’m going to see your status. Is that okay with you?"
"Of course, master... whatever you wish," she said without any hesitation.
Nodding his head, Dhruv felt the mark connecting her and activated the status through it. In just a moment, a panel appeared with the information he wanted...
