Chapter 346: Meeting With The Lady

Dhruv talked with the others, reminding them that they aren’t alone in the outlands like they are here. Thus they have to keep in mind the danger they might encounter because of this.

Dhruv wasn’t particularly wary about the survival of his guardians... But he was skeptical about the ones they met. Knowing how unstable humans are he couldn’t help but worry about theme.

"Especially you Vexar, don’t try to fight with the humans... they are very fragile creatures, and you don’t want to hunt weaklings, right?" Dhruv asked, looking at his demonic guardian.

He knew very well that Vexar was not as he appeared and cared deeply for those he was close to... but that was the point: those he was close to.

Dhruv could still remember the day when Lyra and the tribesmen had arrived on the island and how this third guardian was out for blood.

"Of course, Master... I won’t do anything unless they provoke me," Vexar said, confident in his ability to keep calm.

"That we will know eventually..." Saying this, Dhruv glanced towards Azarex for a second before ending the meeting.

[If possible, send someone to keep an eye on him,] Dhruv conveyed his feelings to Azarex, worrying about the fate of those who are unfortunate enough to meet Vexar.

Seeing Dhruv disperse the meeting, the guardians nodded their heads and began to move toward their own hunting grounds.

As Alaric and Dhruv’s destination was the same, Alaric offered to drop Dhruv in the dungeon. At first, Dhruv was afraid to travel in the realm of shadows... but building some courage, he accepted the offer in the end.

After the evolution, Vexar had already gotten wings, so he flew in the air. Accompanying him was his elder brother, who was using death magic to propel himself in the air as well.

Getting the information about the eggs’ whereabouts, Archana went to escalate the process of them hatching, while Grec began to move to put his plan in motion.

Soon enough, only Aurora was left in the house with nothing to do. After remembering the announcement Dhruv had made in the morning, she was quite proud of him for learning so fast.

And why wouldn’t she be proud? She had taught him a bit earlier on how to make a proper announcement. He was still a newbie compared to someone like her, but he was learning quickly.

’Talking about announcements... those three seemed quite capable,’ Aurora thought after remembering the faces of the three children she had met during the announcement.

What interested her most was that despite this planet not having the concept of cosmic evolution and such things until a few months ago, they had adapted to thinking about the future and not getting stuck in the past.

It sounds simple on paper, but it is anything but that. It is so hard to get out of one’s past that one can spend one’s entire future doing just that.

Another thing that made Aurora more interested in the kids was that they could upgrade their stats with the help of coins. Coins that were worthless to her a few days ago now held so much potential that she couldn’t even describe it.

After making up her mind, she felt the mark and connected with the most respectful and knowledgeable person on the island after Dhruv and his guardians.

[Lyra... It’s me, Aurora. Can you meet with me in the master’s house?]

As if Lyra was waiting for her to call at that moment, a reply came from the other end almost instantly. [Of course, my lady.]

[Please... then,] Aurora said, cutting off the connection and pulling out a coin from her pocket.

The coin was perfectly round in shape and looked like it was made out of diamond. On both sides of the coin was a symbol—a symbol that anyone in the cosmos would recognize.

The mark was of nothing but the Cosmos Connection. It resembled the mark that connects everyone with the cosmos.

Looking at the coin, Aurora infused some of her mana into it. Suddenly, the coin turned into mist as a notification appeared in front of her.

[You have gained 1 Million Cosmic Coins.]

Seeing the notification, Aurora was taken aback for a second. She wasn’t surprised because of the coins she got; No, she knew that was exactly the purpose of that coin.

She was surprised because she was finally able to keep coins in her own status as well. As a monster species, no one on their planet had the function to earn or keep the coins.

And because of this reason, the cosmos had created a physical version of the coins so the monsters could trade among themselves as well.

There were a total of six types of coins available in the cosmos.

The copper one is worth 1 CC. Silver is worth 10 CC, while gold is worth 100. A platinum will cost around 10K CC, and the diamond one she had is valued at 1M.

And lastly, there is the ruby one, whose estimated value is around 1B CC. Why estimated at one billion and not directly at one billion? Because people take advantage of monsters’ inability to transform coins themselves.

Because of how big of a sum it is, people often charge a higher value for the coin than what it is worth, and because of how convenient it is to have the coins, the monsters are willing to pay the price as well.

Sighing, Aurora remembered how her parents had given her a hundred or so diamond coins at the start of the trial, but now she had only ten of them left.

Without any hesitation, she pulled the coins out of her pocket and transformed all of them into CC.

[You have gained 1 Million CC.]

[You have gained 1 ...]

[....]

[....]

[....]

[You have gained 1 Million CC.]

[Cosmic Coins: 10 Million]

Closing her status, she began waiting for Lyra’s arrival. She didn’t have to wait long as Lyra arrived within a minute.

"How may I be of your help, my lady?" Lyra asked, sensing the presence of the one she had been waiting for all this time.
