Chapter 365: Dark Abyss
"How dare he look at master with hostility... this puny creature... I will kill that bastard..." Fuming fire, Vexar was about to move toward the Magnus portal when Aurora grabbed his hand.
"Don’t... he is already gone, and we don’t know what is on the other side of the portal," Aurora said, trying to convince the demon.
"I don’t care about that... release my hand... or I will do it myself," Vexar said being as serious as one can be.
Hearing these words, Aurora released his hand. Vexar was about to move toward the portal when a sound reached him.
"Stop, Vexar... don’t go there," Dhruv requested.
"B-But... Master, didn’t you feel what he did?" Vexar muttered, still not convinced.
"I was the one who started that," Dhruv said, trying to convince the demon.
"So what!? I don’t care... how dare he do that. I will kill him... I will kill him no matter what," Vexar replied, not caring about who and how it had started.
The only thing he knew was that the man had looked at his master with hostility and would face the consequences for it.
"Just calm down for a second... will you?" Grabbing his head, Dhruv muttered.
"A-Are you alright, Master?" Retracing his steps, Vexar asked, looking at Dhruv.
"Yeah! I’m fine..." Dhruv whispered, trying to control his anger as much as possible.
On the surface, he was trying to stop Vexar, but deep down he wanted nothing more than to enter the portal and hunt the bastard himself.
’I will kill you... but your death won’t be this quick...’ Gritting his teeth, Dhruv suppressed the emerging memory and looked at his guardians. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
"Check if anyone here is in critical condition because of my bloodlust. If someone is, try to heal them," He muttered, not wanting to take responsibility for killing some random innocent person.
"As you wish..." Saying these words, Aurora began scanning. She couldn’t find any damage on the surface, so she proceeded to search their souls.
After a minute, she looked at Dhruv and conveyed, "Everyone is alright, Master... the ones who have passed out did so because of a lack of air to their brains. Nothing serious here."
"Good..." Glancing at everyone, he was about to move toward the portal when a notification appeared in front of him.
[Your evaluation has begun.]
[Please wait a minute for the result.]
’...’ Not excited by the notification that much, Dhruv looked at it blankly.
After thinking for a moment, he looked at everyone and spoke, "Let’s go back for now... Aurora, you can go and collect some information about the dungeon,"
After giving her some instructions Dhruv moved and entered the portal. Everyone followed suit, while Vexar looked at the portal with intensity. Getting a nod from Aurora, he entered as well.
When everyone was gone, Aurora looked at the portal with interest. There was something... no, someone that had caught her attention.
’So, how did that old man reach Tier V this fast?’ she thought, remembering the information she had gathered from his soul.
’Well, no matter the tier... he will face the repercussions of showing hostility to Master...’ Smiling, she glanced at the portal for a second before moving toward it.
"Hey... beauty, do you want to come with us?" someone said, looking at Aurora with an intense gaze.
"We have a mage position left... you can come."
Having the outrageous beauty she did, Aurora received numerous invitations from people trying to add her to their group.
"Hey, don’t ignore us like this..."
She ignored them.
"Even Tier II will do..."
She didn’t pay any attention as well.
"Did your team just abandon you... you can come wit-" he was about to finish but stopped, feeling her gaze piercing his soul.
It was getting too much, so Aurora eventually responded.
"S-sorry..." he muttered before falling silent.
’Sigh! Lust is truly the most heinous sin of them all...’ she thought, getting closer to the portal.
Sighing, Aurora touched the portal. She blanked out for a few seconds before exiting inside the dungeon.
[Welcome to the Dark Abyss.]
A notification welcomed her as Aurora looked around.
’Now this is something interesting...’ she thought, looking around the portal.
Having not entered any dungeon of this sort, she didn’t have any expectations... but looking around, even those nonexistent expectations were met.
In no way did the place she was standing look like the inside of a dungeon.
It looked more like a reception area of sorts. There was even a puppet standing beside a table acting as a receptionist.
Aurora looked around, finding this place more and more interesting... there were places to sit, and there were beverages behind the puppet.
Aside from these decorations, what caught her attention even more was a board hanging right above the puppet’s counter. The board consisted of a list... a list for the first person to kill each floor’s boss.
"Someone already cleared two floors huh!... this isn’t good," she thought, looking at the names listed on the board.
---
Floor - First Enter - First Kill
1st - Nemo - Nemo
2nd - Nemo - Nemo
3rd - Nemo - ---
4th - --- - ---
---
"So, who is this Nemo guy..." Remembering his name, Aurora moved toward a door on which "1st Floor" was written.
Besides that, there were multiple doors all around, but not all of them were unlocked. Only three doors were unlocked, and if she wanted, she could enter the III floor directly... but that wasn’t what she was here to do.
’Huh! A jungle...’ Aurora thought, finding herself spawned within a jungle of sorts.
Trying to confirm her theory, she activated her mana sense and began looking around. Not even five minutes had passed when she found what she was looking for.
"Hmmmm! So the boss of the floor will respawn with each entrance... that’s pretty handy," she whispered, moving toward the monster and killing it without thinking twice.
While she was inspecting the corpse, a small stone appeared beside it. Bending down, she lifted it as its information revealed in front of her.
[Item: Stone of the Second Floor]
