Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 2357: Xiaohua Wants It Too
The invitation, mask, props, and other things all belonged to Xu Huo now.
Then he turned around to look at the other player.
One-on-one, he wasn’t a match; two-on-one made it even less likely to win. So, the player found an opportunity to shake off the Girl in the painting and escaped.
The Girl in the painting didn’t chase, but picked up the props that had fallen and handed the invitation she had stolen to Xu Huo.
This time, they gained a lot, which also attracted the attention of many players.
The higher the floor, the larger the space for players to move freely. On the lower floors, some rooms were replaced by open lounges or small gardens, broadening their horizon, and naturally allowing players to notice more situations, like the battle just now, with at least four waves of people observing them from different locations.
Players gathered here were all aiming for riches, with many strong ones among them. It’s harmless to get an early understanding of others’ props and fighting habits.
Of course, after Xu Huo and the Girl in the painting showed their strength, some players proactively approached them for cooperation.
This time, the one who came had a Giant Eye Fish Mask.
Seeing the Girl in the painting staring at his mask, he kindly explained, "It takes ten Octopus Masks to stack into one Giant Eye Fish Mask."
The Girl in the painting was straightforward, she asked, "Can I trade three Octopus Masks for it?"
She wanted his mask.
The Giant Eye Fish player’s expression cooled; mentioning the mask was just to intimidate them, who knew these two would ignore it, or intentionally not take the bait.
Xu Huo smiled and patted the Girl in the painting’s shoulder, signaling her to step back for him to negotiate.
"I don’t know much about the Fish Banquet rules, but enough, cooperation is possible, who opens the door?"
Making them laboratories to open doors was impossible.
"Besides, how many good props can there be in the rooms?"
Not enough to split.
The Giant Eye Fish chuckled, "You just came up from below, unaware of the gold content of rooms above; the players who seize rights to stay in rooms aren’t weak, they themselves are a rich asset, and untouched empty rooms even more so. To get people out of rooms, we need to have capital too."
Xu Huo deliberately looked him over and said, "Seems like you were invited out?"
Some rooms don’t only involve killing or being killed; escaping when overwhelmed is also possible.
As if he stepped on a sore spot, the Giant Eye Fish’s smile disappeared, and his tone turned icy, "I invited you thinking highly of you. You think you’re strong, but even a strong person can be eaten by a big fish at the Fish Banquet. You won’t survive the night without forming alliances!"
Xu Huo didn’t take his threat seriously, instead saying, "At worst, I’ll go downstairs and find somewhere to hide."
The other snorted coldly, "Won’t people from upstairs come down?"
After he spoke, he left with a flick of his sleeve. As his companions walked out, Xu Huo seemed to realize there was another Mermaid player among them.
As luck would have it, that Mermaid player was the female player who took them to open the door earlier.
She was captured, and upon seeing Xu Huo and the Girl in the painting, she immediately lowered her head.
With a Mermaid Mask, the chance of opening a safe room greatly increases, and the risk is lower.
But Xu Huo didn’t stop the Giant Eye Fish player to try to join them: a fifty-fifty chance, who knew if there were other traps inside?
He and the Girl in the painting went up to the ninth floor, randomly selecting a door to open.
This time, they encountered an occupied room with two players who were seriously injured; a fierce battle had recently taken place there, and furniture and beds were mostly dismantled.
Seeing them enter, the two were already ready to run outside.
Xu Huo stopped them, "If you don’t mind, we’d like to stay here and rest for a while."
Though he seemed reasonable, the two didn’t relax but shifted to the door.
Xu Huo and the Girl in the painting chose to approach the terrace.
"Why don’t you handle your injuries first? If I intended to attack, I would have done so when I came in." There was no food left in the room; Xu Huo took out his own food, shared some with the Girl in the painting, and casually asked the two, "Do you want some?"
The pair would never want it, cautiously declining with thanks.
The Girl in the painting ate while staring at the two, managing to free a hand to press her communicator, "Your injuries look beautiful, shaped like Xiaohua."
The two couldn’t tell if she was genuinely amazed or mocking them; their expressions were not pleasant.
The Girl in the painting turned and showed her arm to Xu Huo, expressing with a glance she wanted one too.
Xu Huo took out a pen and drew her two flowers.
"They’re really ugly." The Girl in the painting immediately responded.
Xu Huo waved his hand, telling her to go elsewhere.
The Girl in the painting walked around the room and finally approached the two players, asking how they got injured.
"A player with the nickname Tattoo Master caused it." Seeing her genuine interest, they briefly explained; the flower-shaped scars were old wounds, existing for three days, but the Tattooist’s props had special potion, causing wounds to constantly recur, even with players’ strong self-healing ability, they couldn’t heal quickly.
"Where is he?" the Girl in the painting asked, "Is he still alive?"
"He should be on the tenth floor." The two weren’t sure, and didn’t ask why she was so interested; they certainly wouldn’t be foolish enough to think someone genuinely found such scars pretty.
The Girl in the painting immediately expressed her desire to find the Tattooist.
"Is it a prop or characteristic?" Xu Huo asked the two, "If it’s just a prop with poison, the game’s antitoxin and Healing Potion should suffice."
"I’m sure it’s a prop, a flower-shaped tool that can randomly attack swiftly." One of them answered, "and it doesn’t need the holder to continuously control; it can coordinate with the player’s offense."
"I see." Xu Huo said and focused on his dinner again.
The Girl in the painting stared at their wounds for a while, then asked for some of their flowing blood, smearing it on her paper animal. When the frog turned red, her eyes lit up at Xu Huo.
"No way." Xu Huo responded, not looking up, rejecting her wishful thinking.
The Girl in the painting had no choice but to turn her attention to the two in the doorway. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"What a joke!" The two players weren’t stupid, why would they let her do experiments, clutching their Defense Prop tightly against the door.
Unexpectedly, the door opened from the outside!
With quick reflexes, the Girl in the painting threw her Red Frog, but it was blocked by the Defensive Barrier. After a brief explosion, five players squeezed inside.
The injured two were forced to retreat to the center of the room, and as the newcomers saw the wounded, their eyes lit up, their gaze quickly shifted between them and the Girl in the painting, scanning the room before noticing someone still sitting on the tattered sofa!
