Lord of All Gods
Chapter 2565
Dian Qing instantly felt his true energy stagnate. His heart sank as he immediately attempted to teleport away using spatial power. Yet the Suppression Tower locked onto him relentlessly, chasing him down with terrifying precision.
Meanwhile, Quan Sheng had already ensnared Sang Han within a web of Bloodsilver Threads. However, the threads froze solid the moment they touched the bone-chilling cold radiating from Sang Han, crystallizing into delicate ice filaments around him.
Sang Han frowned, puzzled by Quan Sheng’s intentions—until Hong Guang’s roar shattered the silence. With a surge of spatial energy, Quan Sheng shattered the ice encasing the threads, and the Bloodsilver Threads writhed to life like serpents, coiling viciously toward Sang Han.
A single tug from Quan Sheng, and those razor-sharp threads would have sliced Sang Han into ribbons.
But in that split second, Ye Liuyun acted.
Diving downward with spatial energy, he simultaneously activated his temporal power—freezing time itself.
His divine soul lashed out, erasing the spiritual imprint within the Suppression Tower before stashing it into his spatial realm. In one fluid motion, his blade flashed, severing Quan Sheng’s arm along with the Bloodsilver Threads, both vanishing into his spatial world.
Without pause, his divine soul plunged into Hong Guang’s consciousness, capturing him next.
Logically, his temporal power should have faded by now. Yet in this life-or-death moment, it held—just long enough for Ye Liuyun to brand Quan Sheng with a slave seal before sealing him away too.
Only then did time resume.
Dian Qing and Sang Han stood frozen, bewildered. One moment they’d been cornered; the next, their enemies had vanished without a trace.
Unseen beneath his Cloak of Shadows, Ye Liuyun remained motionless, undetectable.
As the two exchanged stunned glances, his doppelgänger struck—reactivating temporal power mid-descent to enslave several golden-armored alien overlords, spiriting them away.
When time flowed again, Mu Lai joined the fray under his own invisibility cloak, harrying the three-eyed aliens with alternating beams of searing light and devouring darkness. His erratic movements left the aliens disoriented, unable to pinpoint his location.
Seizing the chaos, Ye Liuyun and his doppelgänger scavenged the fallen three-eyed corpses—their prized ocular organs a priority. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Sang Han barely blinked. If anyone could pull this off, it was Ye Liuyun.
Dian Qing didn’t hesitate to call out, "We’re deeply grateful to whichever friend lent us a hand!"
"No need for thanks—let’s wipe out these aliens first!" Ye Liuyun replied curtly, sensing his hesitation.
The moment he finished speaking, he swiftly dodged an attack from a three-eyed alien. With a lightning-fast slash of his blade, he cleaved the creature in two, then swiftly stashed the upper half into his spatial realm.
Reassured by the response, Dian Qing stopped overthinking and charged toward the remaining aliens alongside Sang Han.
With so many of their elite warriors suddenly gone, the alien forces’ combat effectiveness plummeted. Ye Liuyun focused exclusively on hunting down the three-eyed aliens, using soul attacks to subdue those at the Dominator level before storing their bodies away.
Though puzzled by Ye Liuyun’s actions, Dian Qing knew questions would have to wait until the battle was over.
Once the Dominator-level aliens were eliminated, the human cultivators quickly gained the upper hand, bringing the fight to a decisive end.
Ye Liuyun recalled his doppelgänger and Mu Lai into his spatial realm, then removed his invisibility cloak, revealing his true appearance.
With a courteous clasped-fist salute, he asked Dian Qing, "I noticed you have no use for these alien corpses. Would you mind handing them all over to me?"
"Of course. But... can you actually make use of them?" Dian Qing readily agreed. After all, Ye Liuyun had not only saved their lives but turned the tide of battle. Without him, their entire unit might have been wiped out. Previously, they’d simply collected the aliens’ storage rings and burned the corpses after combat.
Ye Liuyun promptly retrieved several large cauldrons crafted from Energy Conversion Stones, placing them inside a Interspatial Ring before tossing it to Dian Qing.
"These cauldrons can convert the aliens’ energy cores into usable power for your cultivation. From now on, you can experiment with processing the corpses yourselves."
Dian Qing’s face lit up with excitement as he caught the ring, repeatedly expressing his gratitude. Not only had Ye Liuyun saved them, but he’d also gifted them such a priceless treasure.
With these Energy Conversion artifacts, every alien they slew from now on would become a source of precious energy.
Ye Liuyun didn’t stand on ceremony either, immediately directing the two half-beast corpse demon puppets to collect the bodies.
"Thank you for your righteous assistance, friend. We will never forget this life-saving grace. And such treasures—truly, we are endlessly grateful. The battlefield is yours to clear; we won’t take a thing.
I am Dian Qing, an elder of the Shengyuan Academy from the Tianhong Realm. May I ask your name? I noticed you’ve been collecting the remains of many alien overlords—might I inquire as to your purpose?"
Despite his gratitude, Dian Qing couldn’t help but express curiosity about Ye Liuyun’s actions.
"My name is Ye Liuyun, from the Sacred Planet. No need for formalities, Elder. Resisting the alien invaders is everyone’s duty—helping where I can is only natural. As for those aliens, I’m capturing them for training purposes."
Ye Liuyun was straightforward, speaking his mind without reservation.
The two hit it off immediately and sat down right there to continue their conversation.
With Dian Qing’s approval, the others made no objection as the half-beast corpse demon puppets scoured the battlefield—even the bodies of fallen human warriors weren’t spared, all collected without distinction.
Once the storage rings were handed over, Ye Liuyun stowed them away in his spatial world.
"What exactly... are those two creatures?" Dian Qing couldn’t help but notice the puppets’ peculiar nature.
"Ah, they’re not living beings—just a special kind of puppet. I took them from an alien elder!" Ye Liuyun explained with a chuckle.
The conversation soon turned to their respective worlds’ struggles against the alien invaders.
"So not only did you repel an army of millions, but you also wiped out every alien stronghold in the northern region?" Dian Qing was thoroughly impressed.
"Earlier, I saw someone attacking the three-eyed aliens with beams of white and black light—what was that?" he pressed.
Truth be told, their own battles against the aliens paled in comparison to Ye Liuyun’s experiences.
Ye Liuyun also explained, "That was a three-eyed alien under my control, cloaked in an invisibility cape. I put it away immediately to avoid any misunderstandings."
"An invisibility cape?" Dian Qing’s interest was instantly piqued.
"It’s a treasure that can render the wearer invisible!" Ye Liuyun kept his explanation brief, wary that Dian Qing might ask for it outright.
And ask he did. Without hesitation, Dian Qing retrieved five complete planetary essences from his Interspatial Ring and offered, "I’ll trade you these five essences, plus the essence from this alien outpost, for one invisibility cape. What do you say?"
He added earnestly, "We need special artifacts like this to fight the aliens. Their strength surpasses ours, and without such tools, we might not stand a chance next time."
