A mournful “oooo” rolled out as a second colossal whale-soul erupted from the beast’s head. The cry rattled every mind present; weaker souls spat blood on the spot.

Even riddled with three black holes the soul refused to die. It arrowed straight for Lightning, Demon Dragon and Black Tiger—the ones who had burned it with white light.

Lightning and Demon Dragon answered with black beams. The whale dodged, velocity unchanged, and bored down on Black Tiger who had no black-light to fire.

Second分身 froze time; together with Ye Liuyun he poured black rays into the onrushing soul, erasing a huge chunk. The drain was savage; convinced the remnant would finish the job, they released the time halt.

No one expected the shredded soul to keep coming. It slammed into Black Tiger’s sea of consciousness and detonated it—then, from the whale’s body, a third human-shaped soul burst out, lunging at the nearest target: Phantom Hand.

It knew distance meant death-by-black-light, so it simply picked whoever was closest.

Phantom Hand hadn’t time to fire before the human soul pierced his head.

Ye Liuyun froze time again and rocketed his own soul in pursuit—but the instant he entered Phantom Hand’s mind he saw only wreckage; the man’s soul had already been obliterated.

This whale had actually cultivated three souls. The human one, weaker than the cetacean pair, still towered above Phantom Hand, and in human form it wielded far more techniques.

Ye Liuyun’s fury ignited Nether Ghost-flame that incinerated the human soul to nothing.

Simultaneously Second分身 yanked the remnants of the second whale-soul—now spilling from Black Tiger’s ruined head—into his own mind and devoured them.

By the time he reacted, he instantly triggered his Time power again, trying to rewind the moment—but the whale’s soul force was simply too overwhelming. Time reversal couldn’t erase an attack that had already landed inside the mind.

The book-demon in his sea of consciousness sighed. “It’s useless. Its soul power far outclasses a peak Ninth-Level Return-to-One warrior’s, and it’s burning everything. Your current Time authority can’t rewrite a soul-level strike. If it had been a physical blow, you might have changed the outcome.”

Ye Liuyun was stunned. A single suicidal whale had just wiped out two of his beast partners.

He asked the book-demon at once, “Is there any way to save them—either of them?”

He had only recently subjugated Black Tiger; if he could rescue only one, bringing Phantom Hand back would be enough—Phantom Hand had followed him for years, and the bond was deeper.

The book-demon shook its head helplessly. “Get stronger—fast.” Then it fell silent.
