Lord of All Gods
Chapter 3055
After Zhuge Feiyu claimed the Purple Kylin Snake, he was startounded to see that the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner had also sucked in the largest Mist-Hidden Evil Spirit.
The moment the Purple Kylin Snake spotted that swirling mass of malice it wanted to tear it apart on the spot and avenge itself. Zhuge Feiyu, however, suggested refining the mist instead and turning it into a personal weapon.
Ye Liuyun agreed: with its time-power gone, the qilin’s offense and defense had both dropped; better to forge the wraith-mist into a new trump card. He added his own persuasion. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
The Purple Kylin Snake considered, then nodded. On the spot it refined the fog, infusing it with violet flame until the mist glowed purple and flickered with fire—an awe-inspiring sight.
Only then did Ye Liuyun cremate the qilin’s body, letting its spirit follow Zhuge Feiyu into the Netherworld while he sealed the gate behind them.
By now Vermilion Bird and the other cultivators were already scouring every trace of fog with flame and spiritual force, making sure no hidden evil spirits remained.
Three stone doors emerged from the cliff face.
Ye Liuyun didn’t rush for treasure; he first checked on his warriors—fourteen had fallen to the wraiths, among them a peak Returning-Eighth expert. He set down another array disk to shield everyone, recalled his beasts into his inner world for healing, and left.
Back inside, Vermilion Bird told everyone of Purple Kylin Snake’s death; shock rippled through them all. No one had imagined that even a creature able to wield time could be slain.
Ye Liuyun himself went straight to his clone’s pocket world to heal; he spoke to no one. Everyone knew losing another beast weighed on him—no one dared disturb him; they simply focused on strengthening their soul force. They now understood that without a powerful soul even mastery of time could not stop death from stronger foes.
The defeat stung Ye Liuyun deeply: both he and Purple Kylin Snake wielded time power yet had been helpless before an opponent with overwhelming soul strength. Still he didn’t blame time itself—only his own lacking spirit strength.
“At least I remembered this time—to send Purple Kylin Snake’s ghost into Netherworld,” he muttered aloud still regretting that Black Tiger’s and Phantom Hand’s spirits hadn’t been saved before them only eleven beasts remained three lost in this single trip across Desolate Sea guilt gnawed at him resolved not let them risk their lives again
When both bodies were healed Ye Liuyun stepped out once more studying three identical stone doors only difference lay within each triangle carved at center ring pattern varied
“Need different keys even inside?” Treasure hunter after all these hurdles thought irritably
Golden pupils probed each door but anti-scrying arrays blocked him frustration over Purple Kylin Snake still raw cursed setter for needless complications without further delay summoned fire chariot
“Blow it open If mountain collapses so be it treasure can rot”
Soldiers obeyed firing single shots careful not overdo array cracked then crumbled entire door shattered dust under sustained blasts Ye Liuyun peered inside nothing but lone box containing one gray pill
Ye Liuyun stared at the pill for a moment and realized its grade was similar to the golden core he’d obtained earlier.
“Fine, a Void-grade pill—at least the trip wasn’t a total waste.”
He still felt it was a bad trade: losing a Devil Beast partner for a single pill. Still, a Void-grade elixir could boost his strength considerably.
He stepped forward, opened the box, and prepared to study the pill’s effects.
The instant the lid lifted, a soul burst out of the pill and shot into Ye Liuyun’s sea of consciousness. The moment it arrived, it froze—dumbstruck—caught in the golden light of the Myriad-God Token, unable to move an inch.
The token didn’t dissolve it; it simply pinned it in place.
“What is this thing?”
Ye Liuyun examined the soul in astonishment. It had arms, legs, and a head—eyes, brows, everything—but its body was perfectly round like the pill itself, not remotely human.
He didn’t recognize the creature, but its soul wasn’t particularly strong. He immediately used Soul-Search to learn its origin.
“So... after ages of storage, the pill nurtured its own spirit—just like an artifact spirit!”
It was an eye-opener; he’d never heard of a “pill spirit” before.
The physical pill was now worthless; this spirit had devoured every shred of its essence. Absorbing the spirit would be equivalent to swallowing the elixir itself.
A quick probe revealed its effect: enlightenment in heavenly forces. Without hesitation he began devouring it.
The spirit begged for mercy; Ye Liuyun showed none and consumed every trace. Had his sea of consciousness lacked the Myriad-God Token, that same spirit could have wielded worldly power to shatter his soul and kill him outright.
While absorbing it he studied its assault method; such soul attacks could enhance his own future techniques.
Once finished he left at once—the spirit had known only this lone treasure existed here.
Immediately afterward its medicinal power erupted: every motion stirred ambient worldly energy around him. His perception of heaven-and-earth force sharpened dramatically as well as his control over them..
Stepping through that doorway again ,he refrained from firing up flame chariot .Instead seizing newfound insight into cosmic energies ,he summoned those very forces shaping them into blast aimed straight second gate .
With each strike worldly might within attacks grew stronger ;simultaneously infusing more such power into own profound core .
