Lord of All Gods
Chapter 3083
Ye Liuyun’s jaw dropped in astonishment—he hadn’t expected armor that could literally turn into skin.
Only now did he understand why the blue whale had never refined this suit. Most likely, if the whale’s cultivation didn’t surpass the armor’s rank, it simply couldn’t subdue it.
“War-God Armor! A real treasure!”
He cheered inwardly, acknowledging the armor and letting it stay on his body. From now on, in moments of danger, it could shield him at any time.
Still, he communicated with the War-God Armor: when he was tempering his flesh in the future, it must not interfere.
After taming the armor, Ye Liuyun’s excitement soared.
His recent gains had been overwhelming—divine essence, soul attacks, marrow-cleansing pills, flame, lightning, saber intent, spatial power—all had improved dramatically.
Now he had a life-saving War-God Armor on top of it all; even a Void-realm cultivator couldn’t kill him.
Suddenly he thought of that that great bow.
“Let’s see if the same trick can force it to reveal its true form!”
With that, he used spatial power to send the bow straight into his sea of consciousness, letting the Myriad-God Token deal with it.
To his surprise, the token erupted in blinding golden light that shot toward the bow.
From within the bow burst an overwhelmingly powerful soul. It looked like rust clinging to the weapon—rust-colored all over, faceless, yet human-shaped—and it spoke directly into his mind.
“I am Rust-Sealed Spirit Fiend, subordinate of the Void God-King. By decree, I have sealed this God-Slay Bow for a million years. Anyone who dares release it shall die without mercy!”
Even under the golden light of the Myriad-God Token, the spirit could still move, proof that its soul force was formidable.
Ye Liuyun was momentarily stunned. “Void God-King? Sounds terrifying! And this God-Slaying Bow warranted a million-year seal!”
The information was far beyond his comprehension; he wasn’t sure whether to annihilate the Rust-Sealed Spirit Fiend. He worried the bow might attract pursuers like the Mourning Bell once had.
“Who dares devour my soul power? Stop at once!” the spirit bellowed, struggling violently.
“Do it! Whatever the consequences! If the Void God-King bothered to seal this bow, it must be priceless!”
With that thought, the saber-intent seed in his sea of consciousness slashed at the spirit’s soul. His two souls joined in, using spatial power to crush the fiend.
Sensing the threat of the saber intent, the spirit tried to dodge, but the Myriad-God Token’s light slowed it, and Ye Liuyun’s spatial compression pinned it in place. It couldn’t evade; the saber intent cleaved it diagonally, and spatial force exploded it apart.
Yet the scattered soul fragments immediately tried to re-coalesce. Ye Liuyun promptly used spatial partitioning to split the soul power into many pieces, storing each in separate layers of the void so they couldn’t reunite.
Now the Myriad-God Token only had to deal with a much smaller spirit fragment; the task became effortless, and it began devouring the soul power rapidly.
“You cannot treat me thus! If the God-Slaying Bow reappears, countless will perish!” the spirit roared.
Ye Liuyun glanced at the bow; the rust remained, but he figured he could refine it away this time.
Next, he released the scattered fragments of the Rust-Sealed Spirit Fiend bit by bit, letting the Myriad-God Token consume them all.
This time, however, the token gave no feedback—apparently the spirit’s soul force was so potent that the token simply absorbed it to replenish itself.
Ye Liuyun didn’t mind. Carefully, he took out the Heaven-Swallowing Cauldron, shrank it, and moved it into his sea of consciousness. Then he placed the God-Slaying Bow inside and burned off the rust.
He ignited Golden Crow Sacred Flame. In an instant, every speck of rust turned to ash. The bow erupted with terrifying killing intent.
The pressure froze Ye Liuyun stiff; he didn’t dare move.
The Myriad-God Token once again shone its golden light into the cauldron.
The two times the Myriad Gods Token flared with golden light were the most intense bursts Ye Liuyun had ever seen—proof that the God-Slaying Bow was no ordinary weapon. Otherwise, that so-called Void God King wouldn’t have used such a powerful Rust-Sealed Spirit Fiend to lock it away.
Yet Ye Liuyun’s instincts told him the bow itself was far stronger than the fiend.
Just as he worried he’d stirred up disaster, the Myriad Gods Token quickly reined in its golden light. The God-Slaying Bow leapt out of the Heaven-Swallowing Cauldron on its own, shot out of his sea of consciousness, shrank to normal size, and landed in his hand.
He guessed the token had mediated for him; otherwise the bow wouldn’t have been so eager. He fed it a wisp of divine sense—sure enough, the bow accepted him as master without the slightest resistance.
“Whew...”
Only then did he exhale in relief. Without the Myriad Gods Token, he’d have died twice in the span of a few breaths.
“Good thing it never talks to me, or it would definitely scold me for the constant trouble.”
He warned himself: stop dragging the token into messes. If it ever failed to cope, he’d be doomed.
After steadying his rattled nerves, he began to absorb the bow’s information.
Its body was forged from Hundred-Refined Sky-Iron, and the string—shockingly—was nine Void-realm dragon tendons twisted into one and refined. Just the materials’ pedigree left Ye Liuyun stunned.
The bow informed him it had no rank; anyone could draw it. Yet every arrow loosed through it would strike with power one full major realm above the user’s own.
“An ability like that? Then I can fire shots at early Void Fourth Layer strength?”
He drew the bow at once, bracing for his divine essence to be drained dry.
But to his surprise, unlike any bow he’d used before, it reached full draw with only the energy of a single core. The pressure it radiated was formidable, yet clearly weaker than the eruption it had unleashed inside the cauldron.
Even so, a Void Fourth Layer aura was enough to fill everyone in his inner world with dread.
He didn’t loose the arrow, afraid it might pierce straight through his spatial realm, and slowly eased the string back. The energy the bow had siphoned flowed right back into him.
