As Zelir pondered, the Mage assessment on the field began.

Riley took a deep breath and began to channel the Magic Power in his mind, forming one Spell Structure after another.

The first Magic, Fireball Skill.

The second Magic, Water Ball Skill.

The third Magic, Ice Cone Skill.

Zelir pursed his lips.

’These are all Magic I’ve already analyzed...’

’Show me something new, Riley.’

The fourth Magic, Rock Bullet Skill!

When Riley finished casting, three rock projectiles, formed from highly compressed dirt and gravel, materialized before him.

With a wave of Riley’s hand, the three Rock Bullets shot forward, whistling through the air like miniature meteorites.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Three loud impacts echoed as they slammed into the ground, leaving distinct craters and sending stone fragments flying.

’Oh!’

Zelir’s eyes lit up when he saw this Magic.

’It’s similar to the Ice Cone Skill. But Ice Cone Skill only lets you fire one Ice Cone, whereas Rock Bullet Skill can fire three at once.’

’It lacks the Ice Burst effect, but the sheer number makes up for it. It could be used for suppressive fire against an enemy.’

’Not bad at all.’

The fifth Magic, Lighting Skill.

The sixth Magic, Stone Wall Skill!

Riley clapped his palms together, and the ground began to tremble.

With a CRACKLE! CRACKLE!, a rough stone wall, several dozen centimeters thick and about two meters in both height and width, shot up from the ground!

’Hiding behind a wall like that would certainly put one’s mind at ease.’

Zelir nodded slightly.

’This is a very practical Magic, too.’

From the ground below the stone wall Riley had created, several tough green vines burst forth. They snaked around the wall, climbing and wrapping around it, binding it securely in just a few seconds.

’Another very useful Control Magic.’

The tenth Magic, Frost Technique!

Riley once again chose the stone wall he had created as the target.

Once he finished charging the spell, a layer of Ice Crystals silently coated the stone wall’s surface. It continued to spread, quickly covering more than half of the area.

’Although it deals some frost damage, its primary function is still control.’

With the casting of ten Level Two Single-layer Spell Structure Magic complete, Riley’s performance earned a small round of applause from the viewing platform.

Zelir also nodded in satisfaction.

He had witnessed five new types of Magic at once, which would save him at least a dozen Gold Coins on Scrolls. Plus, they were all practical skills for adventuring.

Under Technique Celestial Calculation, a string of new tasks appeared one after another, creating an unprecedentedly lively display.

’Good thing all the analyses are running simultaneously. They don’t have to be queued up one by one.’

’My Intelligence Attribute is now at 86, so my analysis speed has increased even more. I should be able to figure out these Level Two Magic spells in two or three days, tops.’

Zelir had been watching very carefully. Of the ten spells Riley cast, only seven had a Casting Speed of under three seconds.

The remaining three went a little over time.

In addition, Zelir also keenly noticed that all ten of Riley’s spells were from the Elemental Magic System, without a single one from the Arcane Magic System.

’A normal Mage wouldn’t be so specialized, so there can only be one conclusion.’

’Just as Instructor Manlin said, Riley’s brain naturally rejects the Spell Structures of the Arcane Magic System, which is why he can’t learn them.’

’Not every Mage can be like me, capable of studying both the Elemental and Arcane Magic Systems.’

Zelir pondered for a moment.

’This probably has nothing to do with Technique Celestial Calculation. Is it just my own natural talent?’

Down on the field, beads of sweat had appeared on Riley’s forehead, and his chest heaved from deep breaths. It was clear that continuous casting had taken a heavy toll on him.

"Not bad."

Instructor Marvin handed Riley a Crystal emitting a soft light. "Take a rest."

Riley took the Crystal and immediately closed his eyes to enter Meditation.

The light from the Crystal flowed into Riley’s body. In less than a minute, he opened his eyes again. He had already recovered more than half the Magic Power he had just spent.

Next was the most important and most difficult part of the assessment—successfully releasing a Level Three Single-layer Spell Structure Magic within five seconds!

Zelir was fully focused, his body leaning forward involuntarily.

Riley let out a soft breath, settling his mind.

The Magic began to charge!

Water vapor in the air began to swirl in Riley’s palm at an unprecedented speed, extending outwards.

In just a few seconds, a Water Blade shimmering with a clear light condensed and took shape.

That Water Blade was only as wide as a palm, and though it was as thin as a cicada’s wing, surging Magic Power flowed within it!

Water, normally soft, had been transformed into a lethally sharp blade through extreme compression and acceleration!

"Hah!"

Riley’s eyes snapped open as he made a diagonal slash with one hand!

The Water Blade suspended over his palm slashed down in sync!

SWISH!

A sharp sound tore through the air.

The surface of the stone wall Riley had previously summoned silently split open along the Water Blade’s trajectory, leaving a gap as smooth as a mirror.

The upper part of the stone wall slowly slid off, crashing to the ground with a THUD that kicked up dust. The cut was unnervingly smooth.

It wasn’t hard to imagine the consequences if this strike had landed on a Demon or a person.

Zelir’s eyes widened slightly.

As expected, a new analysis task appeared under Technique Celestial Calculation.

[Water of Cutting, Analysis Progress—1%]

After a brief pause, the progress bar for Water of Cutting began to advance rapidly, rising all the way to 32%.

’The foundation must have been provided by the Spell Structure for the Water Ball Skill...’ Zelir guessed.

This spell of Riley’s was a real eye-opener for him.
