A Farmer's Journey To Immortality-Chapter 445: Various Problems In Keeping the Holy Land Torel to One’s Self
Aksai stood before two towering figures, the pressure in the air so heavy it felt like walking through thick fog.
Yet, his expression remained calm and respectful. He took a deep breath and stepped forward, bowing deeply.
"Greetings, Lord Blackblood. Lord Netherfrost," he said.
Hayaat Blackblood and Nael Netherfrost stared at him in silence.
Then Aksai straightened up and looked directly at Hayaat.
"Lord Blackblood, I bring a message from your son, Haitin. He's deeply worried about your well-being. He hopes you can return to the Blackblood Sect as soon as possible and take your place again as the sect master."
Hayaat Blackblood's face didn't move, but a sharp glint flashed in his eyes.
Even though he was gravely injured—his chest wounded and his heart struggling to beat properly—he stood tall and proud, not letting a single trace of weakness show.
His back remained straight, his expression cold. Showing pain in front of Nael was one thing… but to show it in front of a junior? Never. He was a Core Formation Lord. His dignity couldn't allow it.
Still, Aksai's words had clearly reached him. The matters in the outside world… they were serious.
Hayaat narrowed his eyes at Aksai, then activated his Spirit Sense to scan the young man carefully. The pressure wrapped around Aksai like invisible vines, pressing down on him slowly, testing him.
But Aksai didn't panic. He knelt on one knee and calmly spoke.
"I am not a member of the demonic faction, my Lords," Aksai said respectfully.
"I met Brother Haitin recently. It was through the Heretic Dao legacy I possess. We got along very well, and after we realized that our legacies were two halves of the same whole, we worked together to combine them."
Hayaat's gaze sharpened but he didn't say anything and let Aksai finish.
"Brother Haitin asked me to deliver the complete Heretic Dao legacy to you both," Aksai continued. "He believes it might help you overcome the restrictions of the Holy Land Torel and return to the Dadangar Subcontinent."
The Spirit farmer then raised his head slightly and looked around in confusion.
"Hmm? Where is the Yaksha Lord?" he asked innocently.
Nael's eyes flickered with cold light, while Hayaat's expression darkened in an instant.
The air grew tense.
"That bastard…" Hayaat growled, his voice deep and full of fury. "He ran away after stabbing me in the back. Literally."
He gritted his teeth, the veins on his forehead bulging with suppressed rage.

"If I see him before I die, I'll drag him down with me," Hayaat spat, his aura flaring up violently for a second before he coughed and restrained it.
Aksai remained silent, a concerned look on his face.
In his mind, he already knew what had happened. He had seen the betrayal play out in full from the safety of the treasury hall. But on the outside, he kept up the act. His puzzled expression didn't waver, and even Hayaat—sharp as he was—couldn't see through it.
There was a reason why Aksai had Velia intervene in the dispute between the three Core Formation Lords. If he had let things run their course, the Yaksha Lord would have managed to kill Blackblood Lord instead of just critically injuring him.
At first, Aksai had planned to let all three Core Formation Lords from the demonic faction perish. He even had some nefarious designs in mind—like using Velia's help to kill them and loot them for everything they were worth.
Although AKsai now had free access to the Holy Land Torel, its resources couldn't be obtained that easily. Just like what he had done earlier, he needed to pass the tests of various testing grounds in order to claim the resources. And they would be distributed as per his performance not his needs.
There was another catch. Now that he had become the legacy core disciple of the Holy Land Torel, he had to follow its rules. He couldn't just give the tests randomly. He needed to keep on improving in his cultivation journey in order to be qualified for the further tests.
In short, the Holy Land Torel would help Aksai in the long run. But it could not do much for his current needs. The Core Formation Lords like Hayaat were actually better targets.
Not to mention the fact that Nael was Nuya's father. He was Aksai's father-in-law, practically speaking even though Aksai wouldn't dare to call out to him as such in his face. It was not right to rob one's father-in-law under any circumstances.
But then there was another reason why Aksai wanted to get rid of the demonic Lords. He could have stopped them from ever re-entering the Holy Land Torel by finishing them off for good.
After all, Aksai considered the entirety of the Holy Land Torel as his own inheritance. The others who had entered were nothing more than intruders in his home. And he couldn't let uninvited guests linger—especially when each of them was far stronger than him individually.
However, after careful consideration, Aksai didn't let greed cloud his judgement. He wasn't some psycho killer who would kill someone simply because he had the means and capabilities to.
Plus, killing the demonic Lords would actually be detrimental as it would break the balance between the righteous and demonic factions. It would create unrest in the entirety of the Dadangar Subcontinent, which was not good for Aksai in any scale of measurement.
Aksai's business would be affected. His safety in the Emerald Cove would be affected as well.
For him to travel foreign worlds with a peace of mind, he needed to get his house affairs in order. He couldn't do that when chaotic times were brewing across the Dadangar Subcontinent.
Even if the Blackblood Lord dies, having two Core Formation Lords in the demonic faction would make it difficult for the righteous faction Lords to infringe upon the Wild Devil Lands.
Although the two demonic lords would have internal disputes, they could only come together in order to face the righteous faction lords. Thus, a fragile balance would be maintained.
Not to mention, there was one more glitch in his initial plans in keeping the entirety of the Holy Land Torel for himself.
