Abyssal Awakening-Chapter 687: One Against Three Hybrids

"What's wrong prototype? Feeling the pressure? Don't worry, when we take you back to the family, you'll get to enjoy the experiments once more." Alana narrowed her eyes seeing Alyss being on guard against them.

However, Alyss didn't respond as the golden chains disappeared.

"Hais~ Pressure? Not at all." Alice took over with a grin.

Sweeping her hair back, she gave the three of them a middle finger.

"I'll feel more pressure from joining Suyin's experiment than being captured by you three dipshits. One can control vectors, one uses my blood and you, the third. . . Let's just say we'll figure out as we go.

"What I feel from you three amounts to only a mild annoyance. Nothing more, nothing less. Hmm, I suppose insects would be an apt description for you. So how does it feel insect? Being modelled after me?" Snapping her finger, Alice slammed her foot down as a field of spider lilies began to blossom.

Mira wanted to cancel it out but Alice revealed a twisted grin.

"Gotcha."

Triggered Cast!

The moment Mira tried to cancel out Alice's field, a Void portal appeared next to her!

Alice's arm reached out, grabbing Mira by the face as Kaine wanted to stop her but Alice was always prepared for what Kaine would do.

Two fights. That's all she needed to set up the parameters for these two!

Beneath Kaine's feet, spears of blood and fire pierced up, forcing her to lean back while Alana made the move instead.

Feeling the invisible force wrap around her arm, Alice gave her a side eye.

"You want it? You can have it!" Detonating a Void Flux inside her own arm, she began regenerating a new limb while her spare hand grabbed Mira by the throat, pulling her through the portal.

There were many things that Alice could use right now. Some she would rather save till the moment she has to fight the Outer God and Kazira.

So for these Hybrids, she'll only use three Sigils.

"Let go of my sister!" Kaine shouted as her eyes turned bloodshot.

The space around Alice began to collapse with an invisible force trying to tear her in half. Alice understood that Mira would cancel her the moment she tried to use anything to fight against this. But fortunately for her. . .

"Go on, try and tear me in half. Do it b*tch!" Alice taunted, lifting Mira up and using her as a hostage. If Kaine were to tear her in half, Mira would follow!

"!!!" Freezing up, Kaine was stuck at a crossroad while Alana let out a sigh.

Taking off her glasses, Alice was entirely captured in her gaze as she licked her lips.

In that moment, a portal opened up next to Alice.

Vector Control!

Forcefully separating Alice and Mira away from one another, Alana wanted to throw another collar around Alice but she was prepared!

Snapping her fingers, a spear of fire condensed into a single burning white line.

Void Flux! Spear form!

Using Kaden's casting method that she was taught in the Inverted World, Alice modified it for maximum piercing power and speed!

*BANG!!!

Firing the spear through the portal, Alana was forced to pull her arm back and dodge.

Despite the spear missing its main target, Alana glanced down at her arm and saw the line of charred flesh.

Meanwhile, Alice wiped away the blood on her face.

She was beginning to understand Alana's powers now. That last attack, it was no doubt her fourth Sigil.

The more they fight, the more information Alice gets. And the more information she gets, the more triggered casts that she could set. At the end of this, no matter what they do, she'll have an automated counter for it.

*BANG!!!

Blocking a strike from Kaine, Alice could see the anger in her eyes as she tried to tear her in half once more.

Destruction Point!

Taking over, Alyss wrapped herself in a layer of Eldritch Energy before slamming her fist into Kaine's stomach, causing her to cough up blood.

While Vector Manipulation was strong, it had the same weakness as other Abyssal powers. Weak against Eldritch unless at a Lord level!

With this, Alyss could buy enough time for herself to launch a counter.

Kaine's key weakness when using her power is that she couldn't manipulate the Vectors of multiple targets. Doing so causes a great amount of stress to her body.

Meaning, her strongest point was also her weakest!

From above, a cage of blood descended with the intent of trapping Alyss but Alice swapped in and stomped her foot down.

Around her, briar thorns whipped towards the cage, injecting her own blood into the mix. Forcing Mira to sever her connection unless she wanted a raw dose of Alice's blood.

Observing all of this, Alana had her arms folded.

A smile appeared on her face as she was beginning to 'understand' Alice.

"Mira, Kaine, it's time for work. Don't disappoint me now." Alana spoke with a chuckle.

Tapping her heel against the ground, a violet aura appeared around the two girls as their eyes shifted to match Alana.

With a new flood of information in their mind, they rushed to action!

'Watch out!' Alyss warned, realising that their movements had changed.

Adjusting her stance, Alice tried to parry Kaine's strike with the help of her triggered cast but it failed to activate! The conditions weren't met!

Instead of manipulating Alice's vector, she forced her own body to be much faster than before!

*BANG!!!

Blocking her strike using her arm, Alice slid back by several meters with a frown on her face.

Mira on the other hand, activated her own limit break.

Plunging her finger into her neck, she activated the collar as black stars appeared around her neck.

Opening her hand, a black and red orb appeared.

*RUMBLE!!!

Energy converged towards Alice as she surrounded herself with a barrier only for it to collapse.

'She's using something similar to blood mist.' Alice analysed before throwing a blood weapon behind her.

Quickly forcing a connection and swapping locations, she watched as the space erupted with a pillar of crimson energy.

Her new landing spot wasn't safe either. Briar thorns, different from her own burst out from the ground, looking to restrain Alice.

Destruction point + Soul Chaser!

Taking over, Alyss unleashed a series of slashes to destroy the thorns before launching her blade towards Alana.

However, before her blade could hit, she flicked her finger up and the blade was tossed into the sky.

Out of the three of them, Alana was the most annoying.

So far, Alice has concluded the girl could 'study' and 'copy' the abilities that she's seen.

Curving her lips up into a grin, Alice began to laugh.

'I'm staring to get it now. How to kill these three frauds.'

Seeing Alice suddenly begin to laugh, Alana couldn't help but tilt her head.

In this kind of situation. . . She was laughing? Why?

Has she lost it?

"Hybrids, let me ask you this. Why do you still work for the Zenia's? Your collar? Brainwashing? Or do you believe what they're doing is the right thing? Do you believe yourself part of the new generation?" Alice asked, focusing entirely on evasion for now.

"Grasping at straws now are we? Trying to plant seeds of doubt into our mind?" Alana asked with a sigh. She thought it was going to be something else but if all she's doing is planting seeds of doubt then she was severely disappointed.

"Nah, you misunderstood." Alice jumped up to avoid Kaine's strike before landing on a platform of blood.

"I'm asking so I can offer you a chance to live. To see if you're as far gone as the Zenia's or if there some hope in you. But your response has already told me everything I need to know. Then what about you two?" Alice turned to Kaine and Mira.

She could see that the two had a connection deeper than most. Siblings that could only reply on one another. If they wanted to-

Before Alice could even finish her thought, Kaine burst into action, trying to throw Alice from the sky.

"A shame." Alice sighed.

She had hoped that maybe the two of them might've been like Selen. But clearly that was wishful thinking.

Since that was the case, there's no longer a need for hesitation.

All that's left was an execution for the three of them!

"You first." Alice grinned towards Mira.

Physical Resonance!

Despite not being able to use Sigil swap right now since her body was flooded with Eldritch energy, there was a different Physical Resonance for her to use.

First Sigil + Eldritch Energy + Fourth Sigil!

With her understanding of EE thanks to Suyin's research paper, she understood that it could replace Duality to some extent as a catalyst for change!

Appearing next to Mira while covered head to toe in a dark rolling mist, Alice formed a blade around her hand and plunged it into Mira's back.

"!!!" Blood dripped from her lips as Mira glanced down slowly.

She could see Alice's hand through her chest and holding her heart.

"MIRA!!!" Kaine wanted to interfere but a barrier of Void mixed with Eldritch was keeping her powers out!

Opening her mouth, Mira revealed a bitter smile and wanted to say her farewells.

*BANG!!!

Detonating a Void Flux In Mira's head, Alice tossed her lifeless body aside and crushed the heart in her hands.

"One down. Two more to go~"

"What a shame. Seems like there will be some casualties on the side of the Zenia family." Voruth-Zal muttered before curving his lips up into a smile.

"I'm guessing this is what you wanted from the beginning. Rejoice Kazira, you might be getting a new vessel after all." He turned to the Apostle of War.

"Of course, that's only if you can kill her. Though considering her usage of Eldritch energy. . . that seems unlikely in your current state."

"Spit it out, what do you want." Kazira gritted her teeth.

Hearing this, a scheming, twisted grin appeared on Voruth-Zal's face as he spoke his terms.
