Xi Wanlin lay on the bed in the hostel, feeling incredibly exhilarated.

When one is feeling down, it’s indeed good to make some new friends and go out and about. That way, one can change their mood. She wasn’t feeling that depressed anymore.

The hostel had poor sound insulation. At first, it was very lively. The members of the mountaineering team gathered together and went crazy, chattering nonstop, especially some of the female members.

Xi Wanlin wasn’t a regular member of the mountaineering team, but luckily she exercised regularly, so she was in good shape.

A female team member joked, “Captain, I didn’t realize you were so caring and considerate.”

As the day slowly brightened, the two walked along the mountains. The dew in the mountains was heavy, with occasional insects and bird calls, and the sound of a babbling brook not far away. It was both thrilling and refreshing.

The most relaxed moments for a person are when they are in close contact with nature.

Xi Wanlin thought it was just the typical wariness between women. Perhaps this female team member also fancied Lu Lei, and now that he had brought her along, there were bound to be some single female members feeling jealous.

Xi Wanlin didn’t chat much with that female team member. After washing the vegetables, she returned.

By afternoon, Xi Wanlin could no longer hold out.

She went to a restroom in the scenic area and then asked Lu Lei, “I want to take a nap. Which tent would be appropriate to sleep in?”

Some male team members teased, “You and Captain Lu can just sleep in the same tent.”

They had brought large tents that could accommodate seven or eight people each.

Xi Wanlin didn’t believe she could share a tent with just Lu Lei. Seeing one with no one inside, she laughed and said, “I don’t care anymore, I need to get some sleep.”
