Accidentally Yours, Mr. Stranger-Chapter 95 - 6. Followed
Chapter 95: 6. Followed
Kyrell glanced back and forth in the living room as he kept glancing at the staircase every few seconds. He was worried out of his mind, his thoughts straying in the wrong direction.
’Why is Sienna not down yet? It’s been more than an hour since I left her in her room,’ he wondered, imagining all possible situations she may have faced after he left.
"Did she slip and fall? Did she hurt herself? Is she alright?" His body froze when he thought about her hurting herself. His legs started walking even before he realized what he was doing. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
But he stopped when he saw the woman he was thinking about climbing down the stairs.
If not for her gritting her teeth occasionally, Kyrell would have assumed she was fine. There seemed to be nothing wrong with her. She was walking normally.
"Good morning, Miss," Agnes greeted Sienna once she was downstairs, and she nodded at her lightly.
"Breakfast is ready, Miss."
The group took their seats and started having breakfast. Once in a while, the members of the Cheetah Corps would look at Kyrell and Sienna, their eyes flashing with questions and curiosity. But they didn’t ask anything.
Sienna and Kyrell had seen their peculiar behavior. Since they didn’t say anything, the couple didn’t ask them anything.
"Agnes, you should be careful from today onwards," Sienna warned her, once she was done eating.
"Miss?" Agnes didn’t know what Sienna was trying to convey and tilted her head to her left.
"The news about Dad leaving a will and its contents will be released today. The media and other people will try to get to Frank and you. After all, you two are my closest kin right now."
"I understand, Miss. We’ll be careful."
"I’ve already spoken to Frank. He’ll tell you what to do."
"Yes, Miss. You should be careful as well."
"I will. Send my regards to Anthony. I’ll visit him tomorrow."
"Yes, Miss."
Kyrell drove the car as usual, and Sienna sat in the back while Amy took the passenger seat.
"Amy, you should be cautious, too. People will approach you too but for a different reason."
"Yes, Miss Lawrence." Amy had prepared herself for what might come. Kyrell had already briefed her and the others about the possible repercussions after the matter of the will was released to the public.
Sienna’s phone rang suddenly, and her brows jumped when she saw who was calling her.
"Officer Jenkins," she greeted the policeman and glanced at Kyrell, who was looking at her through the rearview mirror.
"Miss Lawrence, I hope I’m not disturbing you," the policeman said, greeting her.
"No, Officer. Is something the matter?"
"Miss Lawrence, I was asked to look into Andy and Jordan Cahill. I found a few interesting things."
"Do tell, Officer."
"Umm... Miss Lawrence, it’s not convenient on the phone. Is it possible for us to meet?"
"Sure. Where do you want to meet?"
"How about your office, Miss Lawrence? I have a few people I need to interrogate."
Sienna’s brows shot up in wonder.
Interrogate my employees? Who might they be?
"Sure, Officer Jenkins. What time?"
"How about 2 p.m.?"
"2 p.m. works. See you later, Officer."
"See you, Miss Lawrence."
The call ended, and Sienna looked out the window, lost in thought. Neither Kyrell nor Amy disturbed her, getting the gist of their conversation from Sienna’s one-sided conversation alone.
"We have a tail, Miss Lawrence," Kyrell cautioned her, and Sienna broke out of her thoughts immediately.
"Again?" Sienna wasn’t surprised. But she was still in disbelief to see how relentless they were.
"Don’t worry, Miss Lawrence. The others will take care of him."
Sienna nodded and sighed deeply.
"I wonder when this will all end," she mumbled, feeling exhausted.
"Soon, Miss Lawrence. Don’t lose hope. Everything will end soon," Amy assured her, even if she was unassured herself.
Sienna smiled bleakly and shook her head to clear her mind of the negative thoughts. "Thanks. I hope so as well. Can they capture him?"
"Do you want to interrogate him?" Kyrell pursed his lips and glanced at Amy, who immediately sent the command to the others.
"Yes. I think it’s time I came out and showed them our might."
Kyrell’s lips curled when he heard her include his friends and him. It made him feel more accepted and appreciated.
"Consider it done, Miss Lawrence," Amy said, once the others had received her message.
"Where, Sienna?"
"Bring him to the company basement. No one is allowed there. I’ll grant you all the access."
Kyrell tapped his fingers for a few minutes when he recalled the only place he couldn’t enter. He had noticed a strange door in the personal parking space that was always closed. He didn’t know where the door led to and had not asked Sienna about it.
Now, he got his answers.
Kyrell directly drove into the private parking lot. Other than the Lawrence family members and their guards, no one was allowed in.
"I have a meeting in twenty. They might have to keep them captive for some time," Sienna informed, glancing at her watch.
Brendon was joining the company today. She had a meeting with the department heads, followed by another with the shareholders. She didn’t know how long it would take.
"Not a problem, Miss Lawrence. Our friends would be happy to entertain our captives. They’ve been missing some fun lately," Amy said cheekily, and Sienna smiled helplessly.
While Isaac, Xavier, and Kyle stuck to protecting Sienna in secret, Gary, Nick, Justin, and Kelsey switched their mission and trailed the two people who had been following Sienna.
The followers had no idea they had been caught long ago and were now being followed. It wasn’t until they stopped a few meters away from the Lawrence Group that they noticed something amiss.
But before they could escape, Gary threw two knives, aiming at the back tires, and the car lost control immediately. Since they were driving slowly, the car didn’t flip over. It just rolled and hit the curb before coming to a complete standstill.
The two men were a scared wreck, and they tried to escape. They even pushed the onlookers on the way, hurling them aside.
But before they could get far away, a sudden force took one of the men down. He went tumbling down instantly. His face smacked the concrete floor, and he ended up with a broken nose.
He didn’t even have the chance to get up, for he was completely subdued. He was held in a chokehold, making it impossible to save himself.
"I’ve got him," Kelsey informed the others, not caring about the astonished onlookers. Her eyes were glacial as she glared at the man who was trying to break free from her hold.
Justin was hot on the other man’s trail. But the man was like a loach. He kept slipping away, making it difficult for them to catch him.
On seeing that they were close to losing him, Gary twirled the knife in his palm and looked around. "Everybody back off," he shouted, and the onlookers moved away, making a wide path. They stuck to the inner side of the footpath, not daring to move even an inch as they watched the live-action scene.
