After Having a Dream, I Became Pregnant with a Billionaire's Child-Chapter 39 - The Unknown Side of Carlos
39: Chapter 39: The Unknown Side of Carlos
39 -39: The Unknown Side of Carlos
Emily Parker glanced at the motorcycle as she passed by.
It was a well-known foreign motorcycle that had been modified, with an increased acceleration and improved fuel combustion efficiency.
The body was lighter after the modifications, but its safety performance was compromised.
In thirty seconds, it could accelerate to over 150 kilometers per hour, but because of its poor stability, a sharp turn would definitely lead to a crash, even destruction and death.
In short, it was a killing machine on two wheels.
Faye Manor was immediately dumbfounded upon hearing this.
“Faye Manor, did you hear me clearly?
Better kneel down and call me Brother Bennet obediently.”
Graham Bennet was smug.
“Graham Bennet, if you really want to race, I’m in.”
Carlos stepped forward.
Emily Parker was shocked.
Was Carlos seeking death?
He might not care for his life, but she didn’t want their child to be fatherless even before being born.
Emily Parker was thinking about how to stop Carlos from driving; should she break one of his legs or snap one of his arms?
Carlos had already taken off his suit jacket, revealing a white shirt underneath that outlined his well-built, inverted-triangle physique, making him look tall and leggy.
The woman by Graham Bennet’s side was staring with her eyes wide open.
Graham Bennet also refused to be outdone.
As he moved next to Carlos, he went to push another motorcycle to the side.
Carlos’s gaze suddenly changed, and with a hook punch, he knocked Graham Bennet to the ground.
Before Graham Bennet’s lackeys could pounce forward, Carlos lifted Graham Bennet up and dragged him to the guardrail at the side.
Mountain View Road was built alongside a mountain, and beyond the guardrail was a cliff several dozens of meters high.
A fall from there would mean certain death.
Carlos dragged Graham Bennet to the roadside, opened his leg, and positioned it over the guardrail, leaving half of Graham Bennet’s body dangling in the air.
Graham Bennet’s face turned red as he cursed loudly,
“Carlos, you madman!”
“Spill it, how did you tamper with Faye Manor’s motorcycle?”
Carlos’s face was covered with a layer of frost.
Graham Bennet was immediately stunned.
How did Carlos know that he had tampered with Faye Manor’s motorcycle?
Wasn’t this guy just a rich playboy?
Aside from spending money and picking up girls, what did he know?
Emily Parker was also surprised; she hadn’t expected Carlos to notice the problems with the motorcycle.
He seemed, perhaps, not as spoiled as the rumors made him out to be.
“Don’t sling mud at me; I didn’t do anything.”
Graham Bennet was still unwilling to admit it.
Carlos sneered, and then grabbed Graham Bennet by the throat.
Like a chicken about to be slaughtered, Graham Bennet was lifted off the ground by Carlos’s hand.
His body was suspended in the air, feet dangling over the cliff.
The cold night wind blew from below, and Graham Bennet felt death was only half a step away.
All those rich second-generation kids were dumbfounded.
In their minds, there was only one thought: Carlos was a madman.
Graham Bennet was so frightened that he didn’t dare to make a sound anymore.
His crotch was wet, terrified into peeing himself.
“I’ll ask you one more time, did you tamper with the motorcycle?”
“I did, I did, Master Carter, I was wrong, I bribed Faye Manor’s Tuner and left out a part in his motorcycle…”
After Graham Bennet confessed, Carlos casually tossed him aside.
“The words you just said, I’ve already recorded them on my phone, if you pull any tricks in the future, just wait to rot in jail.”
Carlos warned with a stern face.
The other rich second-generations were already scared out of their wits.
They helped Graham Bennet to his feet, some without daring to make a sound, and quickly drove down the mountain.
On the mountain road, before long, only Emily Parker, Carlos, and Faye Manor remained.
“Master Carter, you are indeed my master.
You’re simply my god.”
Faye Manor was completely in awe of Carlos.
“If there’s nothing else, I’m going to head off now.”
Emily Parker had not expected to witness this other, unknown side of Carlos; she gave a light cough.
“Ghost Doctor, you’ve really saved me a bother this time.”
It was only then that Faye Manor remembered that the Ghost Doctor was present.
Emily Parker waved her hand, indicating that taking people’s money to treat their ailments was a principle for her as the Ghost Doctor.
She had just straddled her little shared bicycle, ready to ride down the mountain, when suddenly, a large hand reached out and grabbed the back seat of the bike.
“?”
Emily Parker was utterly puzzled and turned her head, only to see Carlos holding onto the back seat of her bike, refusing to let go.
“Master Carter, I’ve already treated your friend.”
Emily Parker was baffled.
“Take me down the mountain.”
Carlos pointed at the shared bicycle.
Only then did Emily Parker notice that on the mountain path, aside from that lethal motorcycle, there were no other vehicles to be seen.
Faye Manor had come up on a motorcycle, and after Carlos had handed over his vehicle to Emily Parker, he had arrived by taxi.
This area was very remote, and at this time interval, it was impossible for taxis to be willing to come here.
The only available means of transportation was Emily Parker’s shared bicycle.
Ride down together with Carlos?
Emily Parker felt uneasy and quickly refused.
“This won’t be convenient.”
“If you don’t take me, I’ll accuse you of practicing medicine illegally.
I recorded a video of you setting Faye Manor’s bones just now.”
Carlos dropped the cold comment, causing the corners of Emily Parker’s mouth to twitch.
You’re cunning!
Ten minutes later, Carlos was riding the bike with Emily Parker sitting behind him on the back seat.
“Come back!
You just leave me here with an injury?”
Faye Manor watched as the bicycle sped away, jumping up and down in anger.
Left with no other choice, Faye Manor furiously took out his phone to call for a tow truck…
On the winding mountain road, Carlos suddenly turned a corner, and Emily Parker instinctively hugged his waist.
Carlos’s back stiffened slightly, clearly not used to such close contact with anyone.
Although it seemed that Carlos had many girlfriends, those women were just companions for convenience, facilitating his attendance at various occasions.
Besides Emily Parker, he had never been intimate with any woman.
He had thought that he would dislike it, but when the “Ghost Doctor” behind him hugged him, he surprisingly didn’t find it unpleasant?
Behind him, Emily Parker was embracing Carlos’s waist, her ears turning slightly red.
This was the first time she had ever hugged a man so intimately.
She had liked Adam Willow for many years, but they had always maintained a platonic relationship, and the most they had done was hold hands.
But, the man in front of her was her husband, even if it was just a marriage of convenience, indeed he was her first man.
A sensation she had never felt before began to slowly emerge and take root at the bottom of her heart…
The man’s waist was strong and resilient, clearly the result of regular exercise.
Carlos slowed down the speed of the bike, and both of them remained silent.
The mountain road was quiet, and Emily Parker looked up to see a sky full of stars, with the incessant chirping of unknown insects in her ears.
Unconsciously, drowsiness crept in.
Emily Parker’s head started to nod.
All of a sudden, Carlos felt a weight on his back, and Emily Parker’s head was resting on his waist; she had fallen asleep.
