An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me-Chapter 43: Darkness
Chapter 43: Darkness
After Noel finished gathering the crystals, he turned to Riven. "If this is the strength of the first floor monsters, we should head deeper," he said.
"Don’t go getting cocky over a small kill. This is your first time, so you have to check out the first floor as much as possible," Riven said.
"Stop acting like you know any better. You were here yesterday alone; it’s not like you know much about dungeons," Noel said.
"At least I know more than you," Riven shot back. He pushed himself off the wall and started walking. They hadn’t gone far when they found a group of goblins waiting for them.
There were ten of them gathered together, the most that Riven had seen on the first floor. He felt that their number was a bit strange, but he didn’t bother much about it. He pulled his sword and charged in, not waiting for his brother.
Noel saw his brother charge in, so he attacked as well, not wanting to be outdone by his little brother. The first goblin jumped at Riven, baring its teeth at him. Riven sidestepped and slashed, cutting the goblin in half.
He stopped immediately and retook his stance, waiting for the second goblin to attack. Two goblins attempted to flank him, but he retreated immediately, parried both their attacks at the same time, and countered, killing both of them instantly.
BOOM
The sound of an explosion immediately pulled Riven’s attention. He turned to see Noel standing over the corpses of five goblins, his sword crackling with lightning.
"You have to be kidding me. You used magic to attack floor one goblins?" Riven asked.
"So? It’s just choice," he said, his eyes locked on the last two. But Riven wasn’t going to allow him to get those two. He pointed his hand at the two and used Flame Blast. The fire shot through the air, hit one, and the explosion took out the second one.
Noel was shocked by the sudden magic that Riven used. The firepower of the attack stunned him. He knew that his brother was now capable of some magical spells and more, but he didn’t think it was this high level.
"You aren’t the only one with magic here," Riven said and picked up his crystals. He took five and left the five that his brother killed.
As he picked them up, a sudden feeling of unease crept up on him. He looked at his brother, and Noel was busy taking his crystals, so what could be the reason for the unease?
Suddenly, he felt a bone-chilling bloodlust. He turned around only to see a goblin jump out of nowhere, coming for his head. But the goblin was not normal, because as he saw the goblin, he saw black smoke coming out of its mouth as it attacked.
In a panic, he used Flame Blast. The spell slammed into the goblin, and the explosion followed, the heat reaching Riven.

His skill finally upgraded after that, but that was not what was on his mind—it was the weird smoke that came from the mouth of the goblin.
He looked down and saw the crystal of the goblin, but unlike the other one, it was blood red, pulsing strangely with energy. He picked it up and observed it.
"Are you gonna keep standing there?" Noel asked. Riven immediately put the crystal into his bag and turned.
"Shut up. If you want to, you can go ahead. I don’t care if you die," Riven shot back.
The both of them continued deeper into the first floor, killing tons of goblins and blood bats. Noel killed twenty goblins and ten blood bats. He kept killing very quickly like he was in a competition. frёewebηovel.cѳm
Riven, on the other hand, killed fifteen goblins and only five blood bats. All the while, he was still thinking about the goblin that had attacked him—it still felt strange to him.
Unlike the first time they came here, he managed to get to the stairs of the second floor without meeting the floor boss, but Riven refused to go down.
"You aren’t going down until you kill a floor boss. We are going back," he said and turned.
"Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?" Noel asked.
"It’s simple. Father wants you to have an understanding of the dungeon because of the trial, so we have to make sure we gather as much experience as possible.
It’s not like you’ll gain anything special by heading to the second floor, so let’s just spend some time and search for a floor boss," Riven said, already entering a pathway.
Noel gritted his teeth and followed his brother. He didn’t like it, but what Riven said made a lot of sense, and he couldn’t argue it, so he followed.
They walked through the cave for a while until they came to a place that had no torches, meaning that people had yet to come through here, and that was surprising to Riven.
"They said that three floors were already explored. There shouldn’t be an unexplored area like this," Riven said.
"It’s possible they missed it," Noel said.
"Hmm, I doubt it, but regardless, let’s check it out," Riven said and pulled out his torch. He lit it with his flame and handed it to his brother, then used the flame on his palm to see.
They walked into the thick darkness of the dungeon, not knowing what was there or what to expect. Immediately they walked into the darkness, the man that Riven had in quotes ignored walked toward the darkness as well.
A dark smile formed on his face. He pulled out his short sword and walked into the darkness, his footsteps echoing. He held no light, nor did he know where he was going, but all he knew was that he was going after Riven, and unlike yesterday, he was going to get his hands on him and make sure he makes him pay.
