An Extra's POV-Chapter 976: Ultimate Singularity
"Hmm…"
Rey stood in the sky, feeling the breeze and wonders of the world as he fell into deep thought.
He could see everything—feel everything.
"Is this what it feels like?" He smiled, monitoring his Status Window. "To be Divine."

[End Of Information]
He was bursting with power, and even his [Doppel] was already ninety percent filled up at this point. He had all kinds of Skills within, including three Primeval Skills.
It was undoubtedly the case that he was currently the most powerful entity in H'Trae.
The training he had with Ater, The Oracle, and The Fairy King seemed to have gone on for eons.
He had to constantly Level Up while understanding the depths of their power. Due to how much the Fairy King had to accelerate time, he had gotten incredibly exhausted… which was why he had to rest at the moment.
After finally reaching the cap in his Level at S Class, he had to reach SS Class to attain a new level of power. To do this, he fulfilled tons of conditions, including winning a fight against The Oracle and the Fairy King separately.
Afterward, he had to fight against Ater and push him to the point of death so that his true self would emerge and bestow [Alter] to him. This true self only possessed a mere fragment of Ater's true consciousness and memories, so Rey was unable to obtain all the answers he desired from him.
Still, with this process, he had gotten much stronger.
And now…
"Let's take out the trash first."
… He could now properly call himself this world's champion.
Stretching out his hands casually, his gaze calm and his aim perfect, he spoke softly.
"[Ultimate Ray]."
~BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!~
The pulse of multi-colored light that simply coalesced and gave off the illusion of pure white was sent in the direction of the Pseudo-Dragons, completely destroying their existence the moment the energy made contact with them.
In seconds, they were completely eliminated.
Afterwards, he snapped his fingers and activated another Skill in his arsenal.
"[Perfect Singularity]."
Instantly, all the devastated layers of defense was rebuilt—or rather, restored—to the way they were prior to the invasion. However, considering how insufficient the layers were, he proceeded to improve them with his next Skill.
"[Mass Effect]."
Instantly enacting his will on the island-wide layers of defense, he imbued them with his own energy and altered their functions so they would properly adhere to his specifications.
"The next time the enemy tries to break into this, they'll meet a wall of existence erasure.'
Rey wondered how they'd get through.
'Knowing Adrien, though… he already has something planned.' A wry smile formed on his face as he cast his perfect gaze ahead, allowing himself to see so many futures and details that he was previously incapable of.
However, once his sight reached the Northern Continent, it went dark.
'He's interfering with the System… with the Skills I have… and also with the overall powers in H'Trae.' Rey reasoned. 'It's why the previous barriers didn't work on the enemy until I improved them.'
Despite the fact that Rey had already reached the pinnacle of existence in H'Trae, it still wasn't sufficient. This could only mean one thing.
"He's using powers beyond H'Trae.'
That was dangerous, no matter how Rey looked at it. The longer they spent on the defensive, the more initiative Adrien would have in enacting his grand scheme.
'He must be stopped before then.'
At this point, there was no reason to delay the grand war any longer. Rey already knew the army that Adrien sent was nowhere close to his overall force. It was simply a probe to test the powers that existed in the Eastern Continent.
'And now that I've announced my presence to the world, he must already know I'm back.'

That meant there was no going back.
'With all the pieces gathered, the time has come for our final confrontation.'
*********
[Meanwhile…]
"Huuu…"
Adrien stood still, both hands placed behind him as he stared at a massive mechanical structure that was covered in a large Magic Circle. The machine hummed, creating distortions all around, but it hardly bothered him at all.
Unlike before, his form had completely changed from how it used to be.
His pitch black hair was longer, and the whites in his eyes had grown black. His irises had an ominous purple glow in them, and his pale skin was crawling with dark energy, while also being covered by a slime-like substance.
This slime communicated telepathically to him now, and it was laughing.
"I feel it! I feel my beloved Master's return!"
This was Emil, and the moment she felt Rey's energy shoot out from the Eastern Continent, she couldn't stop rejoicing. Adrien was tempted to shut her up, but instead he let her ramblings fuel his determination even further.
"He came earlier than expected, which means I have to make some alterations in the plan again."
He had already noticed something was off when the Eastern Continent was recaptured about a month ago, which was why he sent all the failed experiments to attack the place as some kind of probe.
'The fact that they've all died shows how powerful the enemy has become.'
They had gotten more powerful than he accounted for.
'I've run out of time.' Adrien frowned slightly. 'Which means I will have to stall, even if it means using the last of my forces to buy me sufficient time to complete this project.'
His eyes shone the moment he looked at the machine.
This was it!
His goal was nearing fruition, and it made his heart race in excitement despite his calm demeanor.
Emil noticed all of this, since she was bound to him, and she laughed once again.
"My true Master is coming for me! Master is going to defeat you and cause your downfall!"
Adrien chuckled upon hearing this.
"If I fall, you do too…" Upon uttering those words, the slime fell into silence. "Besides, I don't think I'll lose to Rey."
Their history had proven time and time again that he was always one step ahead.
'I've always won and will always win.'
He wasn't compromising this status quo for anything less.
"Besides… I still have my trump card to use against him." Adrien smiled, leaving the machine as he slowly walked to another room where a complicated mechanism stood.
There were several pods connected to a much larger mechanism, and within all of those pods were entities whose identities were difficult to decipher.
However, at the center was a familiar face.
Adrien kept both of his hands in his pocket this time as he looked at the largest pod containing a woman who was wrapped with the most intense of energies.
It was Lucielle, currently unconscious as she was trapped in the pod, with a massive Magic Circle enveloping the ground beneath all of them.
A wide grin formed on Adrien's face.
"Let them all come… I'll be expecting you, Rey."
