Ancestral Wealth Inheritance System-Chapter 462 - : The Poor Play with Planets, the Rich Play with Spaceships
Chapter 462 -462: The Poor Play with Planets, the Rich Play with Spaceships
“Of course, it’s the best,” Fang Jueyu commented. He barely understood Earth’s sports cars, let alone these dazzling spaceships. The configurations, materials, and engines were all beyond his comprehension.
“Dear customer, what purpose do you intend to use the spaceship for?” Alfara asked. “Here, our spaceships are categorized by usage: for war, sightseeing, long-distance travel, etc.”
“Oh, I need to travel several billion light-years away to attend a fair, but I have stringent time requirements. I hope the round trip won’t exceed one year on this planet!” Fang Jueyu stated his requirements.
“So, it’s for long-distance travel!” Alfara displayed a charming smile that caught Fang Jueyu’s eye. “Dear customer, I think these spaceships might suit your needs!”
Alfara walked to a machine and entered a string of data. Moments later, an abundance of information streamed through the empty square, gradually converging into a massive spaceship outline.
“Gee, this totally feels like Magic!” Fang Jueyu marveled. “I finally understand why people say science eventually leads to theology!”
“Hahaha, host, the civilization where Airbird Company is located is a level-four advanced civilization. Their technology is naturally very high; this is just a minor trick.”
“Sir, this is our company’s highly rated ‘Falling Meteor’ Type-IV spaceship. It comes equipped with an SV-1080 Super-light Speed Engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 500 times the speed of light. Wormhole construction within a billion light-years requires only 58 seconds, a one-way trip takes five months, and the micro photovoltaic alloy easily resists unstable space tears within wormholes, priced at 1.8 trillion cosmic credits.”
“So, this is a level-four civilization’s spaceship,” Fang Jueyu mused, observing the sleek black spaceship about 50 meters long and triangular in shape. Based on Alfara’s introduction, it seemed pretty good, but as a sucker for aesthetics, Fang Jueyu found its appearance unappealing.
Seeing Fang Jueyu’s expression, Alfara knew he wasn’t interested in this model. However, she didn’t feel disappointed, realizing that buying a spaceship wasn’t a decision made swiftly, otherwise, guides like her wouldn’t be necessary.
“It seems Mr. Fang is not quite satisfied with this one. How about this one?” Alfara inputted another set of data, producing a silvery-white spaceship slightly smaller than the previous one, shaped like a disc.
“Too ugly, next!” Fang Jueyu shook his head.
“Sir, how about this one?”
“The rear is too bulky, making it look top-heavy.”
“And this one?”
“Why does this thing look like a gourd? Next one!”
“What’s a gourd?” Alfara didn’t comprehend Fang Jueyu’s words.
After going through more than a dozen spaceship introductions, none satisfied Fang Jueyu. However, Alfara noticed that Fang Jueyu seemed wholly uninformed about spaceships, choosing purely based on appearance.
“Perhaps he’ll like this one,” Alfara suddenly thought of a spaceship model, made for Airbird Company’s 76 million-year anniversary limited edition this year.
As it was mainly for the anniversary ceremony, only the appearance design was taken into consideration, with no further consideration for configuration cost-effectiveness. However, its appearance might meet Fang Jueyu’s requirements.
After wasting 20 minutes, Fang Jueyu was getting slightly anxious, but this time, the spaceship Alfara selected immediately caught his eye!
It was a completely jet-black spaceship, about 64 meters long and 33 meters wide, resembling a streamlined sports car. The cool boosters at the back made Fang Jueyu instantly smitten.
“Stop! Tell me about this spaceship!”
“I knew it!” Alfara grinned slightly, realizing she had guessed correctly.
“Sir, this is our company’s 76 million-year anniversary limited edition spacecraft. There are only 120 in total, and this is the last one. The price is a bit…”
“No worries, money’s no issue!” Fang Jueyu said brusquely. Whatever the cost, it couldn’t even scratch his Cosmic Bank account.
“Sir, this spaceship is called the Silver Winged Demon, modeled after a virtual item in the hottest game’s new release by the Cosmic Games Company.”
“Its basic version only includes a cockpit and living cabin, equipped with a KP-907 Super-light Speed Engine that boasts a maximum speed of 1200 times the speed of light, building a wormhole within a billion light-years in 28 seconds, with a one-way flight in three months, priced at 125 trillion cosmic credits!”
“Wow, the name sounds a bit eccentric, but I like it!” Fang Jueyu found this spaceship thoroughly satisfying; it was the best in power and speed among all the models he had seen, not to mention the impressive aesthetics!
Though the 125 trillion price tag was steep, to Fang Jueyu, the difference between one trillion and 125 trillion was just numbers.
“I’ll take this one!” Once Fang Jueyu liked something, there was hardly any hesitation.
“He actually wants it!” Alfara originally had a tentative attitude. If she could sell this spaceship, she’d earn over a million cosmic credits in commission! Could it be she met a benefactor today?
But this was just the basic configuration. No one buys a spaceship just as a bare shell; they’d choose some premium features, resulting in another considerable commission.
“Sir, I must inform you that the Silver Winged Demon’s basic version only includes a living cabin and cockpit. If you want, you can add Sports Cabin, Entertainment Cabin, and other premium facilities, with upgrades available for comfort. If you need weapons, we can equip those separately.”
“Hmm, give me the highest standard for internal facilities,” Fang Jueyu thought; traveling back-and-forth would take more than three months at least. Staying in a solitary spaceship didn’t sound fun.
He wasn’t going for imprisonment but for a fair, so the three months should be filled with good food, drinks, and enjoyment.
“Sir, since the Silver Winged Demon is a limited edition, all configurations require special manufacturing. The highest configuration would require an additional 27.4 trillion cosmic credits.”
“No problem, add it all!” Since spending 125 trillion cosmic credits, why care about a little extra?
“Sir, as for weapon equipment…”
“I’m not well-versed in this; can you recommend something? I only want the best, and costs don’t concern me!”
Eirafa’s delicate face brightened with a smile, “Sir, when we designed this spacecraft, we already prepared several packages for you. Since the weapon system takes up some space and weight, the power would decrease by about 10%.”
“10%? That’s negligible,” Fang Jueyu didn’t have stringent requirements. As long as he could complete the round trip within a year, a 10% speed reduction wouldn’t disrupt his plans much.
“Sir, based on your selected configurations, the total price is 167 trillion cosmic credits!”
“Gee, the price of this thing isn’t cheap; it could buy several civilized planets,” Little Yi commented. “On Earth, there’s a saying: the poor play with cars, the rich play with watches, but in the vast universe, there’s another saying.”
“What’s that?”
“The poor play with planets, the rich play with spaceships!”
