Chapter 100: Savrit Spider

"Get up, you insult your race, monster."

Atlas’ words echoed throughout the arena. Every student in the remaining 11 arenas except his arena had already finished their exams. The best one made it to the third round, just like Atlas, but he died halfway through the round and was thrown out of the arena.

With this, the arena had turned into a huge area covering all sides of the coliseum, and a view that no longer even needed the monitoring panels was visible to everyone.

The words of Atlas, the tone of his voice and the contemptuous look in his eyes sent shivers through Cordelia’s body. Every hair on the ancient woman’s body trembled.

The warrior lizard man, writhing in pain on the ground, barely managed to reach for the sword in front of him when he heard those words, and then stood up.

It was possible to see that this monster, which was formed as an image of magic, trembled before Atlas.

The warrior lizard man suddenly lunged forward. With only a small move, Atlas deflected the sword swung at him and then disembowelled the lizard man.

At that moment the third round ended and the fourth round began.

Eight monsters had formed around Atlas.

Seven of these monsters were lizardmen, each of them a mage, but the eighth monster was a huge Savrit Spider as if to show how seriously Constantine’s magic had taken Atlas.

They went by many names.

It was a type of monster found in the Khaton Empire of the Khadour Continent, the hottest continent on Earth. It was one of the rulers of the deserts. It was a mutant species of spider that grew in the centre of the Khaton Desert, in the hottest part of the desert, where there was not even moisture in the air, in the MOST corridor of the world.

A mature Savrit spider could grow up to a hundred metres in length, and some are strong enough to withstand aura masters of Eva’s strength.

Atlas was lucky.

Constantine’s spell had put him up against a baby Savrit spider, otherwise, his test would have been over already, and it would have been impossible for him to withstand the mature size of such a monster.

It had the power to defeat this beast, a baby Savrit Spider’s only strength would be its body, some kingdoms and empires even attempted to tame and use these monsters as ’tanks’ in case of war.

So getting through the spider’s shell would be difficult.

Atlas shook his head in bewilderment and then, without waiting, moved as far away from the Savrit Spider as possible.

He did this because he wanted to avoid any poison attack.

Even if the fourth magic ring was at a high level of poison, it was not immune to poisons, perhaps it would be poisoned more slowly, but it would still be poisoned, and eventually, unless it was an antidote, it would die.

That’s why the first wizard he saw rushed towards the lizardman and without thinking, he put his holy sword into his inventory and pulled out two weapons that could be called a short sword, exactly thirty centimetres long, to help him move and attack faster, but which he used as knives.

However, in a single move, with the knife in his right hand, the sorcerer lizard sliced the staff in his hand in half, and then with the knife in his left hand, the sorcerer lizard slit the man’s throat.

Immediately after this, he saw the other wizard lizard men around him and without waiting, he transferred his aura to the blades in his hand.

The quality of the blades was so poor compared to the power of Atlas’ aura that when Atlas transferred his aura to the blades, the blades began to tremble.

Immediately after this, Atlas released the aura he had gathered in his blade outwards, and the aura attack that went in two separate directions turned into a crescent moon cut the bodies of the remaining six wizard lizards and disappeared.

The bodies of the wizard lizard men fell to the ground in pieces at that moment, and with that, the knives in Atlas’ hand cracked and then turned into dust.

Unfortunately, ordinary iron weapons were not strong enough to carry a level-three aura to the outside.

However, Atlas turned around, just in case, and realised that the Savrit spider was already running towards him.

At that moment, Atlas, who activated his Night’s Step ability without waiting, started to seriously run away from the spider.

Even though the mature Savrit spiders had almost unlimited energy, the one chasing Atlas right now was a baby. A huge baby, ten metres in size and perhaps fifteen metres wide.

So in this case, Atlas’ energy was much greater than the monster’s.

He realised that even if he could land moves on the beast right now, he couldn’t go straight through it. That’s why he started to do what he thought would be best.

He had to get the spider to focus elsewhere instead of following him.

"Amon! Surtur!" Atlas shouted as he was busy running away.

At the mention of those two names, his shadow suddenly grew and two Shadow Cats instantly jumped out of his shadow, the cats transformed into Atlas’ form and started running. With this, the Savrit spider was distracted and confused.

Outside the arena, all hell was breaking loose. One after another, the sounds of cheering echoed throughout the coliseum.

Atlas had not only killed the lizardmen one after the other, but he had also sent them out of his shadow by giving direct orders to two Shadow Cats, only one of which was hard to find.

Even the High Elven Queen Thalia stood up excitedly and put her hands on the dais, marvelling at Atlas in the arena.

Even this woman, perhaps one of the finest tamers in the entire world, could not help but marvel.

Atlas’ value began to increase many times over in the eyes of each of them.
