Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive-Chapter 193: Driven by Personal Interests
Chapter 193: Chapter 193: Driven by Personal Interests
After hammering the glass seven times, a crack finally appeared and Chichi followed immediately with another smash. A significant hole was smashed open on the glass.
Seeing the things inside move with the current towards the hole, Chichi let go of the hammer and placed the rice bag on the opening.
A couple of minutes later, the bag was full of noodles, instant rice, and self-heating meals. The water bottles were still on the shelf and some of the other supplies.
Seeing this, she realized that she could take the things she already collected out then come back for more. She didn’t linger and swam with her sack towards the door then followed the stairs and went up to the third floor.
Chu Hao saw someone appear and realized it was Chichi. He rushed forward and helped her pull the sack she was dragging behind her.
Chichi was grateful for the help. She had almost given up halfway, but thinking of how she could go hungry without these supplies, she gritted her teeth and persevered.
"Take a short rest first. If you still plan to go back down, it’s better to do it when you have recovered your strength." Chu Hao said as he moved to hold her and helped her to the side.
He brought out a chair and had her sit down. It was incredible seeing him so attentive.
Chichi was too tired to care about anything that was happening. She collapsed on the chair and took off the goggles and oxygen tank.
Breathing in fresh air, she felt as if she had been reborn. Chu Hao gave her a bottle of water and helped her empty the sack. There were quite a few things inside.
"It looks like you got quite the harvest." He commented as he also took a chair and sat opposite Chichi.
"I happened upon a grocery store with some supplies. I want to go back, there are still a bit of supplies left." Chichi said after resting for a while.
"That’s good. The more you find, the more supplies you will have at home. You have to know that the supplies you guys salvage on your own will belong entirely to you. So, work harder." Chu Hao said with a sheepish smile as he looked at Chichi.
"What? Are you serious?" Chichi was surprised. She had not expected that she could keep all the supplies she had just salvaged with so much difficulty.
"Of course I am serious. Everything you find alone is yours and the things we find together like the supplies we got in the coffee shop will be equally shared.
If you want more supplies, work harder and salvage more." Chu Hao continued when he saw how shocked she was with her big eyes almost popping out and small mouth drawing an ’O’ shape.
She looked too adorable.
"Okay, I got it. I have to go now before those things on the shelf escape with the water." Chichi became even more enthusiastic after finding out that she could keep most of the supplies for herself.
She had not expected such a good thing to happen. She stood up and put on her gear again before going back underwater.
Indeed, no matter the circumstances, human beings would always be driven by profit. As long as their interests were involved, they would put in more effort in everything they do.
Chichi went back to collect more supplies while Yang Leo and Zhao Lu had also found their targets and were also moving the supplies they found.
Waiting on the third floor corridor, Chu Hao felt movement in the water and went to check. He saw another head appearing and like before, went to help pull the person and whatever they were carrying. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
This time, it was Zhao Lu who had ended up in a baby shop. There was a variety of goods in the shop that could be used by both mothers and children.
It must be said that the Zhao family must have a lucky star guiding them. He just swam into a shop and found supplies that could be helpful to his wife and son.
There were a lot of clothes in the shop, but those were useless for now. Except for some warm woolen clothes and blankets, he didn’t find any other clothes useful.
There were also unopened metal tins of baby formula, which is an advantage because with the seal still in place, it couldn’t get soaked.
There were also other types of baby food such as cerelac, cereals, and instant porridge. He couldn’t believe his luck when he saw these things.
With the formula, cerelac, and porridge, their son will be healthy as long as they have warm water to mix them.
He was currently pulling a large trolley up the stairs filled with the clothes he chose and the other supplies.
When he felt his arm lose the weight he was pulling, he hurriedly came out of the water. He was relieved to find that it was Chu Hao helping him out.
Chu Hao had him sit down to breathe for a while and told him the same thing he had told Chichi. Just like Chichi before him, Zhao Lu was surprised that he could keep all the things he just found and didn’t need to share. He was indeed happy about such an arrangement.
That means that his son would have a more abundant supply of food and milk for a long time.
"Will that be okay? After all, without you all, we wouldn’t even be able to come here and find so many supplies." Zhao Lu still felt that it wasn’t right to take everything he had salvaged.
After all, he still understood that without the Chu family and Ye Xuan, he wouldn’t have been able to provide so many things for his family.
Chu Hao was impressed by his straightforwardness and honesty.
"It’s alright, we don’t lack these few supplies. It’s your effort, so having your family benefit from it is the right thing to do" Chu Hao comforted him and appreciated his sentiment.
"Okay then. I’ll go down again." Zhao Lu said as he got up to go into the water.
