Beastmen Love-Chapter 100: Time To Go Back Home
Chapter 100: Time To Go Back Home
All, that is, except for Claud, whose eyes sparkled with a mischievous light that seemed out of place in the gloomy breakfast.
Astri’s voice, clear and melodious, cut through the quiet. "What is with those long faces?" she inquired, her head tilting in curiosity.
"They’re just envious." Claud answers.
"Why?" Astri pressed, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.
"The dress," Lee chimed in, his voice a low rumble. "He could remove it from you."
Astri’s chuckle resonated in the hall, light and carefree. "Oh, is that the reason?" She leaned back in her chair, her eyes twinkling. "You all can remove it."
The sound of water being sputtered and coughed up filled the room as her spouses choked on their drinks, their eyes wide as they stared at her in disbelief.
"We?" they echoed in unison, their voices a mix of astonishment and intrigue.
"If you liked it so much, I can wear it just for you to remove it," Astri offered generously, her laughter ringing out as she watched their flustered expressions.
"Silly husbands," she teased, her affection for them evident in her gaze.
"Husbands?" Beau, the newest and most innocent of the group, asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.
"Same as male spouses. It’s a term used by people from the other world Astri came from." Zin answers.
"Other world?"
"I didn’t have quite the time to explain everything to Beau. Can you explain, Claud?" Astri says.
Claud tells Beau what happened when Astri’s father sent her to another world by mistake to protect her from the Monster King, also known as Demon King. Then Claud discovered she was alive and found her, then he brought her back to Beastmen World.
"So you were raised in a completely different world.. Was it too different?" Beau asks her.
"Very. It has good sides and bad sides. I miss the book shops."
"Book shops? Can we build it for you?" Wayde asks.
"No. It’s a place to sell books. Who would buy books here instead of me and Claud? I would go into book shops and stay a day there owning my soul for buying too many." She says and giggles.
"It would be nice having book shops, but there are not many people who knows how to read. Even less someone who knows how to write them." Claud says.
"Would you go back if you could?" Beau asks Astri.
"No. I wouldn’t go anywhere without you. And I wouldn’t like you to live there too. You would suffer too much. You’re my family. And my family is my everything. Each one of you means the world to me. No book store would make me want to be apart from you." She says with a smile.
They blush together, Beau is gobsmacked with her direct sweet words. She chuckles watching their reactions.
Astri feels a little call in her mind, she lets Nature take her to where she needs to look. She’s inside the ocean, deep in the ocean because it’s very dark.
She looks up and sees a giant shark, bigger than the ship, swimming slowly. She feels that Biggie is near her and watching him from under.
"Biggie? Is this the Big Shark you said?" She asks Biggie.
"Yes. He’s getting closer to where you are. I can feel he’s alone." Biggie answers.
"Can you defeat him?"
"Yes. If he is alone. But if other Monsters come I can’t."
The huge megalodon turns and starts swimming back to the open sea.
"He’s leaving. He knows he can’t face you alone." Biggie says.
"Take him. I’ll make sure no other Monsters attack you. Let’s take this chance. Focus on destroying his gills. On the sides of his head." Astri says.
"All right!"
Biggie swims quickly from the darkness and gets the monster megalodon by surprise. Like any big shark, it never believes that someone will attack from under.
Biggie wraps his strong tentacles around the megalodon, who tries to get free. Some gray creatures start to come from the darkness too to attack Biggie, but Astri asks Nature’s help to create a water ball around them to protect Biggie.
Biggie inserts his tentacles in the megalodon’s gills and forces its way open, and then uses an enormous strength to rip the sides of its head.
When Biggie feels the body of the megalodon going limp, he let’s it go and then it floats dead.
Astri stops the whirlpool, then Biggie goes back to the deep part of the ocean.
The other creatures now focused on eating the dead megalodon, knowing that they didn’t stand a chance against Biggie.
"Good job, Biggie. I’m so proud of you." Astri says.
"Thank you!" Biggie says like an excited boy, happy that his mother noticed he’s strong.
"Soon we will be leaving. I’ll let you know when. Until then, be careful, sweetheart."
"All right. I will!"
Astri then sighs tired and lays her head on the table. All her spouses ran to her when her eyes started to shine, when they touched her they could watch everything.
"Are you all right, love?" Wayde asks, worried.
"Just a little headache. I’m fine." She answers.
"I’ll make some tea." Zin says walking away.
"Thank you, love."
"That thing was too big. There must be more of that." Lee says.
"It’s just a matter of time until they learn that megalodon died. We need to leave before they send more monsters here. It was scouting and would try to attack us if it found us. Back home, sea beastmen and monster can’t risk going after me there. Here they have some power and, even if they lose, they have a chance of making a mess and winning something. It’s time to leave Aquaterra, unfortunately." Astri explains, massaging her temples.
"Let’s organize our departure then." Claud says and nods to the other spouses that will work together to finish things faster.
Beau helps the others to gather fish and meat to dry. And the others organize everything for departure. It’s a lot of food and needs for many people, so they spend some days organizing everything.
Astri took the next days her spouses are busy to spend time with Deanora. Astri and Deanora walk together with the cubs and Yuki around the garden.
Beau was carrying a box and spotted Astri.
"Someone is watching you." Deanora says to Astri.
Astri looks at Beau and their eyes meet, making him blush. She smiles and he smiles too, but he almost let the box fall when he stumbled on a rock, making Deanora and Astri giggle.
She calls him with her head, and he goes to her blushing for his embarrassing moment. He stands near her, and puts the box down. She calls him with her finger, to make him lean down since he’s very tall.
Before he goes all the way down, she goes up and kisses his lips, taking him by surprise and making him blush even more.
"Humm. I’ll try that too with my spouses. I want to see those reactions." Deanora chuckles.
Beau smiles at Astri and then kisses her too. Yuki takes the chance and hugs Beau’s neck, not letting him go.
Beau carries her, letting her play with his hair.
"Do you remember that I have a wish you have to grant me?" Astri asks Beau.
"It’s true. Did you decide what you want?" Beau asks.
"Yes. Find a place first where I can shift. Talk to Galion, he can enlighten you about what we need."
"All right. Only that?" He asks.
"Only that." She smiles. "Want to come with mommy?" She asks, showing her hands to Yuki.
Yuki looks between Astri and Beau, feeling divided. She loves her mother and wants her, but she also wants Beau. She leans to go with Astri, but she doesn’t let Beau go and that makes them laugh.
"She wants both. How sweet." Deanora says.
"I’ll come back soon. I promise." Beau tells Yuki, holding her little hands.
She opens a wide smile, not quite understanding, but she smiled to his smile.
"Good girl, my princess." Astri kisses Yuki’s face.
Baby females are different and normally they cry and whine all the time since they know their fathers would do anything for them. Yuki is the contrary, she’s sweet and calm, not complaining when she doesn’t have what she wants.
That proves Astri that females’ bad behavior is not something biological, it’s learned. Beau takes the box and goes to the ship. About loving several males Astri can feel it’s normal, but about being nice is totally a cultural thing.
"Galion. Astri asked me to find a place for her to shift. She said you would know what she needs for that. Can you help me?" Beau asks Galion, who was talking to Cyprian and Claud.
"Astri wants to shift? I can’t wait to see her beast form again." Cyprian says excitedly.
"We need somewhere far from people and where we can make a protecting circle so no one gets near and sees her. Even from the ground. I know that there are a lot of tunnels around."
Beau nods. Even if most of the people know Astri is the Goddess of Nature, they don’t want people to see her beast form.
Beau and Galion find a place for Astri to shift and feel comfortable. Galion organizes the guards to circle the area, then Zin brings Astri with the kids.
