Becoming a God Starts with Acting-Chapter 113: [Fish] - Nerio’s Part (25)
Chapter 113: [Fish] - Nerio’s Part (25)
[Who would have thought that Nerio still made it through this stage? What exactly motivated him to follow the humans into the underwater world?!!!]
[That’s right. If he hadn’t followed the humans, the humans would have probably started doubting him and speculating on certain things, but now he appears here as Nerio...]
[I bet Cocona and the others no longer care whether Eryon is really dead or not. He’s been cold for a while now, hahahaha.]
[I can only say he really is a god, always able to foresee everything.]
[Am I the only one who thinks Nerio looks really cool in moments like this?]
No, I must also thank those who keep spamming a lot, Silvanus thought.
The spammers were so persistent that as soon as Cocona’s group entered the third floor, Silvanus already knew what to do next.
All the humans were seated at a dining table, and on the table were exquisite dishes emitting a tempting fragrance. Sitting at the head of the table was none other than Elena, with the William family sitting nearby, now in a completely different form.
They looked grotesque, with large fish heads on top and shriveled bodies. Their fish heads looked absurd and terrifying, with wide, unblinking eyes occupying almost half of the fish head, mouths filled with sharp teeth, drooling and oozing strange red-black mucus that dripped onto the floor, emitting a foul, disgusting stench.
Perhaps this was Elena’s proper form in the real world, while in the underwater world, Elena had become beautiful, and the William family now found themselves in the same state as her in the real world. This place seemed like Elena’s perfect illusion, entirely her domain, controlled by her. Yet she was trapped here, unable to leave entirely.
Elena smiled, her gaze toward Eryon carrying some unspoken meaning. She suddenly spoke, "This young man, would you care to sit with me?"
Eryon frowned upon hearing this, just as he had outside. He wasn’t afraid, even though the one speaking to him could be the essential monster of this dungeon.
"Why would I sit near you?" He said, slightly covering his chest with an exaggerated expression, "You don’t have any ulterior motives, do you?"
"No, I just feel like you’re very familiar. With this appearance, you deserve to be my little brother." Elena smiled gently.
But Eryon wasn’t swayed, not even a little: "But I don’t want to be your little brother."
At this, Elena couldn’t help but frown and murmur, "Indeed, Lucian with this face is much cuter."
Eryon couldn’t understand this monster at all. As he was about to say something more, Elena said again, "My family’s condition is getting worse. It’s all because of the heavy curse the dark wizard placed on my family. I need your help. Please go to the third floor and bring me the fish scales. There are many dangers and restrictions up there, and as a member of the William family, I cannot approach that place. As long as you help me, once everything is done, all of this will belong to you!"
As soon as Elena finished speaking, the butler and servants opened large chests full of gold, silver, and jewels, emitting a dazzling light of wealth. There was more than the reward promised by the William family outside.
Cocona’s group exchanged glances, knowing the opportunity to get the fish scales had come.
John’s eyes lit up when he saw the treasure. He quickly stood up, nodding enthusiastically: "We will complete this task, no matter how arduous it is. We will not disappoint you!"
Elena nodded with satisfaction and said, "I’ve finished eating," before leaving with her family.
"You all heard that. The sooner we complete the task, the sooner we’ll get rewarded. Let’s go to the third floor right now!" John roared, full of enthusiasm.
"It seems he’s forgotten that he’s just a fraud," Ron muttered.
As if he had heard Ron’s words, John coldly said, "It’s just the superstition of these nobles. That’s how we make money. Let’s go."
With that, he led the way forward.
Eryon yawned, looking a bit dissatisfied: "Do we have to follow this fool of a man?"
Benjamin suddenly asked Eryon, "What do you think we should do next?"
Cocona raised an eyebrow at Benjamin, seemingly surprised that he would ask Eryon such a question, but she didn’t say anything.
As expected, Eryon immediately looked displeased at Benjamin: "You’re asking me? You and Cocona are the leaders here. What do you expect from a normal person like me?"
Benjamin kept looking at Eryon, not saying anything.
Facing Benjamin’s gaze, Eryon became even more annoyed and finally said, "Fine, but if anything goes wrong, don’t blame me!"
With that, he quickly took the lead, speaking as he walked, "The third floor definitely has a huge danger. After all, this is still a dungeon."
[If it was before, maybe I would have sighed and said he’s too foolish to be afraid, but now that I know he’s Nerio, everything strangely makes sense, hahaha.]
[What’s surprising is that these humans are actually relying on someone who’s already dead...]
[But Nerio’s words before he died really provided huge information. He said the three rooms they were in might actually be one, and in reality, they are. They were Elena’s rooms before she was trapped at the bottom of the water. Perhaps Benjamin has realized this.]
[Only Cocona doesn’t need to think, hahahaha.]
[What’s worth mentioning is that she constantly mocks Drake, but in reality, she’s only slightly better than him, just a little bit, hahaha.]
Cocona had no idea that a group of people was mocking her. If she had known, lightning would probably have struck them.
They followed Eryon and reached the third floor.
The third-floor door was wide open, enough to show the urgency of John’s group.
As soon as they entered, Cocona’s group instinctively shrank back a little from the cold air. The temperature difference between here and outside was truly immense! It felt like walking into a dark ice cave!
The black stone walls enveloped the entire space. It was hard to imagine such a cold cavern existing inside this luxurious castle.
"Should we go on?" Anna’s hesitant voice rang out ahead. John didn’t respond.
Hearing footsteps, they turned around, clearly sensing the strangeness of the castle, so they stopped to wait for their "teammates."
Eryon raised an eyebrow, looking at him mockingly, and said, "Why stop? I thought the treasures down there had given you enough strength."
Cocona also mocked, "Everything is just Elena’s superstition, why are you stopping?"
The others: "..."
Cocona had never liked Leonard’s gloominess after Eryon died, but she didn’t realize how happy she was traveling with Eryon.
