Becoming a God Starts with Acting-Chapter 88: Dungeon Evolution Complete (Fish _ D-1)
Chapter 88: Dungeon Evolution Complete (Fish _ D-1)
Silvanus felt as if the world before him had changed. He opened his eyes, only to see the stars growing more prominent in his vision—as if his sight was being magnified unbelievably.
He squeezed his eyes shut, then blinked repeatedly. A strange light flickered in his eyes before quickly fading away.
Moreover, he felt his body had become lighter as if he could float into the air at any moment. It was as if gravity no longer posed a barrier, so long as he willed it.
"What is this feeling?" Silvanus couldn’t help but mutter.
[Congratulations, you have completed your second evolution! Your body is becoming even more perfect!]
The system’s congratulatory voice echoed in Silvanus’s ears.
He furrowed his brows slightly and mumbled, "Even more perfect... for what purpose?"
[Don’t you want to become a true god?]
The system’s words made Silvanus freeze. The corner of his mouth twitched, and he instinctively muttered, "No, I don’t. Why would I want to become a god? Wasn’t I supposed to resurrect and return to my old world? Isn’t that supposed to be my reward for completing the mission?"
[No, you’ve forgotten again. That was never your reward. You did everything to survive.]
Silvanus fell silent. He felt like he had taken another step closer to trouble.
He ran his hands roughly through his hair, messing up the once beautiful strands, ready to watch the hard-earned faith points return to zero.
"Open the control panel."
As soon as Silvanus spoke, an ample notification appeared before him.
[Confirmed: Acting points have surpassed the system upgrade threshold. Would you like to level up now?!]
Silvanus looked at his acting points—71,467—and asked, "How many acting points do I need to reach Level 4?"
[40,000 acting points, sir!]
Silvanus’s eyes widened. "That much?! Is anything useful even going to show up?"
The system spoke sadly:
[The system has always been sound, sir. Besides, I don’t know what changes might appear with the upgrade!]
"You never know anything anyway," Silvanus replied.
He could sense that the system was crying, but he didn’t care.
After thinking it over for a while, he finally decided to confirm the system upgrade to Level 4!
A blinding light flashed, and a completely new interface appeared before Silvanus.
[Acting System – Lv4 (Note: 60,000 acting points required for next upgrade!)]
After leveling up to Level 4, the God’s Realm expanded from 6 to 18 square meters. Combined with the extra space gained by absorbing monsters, God’s Realm now spanned 23 square meters—an impressive figure in Silvanus’s eyes. As long as nothing unexpected happened, he could soon imprison a massive monster inside God’s Realm without worrying about its size!
The Level 4 Cinematic Effects could now create up to six effects. Creation had also been upgraded, though its description remained unchanged—the quality of created items still depended on the amount of faith points Silvanus had.
Although the Acting System had reached Level 4, the Director Authority notes hadn’t changed much. It had only increased by one level, granting an additional 5 seconds of free time stop. Now, Silvanus had a total of 10 seconds of time freeze.
But he wasn’t focused on that yet. It wasn’t time to use such a terrifying skill. What truly caught his attention now was the Director’s Space function.
[Deposit 10,000 faith points to unlock the space today! Don’t you want to level up from actor to director?!]
Silvanus stared at that message and, after a moment of hesitation, finally decided to upgrade.
The interface changed rapidly. Almost instantly, the scene before Silvanus transformed. All he could see was mist—thick, endless mist. He couldn’t make out anything in front of him. Looking down, he could only see the ground within a two-meter radius around him.
Silvanus tried to step into the fog but found himself blocked by an invisible barrier.
"What the hell is this?" he muttered. "This is what they call Director’s Space? Don’t mess with me like this!"
Just as despair was creeping in, the system’s cheerful voice rang out in his ears:
[Congratulations! You have unlocked Director’s Space! Now, create your very own world!]
"I spent 10,000 acting points just for this? A circle not even five meters wide?"
Silvanus was so annoyed he almost laughed. He had always known this stingy system wouldn’t offer him anything good—but this was still irritating beyond belief.
Still, he had no choice but to read the function’s description:
[Director’s Space: Status – Unlocked. Congratulations, you are now a Director!
As a director, of course, you need your own film set! Begin building your studio from the smallest space!
Current number of actors that can be invited: 0]
Silvanus frowned slightly as he read this. Build his own film set? Did that mean this space would transform according to his imagination?
Almost the moment he had that thought, Silvanus imagined a vast, open sky above a mirror-like surface of water—where the horizon could be seen.
And as soon as that thought took shape, the ground beneath his feet transformed—becoming smooth and reflective, like a mirror. That "mirror" reflected a sky of soft blue dotted with white clouds. Silvanus looked up and saw that the sky glowed with a gentle, beautiful light within the two-meter radius above him. Everything was genuinely changing according to his thoughts!
"Then... what about a grassy field?" Silvanus wondered and focused on turning that thought into reality.
Sure enough, the "mirror" beneath his feet shifted once again, becoming a lush, green patch of grass. Aside from the space being still too small, the ability itself was undeniably magical.
From what Silvanus understood, this power allowed him to create his own private space. Any "actors" he invited into it would have to follow the script laid out by him, the "director."
However, since the current number of available actors was zero, this ability—though unlocked—could not yet be used to its full potential.
"No problem. I’ll live long enough to make use of this power."
Silvanus said it aloud as if to encourage himself to keep going.
[Master, the moment of convergence has arrived. The transformation of the dungeons is complete!]
The system suddenly spoke up in a serious tone, immediately catching Silvanus’s attention. He exited the Director’s Space at once and asked with a furrowed brow, "What does that mean?"
[It means the upgrade period has ended. As of now, all dungeons have fully evolved...]
The system explained everything, and the more Silvanus listened, the darker his expression became. Just then, he also heard Drake grumbling from the temple hall. Silvanus decided to appear and relay everything he had learned.
Outside, Drake had just finished complaining about Silvanus when he heard footsteps approaching.
Just moments ago, none sensed a trace of life within the temple. There was no doubt that Silvanus had genuinely appeared out of nowhere!
For some reason, Drake felt a twinge of guilt. He could act shamelessly in front of just about anyone, yet he was hesitant when facing Silvanus. Maybe it sounded strange, but Silvanus’s gaze reminded him—just slightly—of the Prophet’s. Perhaps it was all in his head... Drake thought to himself.
Silvanus was still wearing his long cloak, his every step stirring the air around him. His solemn expression naturally drew the attention of everyone present.
Leonard couldn’t help but be slightly taken aback when he looked at Silvanus. It was the first time he’d seen this priest, and he had to admit—the man’s face was stunningly perfect, almost divine, as if he weren’t entirely accurate. The impression made Leonard recall the first time he saw Nerio...
Quickly, Leonard shook his head, silently scolding himself for the blasphemous thought. Silvanus was just a priest!
Silvanus didn’t concern himself with what others were thinking. He gave a slight nod in greeting and babbled:
"You’ve all encountered another Supreme Being, a powerful deity. However, I ask that you be careful—not to offend Him. He’s merely playful by nature, but He is truly kind-hearted. Just remember, never incur His displeasure."
Praising his performance felt slightly embarrassing, but right now, Silvanus couldn’t afford to think too much about it.
Leonard nodded eagerly and asked, "Will I meet Him in the next dungeon?"
"Think about that only if you enter the next dungeon," Silvanus replied.
That meant there was no guarantee Leonard would be chosen for the upcoming dungeon.
Leonard couldn’t help but look downcast, but what Silvanus said next hit everyone much harder.
"The dungeon has completed its evolution," Silvanus said slowly.
Drake frowned upon hearing this and asked, "What does that mean?"
"It means the dungeons have now evolved and become more complete. In future dungeons, humanity won’t face a single faction of monsters. There may be multiple factions. The inner worlds of the dungeons will become more complex. However, one thing won’t change—monsters will still prioritize killing humans whenever possible."
In other words, things were going to get much more dangerous. They wouldn’t face one strong boss anymore—but possibly several powerful enemies.
"Prepare yourselves," Silvanus said, his voice low and steady, "because everything from now on will be far more difficult—many times more than before."
His words rang out like a death sentence, settling heavily in the hearts of everyone present.
