Becoming a God Starts with Acting-Chapter 90: [Fish] - Nerio’s Part (2)
Chapter 90: [Fish] - Nerio’s Part (2)
Surprisingly, not a single ordinary person appeared in this dungeon.
The two standing behind Benjamin were Cyril and Vale—both outstanding devotees of the angel Raphael.
Cocona looked at Benjamin and said, "You’ve probably already heard the government’s announcement. The dungeon has completed its evolution. I’m afraid it will be far more dangerous than before."
Cocona was a serious and rigorous person when she wasn’t teasing Drake. Benjamin nodded without saying a word.
A loud voice suddenly rang out at that moment: "What the hell is this place?!"
Everyone turned to look and saw a young man, about twenty years old, suddenly appear through the mist. Because his body was moving so erratically, he stumbled forward, looking like he was about to fall face-first into the ground.
Benjamin quickly caught him and asked with concern, "Are you okay?"
The young man looked up, and his appearance stunned everyone around.
His slightly wavy black hair and pale blue eyes gave off a cold aura, but the shape of his eyes was naturally seductive, making him look like a melancholic playboy—a prince searching for the love of his life.
[My pick has shown uppppppppp!]
[A bunch of espers—indeed they can protect my wife, or I won’t forgive them!]
[The last commenter is a feminine, right? What species goes around trying to marry males?]
[Take a wild guess kkkkkk]
[Why does that continent have so many beautiful humans? I wanna eat them up!]
[Seriously, handsome men shouldn’t exist. They’re wasting all the women!]
Benjamin smiled slightly and was about to say something when the young man suddenly frowned and violently shook off Benjamin’s hand as if he were some virus. He straightened up, looked at everyone in confusion, and angrily ruffled his hair. "What the hell is this? Was I chosen to enter a dungeon? No way, I want out! Let me out now!"
His face immediately twisted with anger, which took away much of his charm. Cyril and Vale both frowned at the boy’s attitude toward Benjamin.
[Alright, looks aren’t everything. I vote this guy dies on the first night, hahaha]
[Yeah, the master of this place hates pretty boys like that, hahaha. Why is everything so coincidental?]
[As long as Cocona doesn’t die, I’m good—I don’t want to be a widow]
[Can you stop bending other people’s gender? Cocona is my wife!]
The young man had no idea that his fate had already been sealed—by the comment section.
He looked around at everyone angrily. Then his sharp gaze locked eyes with Leonard’s. He frowned and snapped, "You’ve been staring at me this whole time? What’s your problem? Have you never seen someone as good-looking as me before? Country bumpkin. Just looking at your raggedy appearance is annoying."
Bella frowned and stepped forward to shield Leonard. "What kind of way is that to talk?!"
[How can someone like this exist? He just showed up and already managed to piss off both sides lol]
[This guy is so done for!]
At that moment, Leonard gently tugged on Bella’s sleeve and muttered, "It’s okay..."
Bella furrowed her brows, still angry, but she only let out a cold snort in the end without saying another word.
Then Cocona spoke chilly: "If you’ve realized this is a dungeon, your attitude is completely out of place. If you want to survive, behave yourself. What’s your name?"
Eryon sneered, "Eryon. And don’t talk like you can guarantee my safety. Who knows how many ordinary people have died in dungeons? What have espers ever managed to do?"
"You—!" Bella was so furious she couldn’t speak, but the painful truth was—Eryon wasn’t wrong. Espers couldn’t save everyone. Still, they were trying their best. Eryon’s attitude, however, was infuriating.
Just then, Alice spoke up. "Alright, calm down, Bella. Getting angry will only ruin that pretty face of yours."
Even Alice’s seemingly endless gentleness vanished when her eyes landed on Eryon.
Cocona let out a soft laugh at Eryon’s behavior. "Fine then. I hope you can keep running your mouth like that inside the dungeon."
With her memory, Cocona could confirm—this guy wasn’t an esper. Ordinary people who entered dungeons usually panicked and exposed their true nature. Eryon might not be scared now, but once he saw how terrifying the dungeon was, he’d cry like a child.
Just then, a system pop-up appeared in front of everyone.
[Recently, the William family has been plagued by strange events. The family members suspect that the monster that once haunted their estate has returned to wreak havoc. No one in the household can find peace. You are elite exorcists, personally invited by the head of the William family to eliminate the monster and lift the curse upon the castle!
Mission: Eliminate the monster. Uncover the secrets of the William family!]
Simultaneously, the fog in front of them dissipated, and everyone’s clothing changed immediately. They were now all dressed alike: a white shirt underneath, a long black coat reaching down to their knees, and a brown cloak with intricate patterns draped over their shoulders, extending down to their waists.
"I’ve heard the demon in the William family’s castle isn’t simple. The Williams are a prestigious family—they’ve paid a great price for this. Don’t let them down."
A raspy voice echoed out. It belonged to a man around forty years old. He had little hair left on his head, and his gaze and demeanor marked him as the group leader.
Only now did the others realize that they weren’t the only "humans" here. Aside from them, there were six others. In addition to the balding man, there were five more—two men and three women.
One of the men had rather long hair, and the other had strange, slightly crossed eyes. The three women looked even more absurd—their exorcist outfits were oddly designed: cinched at the waist and rather revealing. They looked more like characters out of a video game than actual exorcists.
One had long black hair, another had long blonde hair, and the third had a short bob. The way they moved was exaggerated and unnatural—they didn’t take things seriously.
Cocona and her group exchanged glances, silently agreeing to stay quiet for now.
Meanwhile, outside the dungeon, Frank finally understood: "So this is what they mean by an ’evolved dungeon’... the world inside becomes fully immersive."
"At this point, even humans can’t act freely," Layla said, her voice grim.
However, there’s always someone who doesn’t know what danger is.
"What is with this ugly outfit? Is there seriously no better fashion in this hellhole? It’s ruining my face!"
Eryon shouted, his expression full of indignation.
Cocona placed a hand on her forehead. Suddenly, she understood how Drake must’ve felt—right now, she seriously wanted to summon a lightning bolt from the heavens to strike Eryon down.
The balding man and the others slowly turned to look at Eryon. Whether it was because they were inside a dungeon or not, the way they turned felt eerie and unsettling.
Eryon, seemingly unaware of the danger, glared right back at them and shouted, "What? Have you never seen a beautiful person before? Keep staring, and I’ll gouge your damn eyes out!"
All the other humans had been quietly watching, curious how these "NPCs" would react to the newcomers like themselves. But what happened next shocked them all.
The balding man looked furious—but what he said stunned everyone.
"Eryon! Even if this is acting, you’ve gotta stay in character! Just bear with it a little, okay? Do you know how much money we’ll make once this is all over?!"
Acting?
