Betrayed by Fiance, Embraced by Hidden Tycoon-Chapter 211: Sign The Contract
Chapter 211: Sign The Contract
Nathaniel explained, glancing at Sawyer and signaling for him to explain more to his mother and grandmother.
"Everyone, I hope Abigail’s relationship with Grandpa Philips doesn’t leave this room. I don’t want people who might not like this news to target Abigail," Sawyer warned, surprising Walter and the others when they saw his serious expression.
"Why?" Walter asked, confused. "My son, this is good news to share; there’s no need to hide it. Right, Uncle James?"
"Yes, Sawyer. Why don’t you want anyone else to know about my daughter-in-law?" Hannah also chimed in. "I can’t keep this a secret; I want to take her shopping and let my friends know I have a granddaughter." Her eyes beamed excitedly.
Even though her friends didn’t know her husband and son’s identity, Hannah imagined introducing Abigail as her daughter-in-law to all of them.
"I also agree with Walter and Hannah," Martha said, smiling at Abigail before continuing. "I can’t and won’t hide Abigail; she is my first granddaughter-in-law. I want everyone to know about her, including her status as part of the Philips family."
Sawyer was speechless. He had warned his parents and grandparents to keep his marriage a secret, and they had all agreed to his request. However, now they were forgetting their promise.
’How troublesome!’ Sawyer vented his frustration in his mind. He was beginning to regret allowing them to attend his wedding. Each of them only added to his headache.
James shook his head and rejected Walter’s and the others’ ideas. He looked at each one before responding, "I agree with Sawyer’s suggestion."
"But Uncle James—" Walter began, but his words halted when he saw James raise his hand to silence him.
"Walter, you know about Abigail’s grandmother, who suddenly left without a word and has been hiding from me until now? She’s even kept our daughter and granddaughter a secret?" freewebnσvel.cøm
"Y-Yes, Uncle, I know," Walter replied.
"I need to investigate the reason behind this. I believe this is not just a simple case. Someone has tried to separate us, and until now, I haven’t known who that person is..." He paused, observing Walter and the others, who gasped in shock, including Abigail.
James smiled calmly at his granddaughter.
"This is for my granddaughter and her grandmother’s safety, so please don’t tell anyone about it. Once everything is resolved, I will bring Abigail back into my family. I hope you all can keep this confidential for me."
James had promised Abigail that he would protect her from his family. Even though he was unsure why Sophie had disappeared or hidden her pregnancy, he knew he needed to meet her first.
"Don’t worry, Uncle James. I will never tell anyone else about it." Walter was the first to vow this after hearing James Philips’s words.
Hannah and Martha quickly followed suit, determined not to risk Abigail’s safety.

The night was approaching.
In one of the VIP rooms of a luxury restaurant in the city’s heart, Angela Jones sat back in her chair, playing with her glass of wine. Her striking eyes were fixed on the woman across from her. She didn’t rush to urge her to sign the document on the table.
However, after a few more minutes, the woman still hadn’t reached for the pen to sign the agreement; instead, she stared at her.
It made Angela impatient. A barely visible, annoyed smile framed her full, red lips before she expressed her annoyance, "Serena, what are you waiting for?" Her voice sounded soft yet carried an urgent undertone that caused Serena to flinch slightly from her thoughts.
"Do you still doubt me? Why do you seem reluctant to sign the paper?" Angela added.
Angela didn’t personally like Serena Philips. How could she have the audacity to demand conditions before agreeing to become a Brand Ambassador for her skincare and cosmetics company?
Serena seemed entitled to impose her requests only because she was a top artist. With nearly eighty million followers on social media, Serena’s fanbase has extended domestically and internationally, making her a powerful influencer.
Angela had no choice but to comply, as Serena was the person she needed. Serena could help her quickly establish her new company and make her products highly sought after.
"Sister, thank you for your help." A sweet smile appeared on Serena’s lips as she looked at Angela. "I will sign." She picked up the pen from the table and immediately signed the contract in front of her.
She couldn’t back out now; she needed to meet Andy Bennet soon before her father forced her to marry Harvey Jones. The thought of spending her life with the rude man made her feel suffocated. However, getting Andy Bennet’s attention was difficult, so she needed Angela to arrange a meeting with him.
"Done, sis..." Serena said, pushing the signed contract toward her.
Angela Jones set down her wine glass and took the contract that Serena had just signed. A spring-like smile blossomed on her lips. She was thrilled to finally have a powerful actress as her brand ambassador.
However, her smile slowly faded as she thought about Andy Bennet. Although she already had an appointment scheduled with him, there was no guarantee that he would accept her business proposal.
She truly needed to collaborate with the Silverstone Group. To effectively sell her product, she needed their e-commerce network and all the stores across the country.
Setting aside her worries, Angela glanced at Serena, sensing something was bothering her.
"Serena, do you mind if I ask you something?"
"Go ahead, sis..."
"Why are you so desperate to meet Andy Bennet? Are you interested in him?"
Serena was taken aback, hearing Angela’s question.
"W-What? Of course not. I just wanted to meet him because of work. Ugh, well, sis, it’s the same as you..." Serena’s smile widened as she continued to eat her cake. She couldn’t reveal her plan to Angela because it was too embarrassing.
"I see..." Angela could tell Serena was hiding something. She noticed how she pretended to be calm, but fear and worry flashed in her eyes.
