Chapter 240: Asking For Trouble

"Tommy, it’s okay. Please don’t be mad at her. I’m fine; I’m just surprised that she suddenly pushed me," Serena said softly, tucking her hair behind her ear and giving Abigail a small smile.

’What the heck... Serena Philips, you are wicked and so shameless. How dare you twist this situation?’ She silently cursed that shameless woman in her mind.

Abigail felt exhausted after talking to Serena and her stupid manager. She ignored them both and made her way to the VIP room, done wasting her time with them.

Just as Abigail was about to walk away, the man called out to her again. "STOP right there, woman! We can’t be done with you yet." His voice was filled with anger.

Abigail halted and turned to face them, her gaze locking on Serena. She couldn’t believe this woman had allowed her manager to stop her.

It was difficult for Abigail to accept that Serena genuinely planned to challenge her. She had earlier accused her of being a gold-digger and had now informed her manager that she had assaulted her.

At first, she didn’t want to make a scene in this place and just wanted to leave, ignoring Serena and her manager. But it seemed like they asked for trouble themselves. She had no choice but to deal with these two stupid people before other guests came.

"Seriously, Serena, do you want to do this to me?" A half-smile slowly emerges on Abigail’s lips as she pauses for a moment before continuing her words, "If you go through with what you’re planning in your mind right now, I guarantee you’ll regret it later..."

Serena gasped, her gloominess flashing in her eyes, as she softly responded, "Abigail, what do you mean? I’m telling the truth... Earlier, you pushed me so hard and made me almost fall on the floor. You attack me. Why do you do that? You know, I only want to talk to you."

"Hey, you!" the man shouted again, his fierce eyes glaring at Abigail as if he wanted to hurt her with his gaze.

"If you need Serena’s signature, you can ask nicely. She will give it to you... Why did you grab her hand and hurt her?" he continued while stepping forward to walk a short distance with Abigail; Serena also walked beside him.

As Serena stood just a few steps away, Abigail could see the malicious look in her eyes. "What do you want from me, Serena?" she asked.

Tommy, rather than Serena, replied, "I want you to apologize because you hurt my talent. I’m sure you know her; she’s a famous star in this country..."

Abigail merely shot him a "get lost" look while refusing to respond.

Tommy, now even angrier, fixed his gaze on Abigail and continued, "Every part of Serena Philips’ body is incredibly valuable; you can’t possibly afford the consequences if something happens to her. You’re lucky she hasn’t decided to sue you because she knows you. But that still could happen unless you apologize to her."

Abigail suppressed her laughter at the absurdity of this man’s sentence. She ignored him, keeping her eyes on Serena. "Did you know CCTV surrounds this place?" she asked, pointing to the hidden cameras in a few spots.

Seeing how shocked Serena is now, Abigail continues, "I warned you before. You would pay a big price if you wanted to keep up your nonsense. So before I get mad at you, please stop. Let all of us just leave this place in peace and be far away from each other. Agree?"

Although Abigail initially wanted to teach Serena a lesson, she decided against it out of concern for her grandmother. She didn’t want her grandmother to face any trouble if Serena found out later. At this point, Abigail was trying to avoid conflict with Serena. Even the slightest kind. However, she would not remain passive if Serena continued to provoke her.

Serena gritted her teeth in anger and said in a miserable tone, "Abigail, I didn’t want to cause any trouble. I only want you to apologize to me sincerely..."

"Why should I apologize when I haven’t done anything wrong?" Abigail chuckled, amused at how shameless Serena was in her demands.

"Hey, can you just say sorry? Why do you talk so much?" Tommy shouted in annoyance. He put his hands on his hips, glaring at Abigail, before turning to see Serena.

"If she didn’t want to apologize, can we just return her with a SLAP, Serena? There’s no need to waste your time talking to this woman." He suggested.

Serena said nothing, but her gaze at Tommy clearly encouraged him to do so. A smile spread across Tommy’s lips as he turned his gaze back to Abigail.

"Alright, you don’t need to apologize, but you need this..." Tommy raised his hand and swung a slap towards Abigail’s face.

"Stop right there!" A man’s distant voice halted Tommy. "You’ll lose your hand if you touch her, sir!"

Tommy frowned, looking at the pale-faced man with shoulder-length hair. He shouted, "Who the fuck are you?" His eyes stared at the man, and his hand was still hanging in the air just a few centimeters from Abigail’s face.

Abigail felt relieved when she heard Vincent’s voice behind her. She could handle these two on her own, but with Vincent around, she wouldn’t have to get her hands dirty by punching someone in the face.

"Who the hell are you?" Tommy shouted again when he saw the man with shoulder-length hair ignoring him and standing right before him. "Move, motherfucker, or don’t blame me if I punch your face!"

Vincent disregarded Tommy’s threat and calmly turned to Abigail. "Are you alright, young madam!?" He sounded worried.

Abigail smiled at him when she saw how worried Vincent’s gaze was, "Hmmm, I’m fine, Vincent..."

A relieved sigh escaped Vincent’s lips.

"I’m so sorry, Ma’am. I came here late. Alright, no need to worry. I will take care of these two. Please return inside. Don’t hurt your eyes looking at these two awful people," Vincent said, but Abigail declined to go. She needs to clear up the misunderstanding with Serena Philips.
