Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 53 - 048: Fourth Master (Second Update)
Chapter 53 - 048: Fourth Master (Second Update)
"Ai Nuo!"
"Fifth Brother, why have you started being as sharp-tongued as our eldest brother?"
Little Raindrop and Teng Ai Ni simultaneously attacked Tong Aino.
Yi Luowa lifted her eyes to look at Tong Aino and said slowly, "Then why don't you just destroy the Yi Group? I know you have the ability!"
Tong Aino furrowed his brows slightly, feeling a bit regretful. What was he thinking, bickering with a little girl?
"Tong Aino, I'm officially challenging you now. As long as I'm here in the racing world, I won't let you win a single trophy or earn a single penny of prize money! Starting today, I'll use the money I earn myself to support my second uncle!"
After speaking, Yi Luowa stared fixedly at Tong Aino. It wasn't even about the money—how could he misunderstand her like this!
"I take back what I just said." Tong Aino raised his eyes to Yi Luowa. "I accept your challenge. We'll settle this on the race track!"
"Alright!" Yi Luowa pressed her lips tightly together and wheeled herself out of the room.
Little Raindrop and Teng Ai Ni hurriedly chased after her.
"Fifth Brother, you really went too far today. You know better than anyone what that little girl has been going through these past few days. Even just listening to her story makes me feel sorry for her. Saying something like that to her is like sprinkling salt into her wounds." Monica sighed, "I keep wondering—if all this happened to me, would I be able to be as strong as she is?"
Mi Chenxuan glared angrily at Tong Aino. "Fifth Brother, that little girl is so pure and kindhearted. She's absolutely not the type to care about money. Saying that about her made even me mad!"
You Jia's lips twitched slightly. He wanted to say something, too, but he knew he wasn't in a position to speak just yet.
Tong Aino knitted his brows and threw down the cards in his hand. "I'm supposed to be your brother, and yet you're all siding with an outsider instead of me!"
Mi Chenshuo smirked slyly, "Fifth Brother, be honest with Third Brother—are you sulking because a little girl defeated you?"
Tong Aino shot him a glare. "Am I that petty?"
"It's written all over your face!" Mi Chenxuan huffed coldly.
Mi Chenshuo pulled his younger brother aside. "Stop bitching, or he might hit you!" freewebnøvel.coɱ
"If he hits me, I'll tell Fourth Brother!" Mi Chenxuan provocatively eyed Tong Aino.
Tong Aino shot up from his seat, making Mi Chenxuan turn tail and run.
As Mi Chenxuan reached the doorway, Little Raindrop and Teng Ai Ni walked in.
"Sis, did the little girl cry?" Mi Chenxuan hid behind Little Raindrop and asked.
"She didn't cry. She went to spend time with her second uncle. Let's not disturb her—she needs some peace and quiet. That child has been through enough, carrying a bad reputation for over ten years and then being doubted again. Anyone would break under that kind of pressure." Little Raindrop sighed and led her younger sister into the inner room where they were keeping vigil.
Tong Aino slammed his fist on the table and stormed out.
Tong Airui had napped all afternoon in the next room, and no one dared tell him what had transpired; he remained completely in the dark.
That evening, he casually asked, "Why hasn't Yi Luowa come by?"
Little Raindrop frowned and replied, "With so many people taking care of you, why must you drag her into this? Her second uncle just woke up, and her family is dealing with such a big mess. Can't you give them some space to spend time alone?"
Tong Airui, chastised by his sister, fell silent. He went to bed early after finishing his dinner.
Yi Luowa felt despondent but didn't show it in front of her second uncle. Later, when she returned to her hospital room, she buried herself under the covers and started crying.
Teng Ai Ni entered and found Yi Luowa still crying. She pressed her lips together and sat down on the edge of the bed.
Yi Luowa wiped her eyes in the cocoon of blankets before asking in a muffled voice, "Sister, why are you here?"
"How did you know it was me who came in?" Teng Ai Ni smiled as she pulled back the covers.
"I can smell your perfume." Yi Luowa sniffled and looked at Teng Ai Ni.
"Don't be upset anymore." Teng Ai Ni took a tissue and wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes. "I'm here to apologize on behalf of my Fifth Brother."
"I don't have a reason to be angry at him, because even if he didn't say it, others would still think the same. This afternoon, I talked with my second uncle about changing his will. I don't want a single penny from the Yi family, but my second uncle got angry and told me to come back and think it over carefully..." Yi Luowa pouted, and tears fell again.
"Poor little thing, don't cry, okay?" Teng Ai Ni hurriedly helped her wipe her tears. "Your second uncle sees you as his own child. Don't say things like that to him anymore, or you'll hurt his feelings."
Yi Luowa sniffled. Teng Ai Ni smiled and said softly, "Listen to your sister. Let people say whatever they want. You've carried the 'sweeping star' reputation for over ten years, and yet haven't you still been living happily? Don't let this little bump knock you down. Actually, my Fifth Brother regretted his words after he said them, but he's the kind of person who doesn't know how to apologize. Trust me, he'll come around eventually."
Teng Ai Ni stayed with Yi Luowa for a while, and seeing her mood lift significantly, she left behind two packs of feminine pads and walked out.
Yi Luowa slept fitfully that night, waking up dazed at dawn to find someone standing by the door.
The figure at the door was clad in a black uniform that outlined his tall, athletic frame. Beneath his beret, his tan face exuded sharp masculinity, with thick eyebrows rebelliously arched upwards. His long, slightly curled lashes framed ice-cold, deep-set eyes that radiated untamed intensity and seductive allure. His chiseled nose and lips that resembled delicate rose petals complemented his exquisitely sculpted features—a vision of austere yet stunning handsomeness. He carried himself with the dominating aura of a sovereign ruler of the world.
Yi Luowa was dumbstruck. She was, without a doubt, a die-hard fan of uniforms. She swallowed hard, her gaze fixed on his face.
Tong Airui's wicked yet strikingly handsome face bore a smirk of playful disdain as he studied her every move. After a while, he finally spoke in a deep voice, "Awake already? Remember, I promised to give you a gift today."
