Chapter 70: Rank EX

Jeremy had come out of his Bone Cathedral.

No one had been paying attention, not even his own summoning.

Only Yvanna was aware of his gaze and presence.

But what was she doing here? Wasn’t she fighting Malrik?

Technically, she was still doing that.

---

After Malrik unleashed all his power.

Souls, which until a moment before were floating around him with damned expressions, were absorbed into his body.

But he did not undergo any transformation.

However, the power he exuded was enough to silence all forms of doubt.

He had become incredibly more powerful and sinister.

Gugistrum Yvanna was handling the direct confrontation against the devil, while Velastrum Yvanna was acting as support.

But, of course, they were losing.

The moment the devil unleashed all his power, unrestrained, the clash became almost one-sided.

Almost.

Yvanna was not weak.

She had long since perfected her fighting style.

Defeat would not come in a short moment, or rather, it would not come at all.

Of course, she certainly would not win, nor could she stop the devil from destroying everything on this planet, but she had the confidence not to die.

But if things had really come to that point, she could have unleashed a unique power to get rid of the devil. But that would have put her planet at serious risk.

Moreover, she could feel it.

A presence, a very powerful one, was watching all of them.

He knew to whom it belonged. A Rank Stellar devil.

And it was precisely because of this reason that Yvanna was worried.

If that devil unleashed his power to destroy the planet, she would not be able to stop him.

Fortunately, the devils’ goal was to capture someone.

In addition, Yvanna still had several secret weapons to unleash.

So, it was all to be decided.

But just as Malrik began to unleash his power and confront the two women, something powerful emerged from the battlefield beneath them.

Every single undead suddenly unleashed a greater power.

It was like witnessing a group metamorphosis.

This lasted only a few seconds before an army of death and bones was revealed in all its glory.

Everyone’s power had increased by a whole degree.

As a result, the devils were exterminated in a short time.

A curious look formed on Malrik’s face as the confrontation between him and the two women had stopped, again.

"Here he comes-" said the devil, already ready to face the boy.

After all, it was from him that Malrik felt a strange sensation.

It was as if they were destined to meet.

It was as if meeting the human would trigger the enlightenment he so longed for in order to ascend to Rank EX.

Yvanna, inceve, watched the scene with a look of gratitude. She did not know what the devil was thinking, but she did not care.

The battle below had always been a source of stress for the empress.

But now, with nothing to worry about, she could unleash her most destructive moves.

And with these thoughts in mind, something strange happened on the battlefield.

The Aberration created by Jeremy, with five heads, ten arms and ten legs, huge, with a plump but deadly body, charged against the humans.

Judging from the situation, this ear an expected thing.

The monster was in a furious state, not distinguishing between friend and foe, but the thing that amazed Yvanna was the reaction of the Bone Legion, to the thing.

In particular, the human-looking woman’s response given to Victoria about doing something to help humans.

"The master has spoken clearly. No survivors." her voice was cold as ice as she surveyed the scene.

Then, with a chilling smile, she continued. "But don’t worry, you are an exception, you will stay alive."

This left Yvanna speechless.

She did not understand.

Hadn’t the boy just saved everyone by killing devils? Why would he now kill humans as well?

As this thought assailed her mind, she was already moving toward Aberration.

But she did not intervene directly. She used her parallel-world beasts to put the monster out of its misery.

There was obviously a reason for this.

He wanted to show Jeremy what he was capable of.

He was not the only one who could command an army.

And so, she descended from the sky, leaving Malrik busy with Gugistrum Yvanna.

Her gaze rested on the boy’s eyes.

No one had noticed his presence, even though he had come out of Bone Cathedral.

"So," the woman spoke with unvarnished menace. "What are your intentions, boy?"

The woman’s eyes scrutinized the young man’s every movement.

She was studying him.

After all, the presence he exuded demanded caution.

"I wanted to do nothing more than thank you for your work, and offer you a generous reward, but now..." he continued, looking first at the remains of the dead creature, then at the face of the woman who had responded to Victoria.

Cambela, the devil for whom all this was happening.

Jeremy’s gaze did not leave the Empress’s for a moment.

Despite the fact that she was looking down on him, he being on the ground and she in heaven, his confidence did not waver. His eyes were swollen with power.

With his presence now revealed, everyone’s eyes turned to him.

Cambela and Aliken, disguised as humans, approached, positioning themselves to his left.

Why to the left and not to the right?

Obviously because the right side belonged exclusively to his generals, particularly Drae’mon.

His form had changed, in a way that exuded a different feeling from before, definitely.

But he was not the only one who had changed.

After his arrival, others made their appearance, in order of birth.

Leo’sol, SuperCannon and Hero.

Their presence radiated a power that should not have belonged to them.

"Let me introduce myself to you, O Empress." Jeremy’s voice was full of unvarnished sarcasm.

Placing a hand on his chest, he added.

"My name is Veydras, Jeremy Veydras. And no, it was not my intention to help any of you. As I told the principal, Rose Redspine, in the past, I have no intention of helping the human race.

I do not feel represented by it, nor do I want to be. Maybe I am exaggerating, what happened to me is not even such a crazy thing when you think about it, but it doesn’t matter anymore."

The further he went, the more hostile his voice became.

Moreover, from the way he had presented himself, it had become clear.

He could not nor did he want to deny his existence anymore.

He was not only Jeremy, he was also Veydras. He had a last name, he belonged to something, something big.

With this development, everything became clearer.

His last name represented no external power, no otherworldly entity.

It represented only him and his undead army.

Drae’mon Veydras, Leo’sol Veydras, SuperCannon Veydras, and Hero Veydras.

He could no longer be considered Human.

No longer.
