This time when Lily showed up to her mother’s temple it was quiet and dark. No torches or candles were lit and the place seemed far too eerie. Red flags were going up every where in her mind so she started looking for her mother. Checking every room she had been in before she wasn’t there.

Lily was sure she couldn’t leave the pavilion, but she never asked her mother for sure. Stopping a moment Lily tried to concentrate on her mother’s essence, but couldn’t sense it either. Panic was about to set in when a large wolf came out of the back garden staring at her. The wolf was very large, big as a horse even and had a menacing presence. *Oh shit!*

That was all Lily got out before the wolf charged her teeth out ready to bite. Lily wanted to pull out her swords, but they weren’t coming out. It was like her energy was being blocked by something. Who or whatever was causing this wanted this wolf to catch her. She continued to dodge the wolf every time she tried to snap at her with those big teeth.

finally out in the open Lily could see what the wolf looked like. It had a similar fur color to her mother’s hair. Realizing her mistake Lily drops to her knees, tilting her head to the left a sign of submission. The wolf walked over to her sniffing her hair and body before sitting down. Lily looked up when she heard the wolf settle down in front of her. "Mom?"

The wolf set her head in Lily’s lap and she bumped her node into Lily’s hand. "Mom, what happened?" Her mother only looked up at her then laid her head back down. If Lily had to guess this must be one of those things that she couldn’t control. It kind of explained why Lily never had a beast present in her before.

"You can’t talk to me right now can you?" She looked at Lily again then set her head back down as Lily scratched behind her ear. "Well, I had hoped to talk with you about my training. Should I come back another time then?" She tried to ask the wolf who clearing didn’t understand her words. Lily patted her on the head and moved to get up. When she turned to leave the wolf bit her sleeve tugging on it.

"You want to show me something?" Her mother kept pulling until she stood next to her. The wolf flipped her head back as if telling Lily to get on her back. "Really?! Are you sure?" Her mother did the head flip again so Lily got on her back waiting to see what she would do. Artemis took off running forcing Lily to grab two big handfuls of fur to keep her from falling off.

Lily had gone flying with Dimitri before, but riding on the back of a wolve goddess was out of this world. She didn’t have to fly the world was her playground and she always knew where to step. Thinking back Lily remembered seeing a large wolf like this in the tree line back at the Wolf Palace. It never approached her and always seemed translucent any time she saw it.

"You were trying to keep tabs on me weren’t you?" Her mother yipped taking a leap across a revine then stopped in what looked like an abandoned forest. The whole place was dead or asleep she wasn’t sure which. Stepping down off her mother’s back Lily looked around at the area wondering why she was there. Artemis sat there waiting to see if Lily would understand why she brought her here.

Lily could feel her power starting to act up wanting to heal the ground around them. She looked up at her mother who only nodded at her. Taking a leap of faith Lily set her hand on the bark of a tree and concentrated pushing energy and light into the tree. At first nothing happened, but then the bark changed color and the tree came to life in full bloom.

It was a sight to behold as the tree fully matured and looked healthy again. Lily felt a little drained, but not like the last time she used her powers. "Is that what my powers are?" Lily looked to her mother hoping she would answer in some way, but she was gone. Looking around hoping to see her only to find that she was no where in sight.

Her energy began to wane again as she felt her body start to slow down. Trying to stay awake in a dream is hard, but it’s even worse when your own subconscious shuts down too. Feeling herself being pulled back to her physical body, Lily wonders why her mother couldn’t change back.

Lily woke up with a start looking around frantically before seeing Dimitri asleep in front of her. She relaxed seeing him sleeping peacefully still a bit startled by what she just witnessed. She has the ability to heal diseased plants. No wonder she was so good with them her power was restoring them.

Needing a moment to collect her thoughts Lily gets out of bed, putting a robe on then walking to the sliding door to step outside. The hot spring was steaming nicely with the morning chill making the water look tempting. Sitting down on the edge she dipped her legs in letting her feet relax. A flower was growing next to the spring that had yet to bloom so she wants to test if she can heal in her physical body as well.

Setting her hand on the ground around the base of the flower she concentrates pushing her energy into the plant filling it up as she opens her eyes to see it in full bloom. Excited that she could actually do it Lily tries another flower close by. It too bloomed vibrant as ever like the sun was shining directly on it. "I did it. He-he." She never thought her ability to take care of plants would mean something more then just research.

Dimitri had heard her get up and walk outside. He knew she was used to being alone and had to process certain thoughts. He just wished she would talk to him about some of it so she wasn’t so burdened. Peaking through the screen he saw her reaching for a flower bud then she started to glow a light filling the flower as it blooms. The look of joy on her face had him wanting to run to her, but she moved to try again and made another flower bloom.

He stepped out passed the screen walking over to her as she looked up a breath taking smile on her face as the sun crest over the fence shining down on her. He always found himself in awe of her whether its her beauty or her ability she always finds a way to light of his world. "How did you do that?"

"My mother taught me a new skill in my dreams. It was strange though she was stuck in her wolf form. I didn’t even know she had one, not that she couldn’t have one I just never suspected." Lily was still worried about her mother and wondered if it was just a cycle for her or a permanent change. "I’ll have to ask Prof....I mean my father about it. He seemed to be able to change at will, but that could be dependent on what kind of god he is."

""Hey, slow down. If she didn’t look in distress and was still able to communicate with you then it may just be something she has to live with. Your right talk to your father. I would think he might know something about it." Lily nodded as Dimitri sat down next to her watching the sunrise with her as she leaning her head on his shoulder.

Lily looked down to look at the two flowers she bloomed still standing turning to face the sun to absorb its light. Dimitri put his arm around her back pulling her close an overprotective need coming over him. They stayed like that until the sun came up a servant coughed gain there attention. "Breakfast will be ready shortly. Do you wish to dine here or in the main hall?"

After last nights events she wanted to avoid those people, but she still wished to talk with that woman. "We will be eat in our rooms, please. And is there a chance you could tell me which room is the woman from last nights outbursts?" the servant looked hesitate to tell her since she didn’t want to get into trouble for causing more problems.

"I promise I am not mad at the woman. I actually wish to help her, and I amy need her help." The servant looked surprised at Lily’s response since most were never that honest about their intentions. "Its at the end of the hall next the the back of the house. Because of her antic most won’t speak with her and she usually is quiet at dinner." The servant bowed and exited their room quickly.

Lily looked at Dimitri waiting for him to ask the question all over his face. "part of your revenge plot is she?" "Only one way to find out."
