Conquering Ladies With My 10x Rebate System-Chapter 25: Death
Chapter 25 - Death
The thick, choking scent filled the air. The black smoke rose up into the air.
Naya looked at the restroom door that was now shattered...
The hinges loosely attached to whatever was left of the door.
The beautiful interior of the hotel had been redecorated with damage.
Walls now painted black, the ground cracked. Debris falling from the ceiling.
Nathan's explosive powers were not to be underestimated.
But Naya didn't place even the slightest care to her surroundings.
Rather, her eyes were fixed on the figure who lay limp, charred black beside the restroom door.
She didn't know why, but the sight... it made her shiver.
Her heart trembling.
Her pulse increasing.
Her hands shook... Why was she feeling that way?
'Why?' she thought to herself, a tear slipping from her eyes.
"Ridiculous attempt to put me off! I can't believe you were that desperate that you actually gave someone your card... If I wasn't smarter, I would've fallen for your childish tricks!" Nathan roared, dragging her attention.
He didn't look like someone who had just taken the life of another.
Rather, he looked to take pride in it, which angered Naya all the more.
Her initial expression turned from that of sadness to anger.
A deep frown was etched onto her face.
Her eyes red in anger.
"You idiot! He had nothing to do with any of this!" Naya roared in anger.
Her movements were fast, driven with anger... and a sense of loss.
She drew a dagger from beneath her red gown and, without a second thought, threw it straight at Nathan.
Nathan was shocked by her sudden outburst and failed to read her fast movements.
The dagger struck him right on the left shoulder.
"You bitc—!" He was mid-sentence when Naya's fist met his face.
It was powerful, strong.
His head jerked to the side, almost detaching itself from the rest of his body.
'How is she so fast without her card?' Nathan thought, shocked by her strength.
The taste of iron filled his mouth, blood seeping into it.
But Naya didn't stop. She threw another fist.
But he reacted fast, catching her hand mid-air.
As though she expected it, she gave him a jab with her elbow, letting more blood seep into his mouth.
Driven by her rage, Naya had already thrown three successive attacks.
"Enough!" Nathan roared, his hands slid into his pockets.
A black card with golden intricate designs and two horns engraved on it followed his hand out.
Naya threw a punch to his gut, but unlike before, it felt as though she had slammed her hands against hard rock.
She gritted her teeth, withdrawing her hand involuntarily.
Nathan looked at her, his gaze condescending.
Naya didn't get the chance to gain distance as his hands gripped onto her neck.
Her feet were lifted from the ground, and her back slammed ruthlessly to the ground.
The earth cracked from the sheer power.
~Crack.
...And so did her bones.
Blood escaped from the gaps of her clenched teeth.
Nathan didn't let her go, though.
He pinned her to the ground, his hands clutched tightly around her neck.
Barely giving her any space to breathe.
"You know, you're quite stubborn... I would've never expected you to pack so much punch even without your card in your hand," Nathan said, dragging out the dagger and tossing it to the side, then cleaning the blood from his mouth with the sleeves of his clothes.
"But at the end of the day, I guess only one person will leave here alive, and it's—"
"It's us," a cold voice came from the restroom.
Nathan's eyes shot wide open in shock as he turned his head, but all he saw was the frost-cold lance right before his eyes.
There was no time to react.
No time to act.
The lance stabbed straight into his skull. It didn't stop.
It dragged his body across the floor, pinning it to the wall on the other end.
"Well, that was a hassle," a calm and confident voice came from the restroom.
Naya was still in shock. She turned her gaze to the body pinned to the wall.
Nathan's dead eyes were wide open, shock and disbelief written all over his face.
Even he didn't understand how he ended up dead.
But one thing was certain—he was... dead.
And the person who killed him...
"Caleb?..." Naya turned her head in his direction—confusion, disbelief, shock, relief...
Thousands of emotions all weaved into one face.
She didn't even know what to say.
Caleb chuckled at her expression.
"If you hated me that much, you should've just said it from the start... Well, just like I said... we win," Caleb said, with a bright smile on his face as he stretched out his hands for her.
Naya didn't know what to say...
She was at a loss for words. Her eyes just stared at the figure in front of her as though he were a ghost.
"How?" she muttered, finding her voice...
"I guess this came in handy," Caleb said, turning the card in his hands. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
It was very much similar to that of Nathan's—a black card with golden intricate designs.
However, there was a stark difference. This card had no horns, but rather one crown drawn right in the center of the card.
Naya still didn't look like she believed, but Caleb didn't care to explain further to her.
'The system skill was really a great help,' he thought, looking at the notification screen in front of him.

Naya looked to where she had once seen his dead body, and it was no longer there.
It had vanished!
All she saw was a puddle of water, enough to fill two buckets.
A slight look of understanding flashed in her eyes, yet it still didn't make complete sense to her.
She placed her hands on the ground, supporting herself up.
"Do you really find it that hard to believe I succeeded? Hell, you really wanted to die," Caleb said with a loud laugh.
But he stopped after realizing she didn't say a thing.
He looked at her.
Her cold gaze welcoming him.
"You idiot! I'll make you pay!"
