Creating A Succubus Army In A Fantasy World!-Chapter 70: Good News!
Chapter 70: Good News!
Creed groaned as he cracked open his eyes, only to immediately regret it as a dull, aching soreness washed over his entire body.
He winced, shifting slightly in bed, but even that tiny movement sent sharp protests through his muscles.
His arms felt like they had been used as punching bags, his legs were heavy like lead, and his back—oh, his poor back.
It felt like he had gone ten wrestling rounds with a stage 5 gorilla!
"I literally almost died before even entering the unexplored rift..." Creed grumbled internally as he slowly, painfully pushed himself up.
His joints creaked in protest, and he could swear he felt phantom pains from last night’s... session.
He had no proof, but it really felt like Lilith and Tierra had gone out of their way to make sure he was extra drained as some sort of petty revenge for their loss.
Wasn’t he supposed to be the master here?! Yet somehow, his own summons had turned the tables on him and left him feeling like a half-dead battery!
He let out a long sigh and rubbed his face, then glanced around his apartment. At least that was a sight for sore eyes.
Everything looked just as beautiful and sleek as always; the clean, minimalist design, the soft glow of the smart lighting, the cool, refreshing air filtering through the vents.
It was moments like these that made him feel a little happy despite everything. No matter how crazy things got, at least he had a decent place to live.
Dragging himself out of bed with the energy of an elderly man, Creed shuffled toward the kitchen and began preparing something simple; just a sandwich.
Nothing fancy. He slapped some ham and cheese between two slices of bread, added a little sauce for good measure, and took a bite.
It wasn’t much, but it was enough to fill his stomach.
As he chewed, he found himself thinking about the past month.
Ever since he arrived in this new world, his life had been one insane event after another.
From awakening his SSS-rank Primordial Summoning talent, to being thrown into life-threatening fights against beasts and a curse, to clearing dangerous rifts and facing tribulations, it had been a wild ride.
But, despite everything, the last three weeks had been his most peaceful time yet.
Sure, he was constantly training and preparing for the next big challenge, but at least he hadn’t been thrown into some intense life-or-death situation again.
It had given him a much-needed break to reinforce his mental state and recover from his streak of absolutely ridiculous bad luck.
And, if he was being honest, there were other perks to his new life. Like the fact that he had a very sexy neighbor.
He didn’t even know her name. He had only seen her three times since moving in.
She was rarely home, always coming and going at odd hours, but every time he caught a glimpse of her, it was like the universe was blessing him with a rare event.
Tall, gorgeous, effortlessly elegant. The kind of woman who looked like she belonged in a high-end commercial rather than an apartment complex.
Creed had no clue what she did for a living, but given the insane aura she carried, he had a strong suspicion that she was way stronger than him.
Which, honestly, was just unfair.
His thoughts were cut short by a sudden chime from his phone. He picked it up and glanced at the screen.
[Fiona]: Meet at Bastion Gate in 3 hours. Don’t be late.]
Creed felt a surge of excitement despite himself. The unexplored rift. It was finally happening!
Sure, it was stupidly dangerous, and there was a very real chance of horrible things happening, but at the same time, this was exactly what he needed.
A chance to gain more power, more resources, and most importantly, more profit.
He had already sunk a million credits into getting a spot in this expedition, so he had to make it worth it!
With that thought in mind, he quickly finished his sandwich and got dressed. He had done everything he could to prepare for this rift.
His strength had skyrocketed over the past three weeks, his techniques had improved drastically, and his summons were getting stronger by the day.
Now, all that was left was to go in and make sure he came out alive and with enough gains to make all the effort worth it!
Two hours later, Creed stepped out of his apartment, looking fresh in a simple blue hoodie, well-fitted blue jeans, and neat blue sneakers.
He had managed to make a decent amount of credits from his recent rift-clearing operations with the Frost Valkyries, enough to cover most of his basic needs like food, clothing, and even some extra gear.
He wasn’t rolling in wealth in the slightest, but at least he wasn’t extremely broke anymore.
Pulling out his phone, he quickly booked a shuttle. Within five minutes, a sleek, automated transport vehicle pulled up in front of him.
He hopped in, gave the destination confirmation, and leaned back as the shuttle smoothly took off toward the Bastion Gate.
The ride took about twenty minutes, the bastion skyline passing by in a blur as the automated vehicle navigated through the busy streets.
He could see the towering walls of the Bastion Gate approaching in the distance, a stark reminder of the massive barrier that separated the safe zones from the wild, untamed lands beyond.
As soon as the shuttle stopped, Creed stepped out, stretching slightly, only to be immediately interrupted by a ding from his system.
[Ding! Congratulations! Your summon, Lilith, has broken through to Stage 2!]
Creed blinked. Wait, what?!
His eyebrows shot up in pleasant surprise as he read the system notification again.
Lilith had actually broken through to Stage 2? That was way faster than he expected!
He had assumed that, since she faced a tribulation when she first reached Stage 1, she would have to face another every time she advanced.
But apparently, tribulations only occurred for major breakthroughs, like stepping into an entirely new stage of power.
That meant smaller advancements within a stage, like this one, wouldn’t summon some world-ending lightning storm to smite her out of existence!
That was fantastic news!
It meant his strongest summon had just undergone a massive increase in power without the risk of being obliterated by heavenly punishment.
And that also meant his own chances of survival had just skyrocketed.
If Lilith was anything like before, but stronger, then she was now way beyond her previous self in every aspect.
With her upgraded strength, his combat potential had risen again, which was exactly what he needed before entering the unexplored rift.
The place was bound to be filled with horrors, monstrosities, and terrifying unknowns, but at least now he had a better chance of making it out alive.
Before he could process it all, another notification popped up in his vision.
[Ding! Due to your summon Lilith’s breakthrough, you have received 20 Primordial Essence and 20 Free Stat Points!]
Creed’s grin widened. This day just kept getting better and better!
Without hesitation, he instantly distributed the points in a way that made the most sense for his growth.
Strength: +9 (42 → 51)
Speed: +2 (49 → 51)
Constitution: +9 (31 → 40)
Boom!
The moment he confirmed his allocation, a low, resounding boom echoed from within his body, almost like the deep, thunderous rumble of a war drum.
His muscles contracted violently, his bones groaned under the sudden surge of power, and an overwhelming heat flooded his veins.
It was like his entire body was being reforged from the inside out!
The sudden transformation was so intense that he staggered backward, barely managing to grab onto a chair beside him to keep from collapsing.
His breathing turned rough, his skin tingled with the electrifying sensation of raw strength settling into his limbs, and his vision briefly blurred from the sheer overload of power his body was forced to process all at once.
For ten long, agonizing minutes, he remained there, gripping the chair for support, waiting for his body to stop feeling like it was on the verge of imploding.
But then—just as suddenly as it had started—the intense discomfort began to fade.
His breathing steadied, his vision cleared, and the overwhelming heat in his muscles cooled into something familiar, something that now felt natural.
Power!
Creed clenched his fist and marveled at the raw power flowing through him. He wasn’t just stronger, he had reached a completely different level!
With 51 Strength and 51 Speed, he now had the raw physical stats of a Stage 3 combatant!
And the craziest part? The difference between 50 points and 51 points wasn’t just one measly point; it was a qualitative leap in power!
Breaking past 50 wasn’t an increase alone. It was an evolution.
His muscle fibers had strengthened to a whole new tier, his reflexes had sharpened far beyond human limits, and his explosive movements would now match or even exceed most natural Stage 3 powerhouses!
His grin widened. This was huge. Not only had his strongest summon leveled up, but his own body had just undergone a massive transformation, pushing his survivability even higher.
The good news just kept getting better!
Taking a deep breath, he rolled his shoulders and straightened up. Time to move.
He strode towards the Bastion Gate, his steps light despite the weight of his newfound power.
The moment he arrived, his eyes landed on Fiona, and right beside her, the infamous red-haired twins.
The moment Creed laid eyes on Kent, he froze.
It wasn’t because the guy was standing there, glaring at him like he wanted to rip his throat out. No, it was because of the sheer pressure radiating from his body.
Kent’s aura was monstrous. It was bloodthirsty, violent, and utterly suffocating, like a beast barely suppressing the urge to go on a rampage.
Creed could feel the raw killing intent rolling off him in waves, coiling around his frame like an unseen predator ready to pounce.
It was so intense that a weaker person probably would’ve collapsed just from standing too close!
But Creed?
He didn’t react.
He kept his expression calm, his posture relaxed, as if he wasn’t feeling the equivalent of a bloodthirsty warlord breathing down his neck.
He wasn’t about to give Kent the satisfaction of a reaction.
Beside Kent, Trent looked much less intimidating.
He gave a small, almost timid wave, clearly less interested in the whole glaring contest his brother was trying to start.
Creed spared him a glance but ultimately ignored them both and focused solely on Fiona.
She greeted him with a simple nod. "Are you set?"
Creed nodded back. "Yeah."
Without any unnecessary words, Fiona turned on her heel and gestured for them to follow. "Then let’s move."
The four of them strode toward the massive exit gates of the Bastion.
Creed had expected a long and tedious registration process before they were allowed outside the city’s protective barriers, but to his surprise, they passed through security in record time.
Apparently, Fiona had some kind of high-level clearance that let them bypass the usual waiting lines and inspections.
Before he knew it, they were stepping beyond the Bastion walls and into the dangerous, untamed wilds beyond.
The exploration was soon going to begin!
