Chapter 143: Chapter 143

A few minutes later, the other four appeared at the restaurant.

"Ah, I thought that you were going to be lat,e and I was thinking of getting food without you", Aaron commented when he saw the other four.

"We were not late. It is you who has arrived before", Erika retorted.

To that, Aaron just smiled and said nothing.

"Okay, let’s go in, I am hungry", Diana said, and all five went inside.

Seeing the youngsters coming in, a waiter approached them and asked, "Welcome to the Happy Restaurant. Do you have reservations or a walk-in?"

"We don’t have any reservations, but do you have any private rooms?" Erika asked the waiter.

"Yes, young miss. There are currently two vacancies at the moment. One offers a view of the city and the other doesn’t", the waiter replied.

"Hmm, we want the one with a view of the city", Erika chose the room.

"Okay, miss, please follow me", the waiter took the five to a private room, where they ordered what they wanted to eat.

The waiter took the order and left them to bring the food.

"So, did you find anything useful?" Aaron asked the others, but before they answered, he knew that they would feel uneasy to spill their secrets just like him, "No need to be specific, as long as it was useful, yes or no is suffcient. As a matter of fact, I did find something useful for me".

The others relaxed a bit and answered that they did find some items that were useful to them. Slowly, the group started to talk about the places that they went to during the time.

Bang!

"What the fuck?" all the five yelled as they were disturbed by the sudden sound.

The closed door was open, and there were ten young and arrogant boys standing at the door. Of course, only one of them was the leader, and he was easily recognisable among them, because of his posture, which spoke of arrogance.

"This is my room. Go find another room or get out of here", the leading boy spoke.

The staff ran to the room when they heard the loud door bang. This included the manager who was behind them and knew there would be a problem as soon as he saw the gang enter the restaurant, but there was nothing a mere manager like him could do.

Erika fumed when she saw the arrogant fools who barged into a private dinner. No matter who the other party is, one can’t barge in, even if the one barging in is the owner of the place. It was common sense.

"Brat, do you know who we are?" Erika rose in anger, slamming on the table.

"A bunch of country bumpkins who needed to be taught lessons on how to address when they see their superiors", one of them retorted in a sarcastic manner.

No matter the world or time, someone who is rich and powerful would look down on others. This is true especially for the young generation whose parents are the rich and powerful. They believe that they are at the top and everyone should bow before them.

Only when they poke a hornet’s nest would they learn a lesson on humility.

"Hmm, we are bumpkins, huh?" Erika released a bit of her pressure. Though she was way behind Aaron, she was a genuine Rank-2 professional, which made all the young men kneel at the door.

They looked similar in age to the five, but they had yet to awaken. So, the pressure from a Rank-2 is more than enough to make them suffocate, "If we the students of Dusk Academy are bumpkins, then what are you?"

"Tell me which house you belong to. I would personally go and ask your families if they feel that they are above Dusk Academy", she said, which made the young men worry and almost piss.

Though they had never been to the Dusk Academy, they knew that it was in the top five academies.

The manager, who saw that the situation might become worse, ran towards the five, "Young miss, please let them go. If something happens to them, I can’t live in the city. I have a family to feed", he begged.

Though the manager seemed biased, what can a mere manager like him do?

If the group had left without causing any ruckus, he could have compensated them with free food or coupons that they could use later on, but the situation appeared to be different. So, he could only beg.

"Erika, let them go. It’s best to concentrate on why we are here", Aaron spoke, but he turned to the manager, "but that doesn’t happen without proper compensation".

Though Aaron was not interested in escalating things, he wouldn’t sit down and take the abuse from others.

The manager agreed to give them all the food that they could eat for free, and Erika, hearing the meaning of Aaron’s words, let them go. Once she released the pressure, the boys scrambled away.

The situation didn’t escalate much, but the boy was trouble. One look at him, it was easy to say that. He lost his face in front of his gang, and if there was a chance to make us pay, he would, but for now, he won’t be a problem.

They had our lunch peacefully afterwards, filling their stomachs to the brim, without any more disturbances. After lunch, they decided to return to the hotel, and that’s what they did.

---

The two days of their stay went without much problem, excpet for that incident with that young master the previous day. Though Aaron encountered some arrogant young masters when he went outside, they were just minor disputes, nothing more.

As long as he can show the world how strong he is, not many would come and look for trouble with him, but there are a few who might act. Though that was the case and he knew about this, there is nothing he could do.

The rewards that he would get from the Alliance and the Academy after the tournament are not something that he could miss out on.

He has already warned his parents regarding this and sent them some extra alliance credits, which he exchanged at the academy, so that they would hire some powerful bodyguards, who would watch them 24x7.

Money doesn’t matter, but lives does. So, he sold everything that can be sold without rising any issues, and converted every Dusk Credit he had to Alliance Credit, before sending them to his parents.

Only if they are safe can he concentrate on himself and grow without worry as soon as possible. After he was strong enough, there would not be much to worry about their safety. He can personally protect them most of the time and make sure that they would become strong enough to protect themselves in most scenarios.

That was his plan, but since he lacked resources for himself, he couldn’t invest in his parents and has to hire outsiders to protect them.

For anyone, personal strength is the most important factor.

No matter how many guards you have, it would take only one slip up for the danger to surround you. So, to gurantee maximum protection and survival rate, its best to improve oneself rather than depend on the others.

This is why, Aaron has plans to improve his parents strength, once he has strength enough to do so. Till then, the protection of his parents would depend on outsiders, which he though doesn’t like, had to accept with no other choice.

---

In these two days, as the five days before, he couldn’t level up but just use FSPs to improve some of his attributes. That was all. Except for the new skill that he obtained the previous day, which added a bit more WIS to his panel and thereby increasing his Mana pool, no other changes happened.
