Chapter 99: Chapter 99

Aaron entered the second trial, which he completed in four hours. It was no different than the first one, except that he had to kill all the monsters in the trial place.

Unlike what he experienced in the first trial, there were no peaceful monsters there. So, the only way for him to complete the trial was by killing all the monsters, which he did.

After completing the second trial, he took half an hour of rest before attempting the third trial. After completing the third trial, he rested for a bit as usual and went for the fourth trial, which he completed.

For completing the second trial, he was rewarded with High-grade Skill Point Stone, while the third trial yielded him High-grade Skill Rank Stone. The reward for completing the fourth trial was a general skill, Insights.

Skill Point and Skill Rank stones were not that useful for Aaron, as he has a 100x SPs perk, but he can sell them and earn millions of Alliance Credits.

He can’t sell them in the academy, as they would easily find out if he had ever entered a dungeon that drops these. So, he would get into trouble if he sold them in the academy, but outside, he can sell them without any issue.

If they were auctioned at the right place and right time, they would go for tens of millions.

To the rich, wealth doesn’t matter, only strength does. Without strength, they can’t sustain the wealth, and that was something they understood well. So, if given a chance, they would always choose the resources rather than the credits.

"No, these two may not be useful for me, but for my parents, they are very useful. These would make their lives even better than now", Aaron decided that these two would only see light when he met his parents again.

He could sell them outside of the academy, but once the news of these items appeared, a few would be certain to inquire about the seller.

These two items are very useful, and no one would be willing to sell them normally. There could be only two reasons why they could be sold.

One, it’s that the seller was looking for something else and needed money to buy it.

Second, the seller has more of these items.

Either case could attract some greedy eyes, and if they find out that the person who was selling these items was just Rank-2, then they won’t hold back. So, it’s best to use these items internally, which is a safer option and at the same time improves internal strength.

His parents, being cooks, would have a slow level up, making it difficult for them to earn SPs to improve their skills. If they use these stones, then their skill ranks would increase, which would increase their level-up speed.

This would make it easier to earn SPs, which can be used to rank up other skills. The cycle repeats. In this way, they can increase their strength too.

This is one way of protecting them from dangers. So, Aaron decided to save these two for his parents.

---

The fourth reward was a skill, Insights. When he read the name, he had a feeling of what it could do, but to be sure, he checked the description.

--

Insights: Everything can be understood. The higher the rank of the skill and Perception value, the better the skill power.

--

"This is a good skill", Aaron muttered when he saw the description of the skill.

Insights are very useful in almost all situations, whether in a battle or when searching for something. Though it is just a support skill, with so many fields of use, this was something he wouldn’t let go of.

Aaron immediately learned the skill.

Though there was a problem with the skill, he still learned it.

The problem was that it had a connection with the Perception Attribute, which is a hidden attribute.

Hidden attributes are not shown on the panel. So, no one would have any idea what their values are. It was said that there are ways to make them appear, but these methods are rare and are very costly.

Not everyone can afford them. Also, they are not publicised either. So, not everyone has any idea about these ways.

Studying at a top academy, one would sooner or later learn about these methods early on. Whether they can make use of these methods or not ultimately depends on the students.

If they can, then their growth would surely differ from others.

Hidden attributes are different from Special attributes, which are not easy to improve.

Though hidden attributes are difficult than normal attributes, they are still the realm of possibility of improvement for most, unlike special attributes, which require a lot to improve.

So, as long as one unlocks these hidden attributes, they can make the best use of them to improve themselves at a faster rate.

---

It almost took him twenty hours to complete the first four trials, including the resting time. Now, there was only the fifth trial, but the time to exit the ruins is nearing. If he delays, he might get stuck here.

From the moment he entered the white room, he has been counting. He has only a few hours before the exit portals appear, and he has to exit the ruins.

"There is still some time. If I leave the white room, I can’t return here, and that means I can’t see what the fifth trial is about and what the rewards are. Though the trials increased in difficulty, Senior did say that the fifth trial would be slightly different but similar. So, it may not take much time, I hope".

"If it takes, I can forfeit the trial and leave, but I need to get the rewards at the end of the trial. The rewards for the four trials are good. I got two skills and two stones that can help improve skill ranks. These items are very difficult to find outside".

"If the first four rewards are like this, then the fifth trial reward should be at least similar, if not better. These four rewards would go for millions of credits outside, and if the fifth reward was better, then even hundreds of millions may be possible".

"The rewards would be very good and can help me a lot better, and if they are not useful, I can sell them for good money one day. So, there is no way that I am going to miss out on such a reward".

"Fifth trial, here I come".

Aaron made a decision and entered the fifth door, intending to take the fifth and final trial before leaving the ruins.
