“Why are you looking at me?” Embarrassed by his gaze, Cherish asked.
He simply reached out and touched her cheek, close at hand.
“Why did you come so early?” When William asked her this, he always looked particularly gentle. His warm fingertips touched her cheek, and a faint emotional connection emerged that couldn’t be closed off.
“Um… Well, I have a kind heart. Seeing you like that last night, I naturally couldn’t help but worry, so I came to check on you!” Cherish replied perfunctorily, then backed away a bit. Being around him, she always felt danger, but she couldn’t help but get closer.
At this moment, Cherish only wanted to find his smartphone and didn’t pay much attention to William’s expression.
Suddenly, she saw his smartphone in the pocket of his hospital gown, its round edge exposed. This sight excited Cherish.
Finally found it!
William saw everything clearly. When this girl’s eyes spotted his smartphone, she was so excited.
In the early morning, he tossed and turned restlessly, his mind filled with thoughts of her. It was as if they had a telepathic connection when a message came through.
When William opened it, it felt like the world had lit up.
It was probably a mistake on her part, but even so, he couldn’t help but smile.
The pain was no longer painful.
“William, can I borrow your phone? I forgot mine when I left…”
Hehe, someone’s little trick is really lame!
“You can take it yourself.” William pretended not to see her cunning plan and lay down, closing his eyes.
The phone was in his waist pocket. To get it, she had to lift the blanket and reach in.
Cherish felt a little embarrassed, but this was a golden opportunity. If she didn’t act quickly, he might find the message himself when checking his phone, and that would be so awkward.
Reaching out, she gently pulled open the blanket, and Cherish’s little paw started reaching for his hospital gown.
William opened his eyes and watched her. She was entirely focused on his phone and didn’t notice him looking at her.
As she took out the smartphone, William reached out and pulled her whole body into his arms. Cherish’s hand loosened, and the phone fell directly onto the bed.
“Ah!” Startled, she crashed into his chest. As their eyes met, William moved even closer and forcefully kissed her!
This kiss was not gentle like before; it was aggressive!
A sick man with a pale face and long, clean fingers looked weak, but his strength was astonishingly powerful.
Then he released her, leaving a bewildered Cherish staring at him.
The two stayed like that for a short while, and then William suddenly got up, brought his lips to Cherish’s, and, holding her waist, kissed her lips gently, skimming the surface like a dragonfly.
The sound of him nibbling at her lips was clear in the quiet hospital room.
William’s eyes were fixed on Cherish, probing into her heart.
And Cherish did not refuse.
She didn’t push him away. In her resistance and acceptance, she was halfhearted.
Now, her sleepless night last night made a bit more sense.
For William, this was undoubtedly an invitation.
He didn’t want to be a substitute for Daniel Peacock. What he wanted had always been pure!
