"Hello, this is..." Uriel spoke to the camera with a dejected look on his face, then stopped to let out a long sigh. Medusa and Luna by his side looked just as depressed as he did and remained silent. After what they witnessed they couldn't help but feel distraught and pessimistic about their circumstances, in spites of surviving a cataclysmic event that most hunters wouldn't dream of overcoming.

Talking to the camera felt pointless, but Uriel's habit of recording whatever he deemed important was stronger than his emotional state. It was his duty as an archaeologist and it also could potentially increase their chances of surviving inside the dungeon which is why he decided to give it one more chance.

"This is Uriel's Sage private Vlog," He started over after shaking his head. "Today we saw first hand a fight between two holy rank hunters and a titan rank cryptid. I... I have no words to describe what went down..."

"They've been like this for an hour... What do you think happened to them?" Miss Dragonfang asked Phlox, who instead of replying disappeared leaving a neon trail of light behind her and returned a minute carrying a quite shocked Emma.

"Wha..." Emma tried to ask after being placed on the ground. Her hair was disheveled and her eyes clothes disarranged, but after a quick scan of their surroundings she realized what was going on and after composing herself she walked directly towards Uriel.

"Howdy, My name is Emma Sage and I'll be hosting today's interview. Before anyone asks if I'm related to Mister Uriel Sage by my side," She took a glance at Uriel whose eyes were wide in surprise. "We're brothers! Yes, he's my big brother."

"I-I..." Uriel stuttered as he blinked multiple times trying to make sense of the situation.

"Now, Mister Sage, err... I mean, big bro, any interesting discoveries in the field of archaeology?" Even though Emma's looks were nothing special, even when compared to other ascended, she acted all charming and professional in front of the camera which showed how seriously she took it.

"Yes, we have many discoveries. We discovered that the lost city to the east of Texas our own megacity, was called Lafayette before the arrival and that the megacity further east from that is... was called Louisiana. Unfortunately, that city fell victim to a flood apparently caused by the titan cryptid."

"Wow! That's very interesting, the fact that our megacity survived when others fell really shows how strong we are, doesn't it?" Emma tried shifting Uriel's depressing line of thought into a more optimistic one and then continued pretending to be clueless. "Wait a minute, why are you talking about other megacities as if they're some archaeological remains?"

"Come on, Emma, I've talked about this a million times."

"Just play along..." She whispered.

"Fine... The event known as 'the arrival' is considered to be the most destructive and harmful towards human civilization, but this is actually incorrect. Humanity has faced glaciation, nuclear winter caused by volcanic eruptions, plagues and even the universal deluge. In each occasion we've somehow managed to survive and this is no different.

We are transitioning onto a new era by walking on the edge of the knife right now."

"Let me get this straight, you're saying that our former cities are remains of a past era?"

"Precisely," Uriel nodded and then continued his explanation with more passion in his eyes. "Even megacities will most likely become obsolete, at least in the way we knew them. They were all we knew and allowed us to survive this far, but dungeons are way more advanced and could be a safe haven for the entire human race.

They have protective barriers, their own FOD that won't disrupt our electronic devices but protect them from external influences, batteries, power generators..."

Uriel continued on his rant as the coals of her passion were stoked by Emma's interest on the subject. He presented all the possible benefits of inhabiting the dungeons as though trying to convince Emma it was the only way for humanity to endure what he called the 'transition' to a new era stage.

"Uhm... We also learned quite a few things about cryptids..." Luna spoke shyly poking out from behind Uriel's back.

"Oh! Isn't this the well renowned Luna, top of the medicine faculty of our college!? Please, Miss Luna, would you share your discoveries with us?" Emma spoke cheerfully and loudly, managing to scare the tiny huntress.

"Uhm... uhm..." She stuttered and tripped over her tongue a few times, all the while Emma remained immobile as though trying not to startle a deer. "According to our archaeologist, the horreor level cryptid was in possession of certain artifacts that proved it formed part of human society at some point.

I also confirmed that the horror level skinwalker was, at some point in its life, a native American woman. Wether the same holds true for the horror level wendigo, it remains a mystery by the time being, but we're already making arrangements to study it."

"For the love of Troy! I've told you many times I'm not going to hunt that thing! The entity level wendigos are bothersome enough, I don't want to get near the horror level." Uriel blurted out.

"We are uhm... still adjusting some details. All the new cryptids we encountered possessed remarkable features I would love to display," Luna said as she pointed at one of the drawings on her notepad, then continued speaking. "But I think it's best if we stick to the basics.

Wendigos have incredible regenerative abilities, even greater than any cryptid we've encountered so far, which is only matched by their extremely fast metabolism. To keep up with the regeneration, they need to constantly consume human flesh and their bodies are in a permanent state of starvation. Vampires drink blood for pretty much the same reason, but their metabolism is way slower.

About skinwalkers... uhm... mimicking humans is an ability they call 'wearing a skinsuit', it allows them to copy even traits, but in order to do so they need to consume the skin of the victim."

"That was a pretty good explanation, but..." Emma attempted to cut Luna's explanation short, but she completely disregarded her polite attempts to change the subject. She continued rambling about cryptids for a few minutes, until she eventually forgot about the camera and simply started talking to herself.

"Is it my turn now?" Medusa asked.

"Of course! This, fellows, is none other than Medusa! She's the top of the engineering course with many achievements to back her reputation, such as the construction of a zeppelin from scratch!" Emma said excitedly.

"Yes, but I can't say I did all the work myself. I had the help of many wonderful people, I'm just the responsible for the design and..." While Medusa went in length about the process of building the Pegasus, Emma took the chance to readjust the camera since, because of her blindfold, Medusa was talking to a random direction instead of the camera.

"That is so interesting! What can you tell us about the Pegasus offensive capabilities?"

"Well, after we got stranded in the wetlands I figured I needed to add some weapons to act as deterrent for single cryptids or as crowd control for hordes, but I can't speak about them because they're secret." Medusa finished by letting out a chuckle.

"And now..." Emma started speaking, but Medusa interrupted her.

"Excuse me, there's something else I'd like to mention if that's okay with you."

"Sure, what is it about?"

"I won't claim to be the one who discovered this since it was a conjoined effort between Luna, Nika and myself, but I can't let this opportunity pass. While crafting a certain orichalcum weapon, we figured a way to permanently infuse it with our own flux energy."

"I thought that was part of the standard crafting process..."

"No, currently, orichalcum weapons were produced with minimal human intervention in a very mechanized process which sometimes created some extraordinary weapons, though the cause of this phenomenon was unknown.

Now we learned that, in a certain part of the process, they can be infused by the flux energy being channeled by nearby hunters which explains why some weapons had incredible effects while others didn't."

"This is beyond remarkable! It can truly make a difference in the war against cryptids!"

"I know!" Medusa nodded sharing Emma's enthusiasm.

"Now there's only one question in the air... I know this will be a tough one and feel free to remain silent but, what about the Fallen corporation? What about your friend?"

"What about him?" Asked Medusa, seemingly confused.

"What are your plans regarding Sam the Lightbringer?" Emma finally asked the question that motivated her to play her part in the impromptu interview.

"We haven't discussed this as of yet..." Uriel started speaking but he was cut short by Medusa.

"Nothing has changed, we are definitely going to bring him back! He's our friend and we are never going to give up on him."
