After whispering that into the ears of Green Dagger, Axel threw him outside of the circle. The bastard was eliminated. He looked towards the ones that were left. He could tell some of them were from a commoner's background. But that didn't matter; no more words were needed.

They resumed the fight. Viper, alongside a few more archers, continued to fire arrows. While crow and melee fighters fought with him head-on, Axel wasn't in good shape either. He was already badly injured. He tried to enter the flow state again, but he wasn't able to, unfortunately.

Brute forcing his way through everyone wouldn't work here. Eventually, those attacking from long range had no choice but to join in the melee fight. He was surprised by how skilled Viper was at close combat. Crow and Viper were among the most skilled ones. There were a few others as well.

As the fight continued, fewer than 20 people remained at one point. Axel cursed internally, 'If it wasn't for the fact that everyone was ganging up on him. He could have easily been the last one to be standing.'

Axel bent his knees on the ground; the demon bloodline in him made him stronger, the more injured he became, to a certain extent. But there was a limit to it, and after the time limit, he would be extremely weakened.

Axel was looking towards the sky, his entire body was covered in blood from head to toe. He was gasping for breath, he felt extremely weak, and his heart was pounding like a car engine. Axel was beyond tired, barely keeping his eyes open.

17 contestants remaining in his circle, all were pointing their weapons right towards Axel's head in a circle. He was cornered, exhausted, and defeated. There was no other way left.

A sense of profound defeat swallowed him from within; a part of him really wanted to win against all 99 of them alone, but perhaps he was too arrogant. This was the price of baseless arrogance that he had to pay.

But his adversaries did not throw him out instantly. Their gazes held ruthlessness; none of them was in a good state either. Indicating it wasn't easy for them to corner Salazar as well. Axel sighed disappointingly towards himself and whispered, "I admit defeat."

The moment he said so, a transparent energy barrier surrounded him as he began to float. He let his tired body and mind rest as he heard the words of the crow, "Be proud, Salazar. You're strong."

He smiled and lost consciousness. But the fight between the remaining ones continued, and the audience continued to cheer one name and one name only.

Axel was in a very bad state. The authorities took him to a secure room. The head examiner personally came, normal potions weren't working on Axel.

He brought out a very expensive potion, and all those around gasped in surprise, seeing such an expensive potion being used on someone who wasn't even a Seeker, yet it made everyone surprised.

After feeding Axel that potion, his complexion returned to normal. Axel only woke up the next day. There were various rooms on the walls of the Margrave Colosseum. It wasn't hard for the authorities to make accommodations for the close to 1900 contestants for the night.

The next day, at noon. Everyone was gathered in the arena. It was time to announce the results of the competition: those who would be attending the 'Unified Human Academy', the ones in the top 250, with all the test evaluations combined. And those that are not in the rankings shall be going back.

The evaluations are made by the examiner's group collectively, and some of them would also be the teachers in the academy. They are an autonomous group under the supervision of the academy. None of the three great kingdoms has any hold over the operations of the academy. It's almost akin to an independent force. So, none of the three forces within the Suncrest kingdom could influence them in any way.

Even the 50 spots that are reserved for the highest class of people in each great kingdom should be allocated to worthy descendants. This forces them to have their heirs trained from a very young age. That is why Axel was continuously warned about those from the high nobility, top merchants, and royals. No one from those forces is weak.

Examiner Gareth flew in the air. He snapped his fingers, and everyone became quiet. The audience, contestants, and even those in the VIP room focused their attentions on him. He waved his hand, and white energy shot out of him; a large white flat structure appeared in the sky.

Examiner Gareth started speaking loudly, "I will provide the codenames of those that made it to the top 250 by the rankings from last."

"Listen carefully, I will not announce one name a second time. Those that are not in the rankings now get out. But do not fret, you have done well by holding on to this far," added Gareth.

All those contestants who did not make it to the top 250 were notified by their masks as the masks started to glow red. Many of them fell to their knees in despair, some could not believe that they did not make it when they were sure that they would. Others couldn't accept it and started complaining. Some simply had disappointed expressions beneath their mask but accepted the truth with some reluctance.

Some already knew that they would not make it, and they started leaving immediately. Interestingly, many of the eliminated ones remained happy after all, it wasn't easy to get into the top 1900 in the first place. Not to mention those who participated in the whole competition, even if they did not make it, would be offered good positions. They're futures would still be quite bright and exceptional.

Now they needed to join various organizations that would help them break through to become a Seeker. As for those who have been in the top 250, most of them remained expressionless, but a small fraction were overflowing with happiness. It wasn't hard to understand that those few were commoners. The expressionless ones were waiting for the ranking to be revealed.

They were groomed to be able to easily get into the academy without too many problems. Their main target was to be within a certain ranking.

Anyone managing to get into the academy is at the top of the crop. Destined to be leaders and powerhouses of the next generation without exception. Axel's eyes remained fixed on the whiteboard. After the entire list was revealed, he had a conflicted expression on his face beneath the mask. In the fight against the Orc Viper and Crow tried to steal his kill, but he didn't like that, but he couldn't hold it against them.

But the two of them also helped in the middle of the circle fight by helping him eliminate Green Dagger.
