"oh, why didn’t you marry? Or get a girlfriend?" Qin Zhuzhu didn’t saw the flash of emotions in Li Shao’s eyes.

"I regretted not pursuing my first crush back then. Until now, I can’t stop thinking about her," he confessed to her. Since Qin Zhuzhu didn’t know that the one he was talking about was her, then it was okay to reveal a little.

It felt better to talk to someone about his bottled up feelings for the past twelve years. Especially when that person is the one who he can’t stop thinking about.

"Fighting! You can do! If she’s still single, maybe she’ll give you a chance," Qin Zhuzhu picked up the heavy box and headed to the door.

"Let me carry that for you," Li Shao took the box from her. "Do you really think so? This girl.... She has an ex husband whom she loves very much and a fiancé.... who’s left the world,"

Li Shao looked at Yu Lei and then at Qin Zhuzhu. Yu Lei and Jingmin noticed then he was unwilling to be see out with them.

"What’s wrong?" She asked when no one made a move.

Seeing their CEO having troubles of the heart, Yu Lei and Jingmin decided to give them a push.

"Team leader, I’m very busy, you see. How about you see Mr Li out?" Yu Lei suggested with his eyebrows.

"Yes, yes. I’m very busy too," Jingmin quickly moved away to Yu Lei’s side. Suddenly everyone became very busy. What was going on? Qin Zhuzhu scratched her head.

"Since everyone is busy, then I’ll walk you out,"

When Li Shao and Qin Zhuzhu left towards the door, the entire team members broke out into gossips and giggles again.

"Did you see that? The CEO wants Miss Qin to personally see him off. That’s like those CEOs on online novelkisss platforms!"

"Oh my, they looked perfect together!"

"Hey, she’s coming back!"

They quickly scooted back to their seats. Qin Zhuzhu eyed them, already guessing what they were up to.

Li Shao walked back to his office, whistling happily. The other directors and managers were surprised. The CEO had never whistled before. What was going on? Another round of gossip spreaded through the office.

Sister Liu knocked on the door, holding a stack of files against her chest.

"Sir, Mr Lu is on the way,"

"Good," Li Shao thought about something. Every time he saw Bai Qianhua with Qin Zhuzhu, he could feel the hostility between them.

The way Qin Zhuzhu looked at Bai Qianhua was with disdain. What happened between them? It couldn’t be simple as just rumours.

"Manager Liu, uh... Bai Qianhua and Qin Zhuzhu... Do you know what’s going on between them? I sensed something is wrong, like rivals,"

"Sir, you may not know it but everyone here knows that Bai Qianhua is Xu Meng’s fiancée, Miss Qin’s ex husband," Sister Liu replied. She was more than happy to tell all the bad stuffs about Bai Qianhua to Li Shao.

"Bai Qianhua is Xu Meng’s fiancée?" Li Shao was surprised. He didn’t know of this connection as he didn’t use the internet much.

"She is. You don’t know that? Everyone here knows it,"

No wonder the strong enemity! Maybe next time he shouldn’t put them together in case it might lead to disaster.

It was midnight when Bai Qianhua massaged her shoulders. She had been brainstorming her wedding dress design with her teammates. She happened to walk passed Qin Zhuzhu’s office. Since she was here, don’t she take a look and see how these losers are doing? She peered through the glass window. The office was quite dark.

She was curious about their progress. Since they were sleeping soundly, then they would not notice her.

Bai Qianhua walked in quietly, careful to avoid stepping on toes, and went over to the table where a large roll of paper laid across the table.

One look and her eyes widened! This design was simply too stunning! Anger filled her senses as Bai Qianhua clenched her fists. The more she looked, the more she compared it with her own.

She and her team members had already completed their design. But Qin Zhuzhu’s design was really exquisite like jade, ethereal like the nine heavens, stunning and breathtaking.

Her first thought was to destroy the design, steal the paper and burn it. But then on second thoughts, she had something better in mind.

She took out her phone and took a few pictures. Then she quickly left before anyone sees her.

It was in the middle of the night when Qin Zhuzhu yawned, rubbed her eyes and surveyed her surroundings. She had fallen asleep with her team members who were lying on the couch and some rested their heads on the table.

Qin Zhuzhu completed the final design by herself, perfecting everything. Her team had worked hard and pushed their limits, so she didn’t wake them up.

She woke the team members up and told them to go home. One by one, the sleepy ’losers’ bid her farewell and headed home.

Qin Zhuzhu called two taxis to take them back home. It was passed twelve when she finally got off work.
