Fake Marriage To The Richest Tycoon-Chapter 308 - 307: Call me an idiot or a fool
Chapter 308: Chapter 307: Call me an idiot or a fool
"I understand. Don’t worry, no matter what, I’ll protect and take care of her," Shentu Jing said solemnly.
"You better keep your word," Sanya, satisfied with his answer, stood up and left.
His peach blossom eyes closed shut for a few minutes. The time passed by, the clock ticked, people went back and forth. Finally, he opened his eyes, a fierce determined look in his dark pupils.
Currently, there was no need to take back the shares from Shentu Chu. Eventually, Shentu Chu will be kicked out of the company by the board of directors because of what he was doing. Shentu Chu acted like he cared about power and money yet he was doing the opposite of it all.
"Shentu Chu, what exactly is your end goal? Why are you hurting your own family? What do you meant by Mingye and Ning Ning owed you a life? Whose life is it?"
A knife hit the center of the dart board, a perfect hit. Shentu Jing flung another knife at the board.
Han Juexian walked into the training room with Ding Yu behind. The boss had been training for hours nonstop after coming back from seeing lady boss.
"Boss," Han Juexian interrupted him. "We cannot find any tracks of Shentu Chu or where he usually goes. Someone or something is preventing us from locating him. We followed him but after entering his house or the Shentu Group, we would lost trace of him. It’s like he can disappeared and teleport from one location to another," Han Juexian gulped, feeling useless.
Shentu Jing put the knife down on the table beside him.
"Don’t follow him anymore," his voice was low and icy.
Then he remembered that Third Madam Qiao was also after Shentu Chu. Why did she want him so badly? Could the answer lie within Third Madam Qiao?
"You and Ding Yu keep an eye on Third Madam Qiao. Don’t let her notice you,"
"Yes, boss!" They chorused and quickly went to work.
Shentu Chu, Third Madam Qiao, Qiao Nian and Qiao Minde.
Shentu Jing drew a crosslink map, with red strings connecting the people above based on their relationship.
He had never met Qiao Minde before but he had heard of his reputation. This man never lost in any business deal or business. Shentu Chu could be acquainted with Qiao Minde. The Qiao Group was a rival to the Shentu Group. But nothing major happened to the company after Shentu Chu met with Qiao Minde.
They didn’t lost any money or shares, instead the company became richer. Perhaps they were buying time to do something big when no one is expecting it. Or he could be overthinking.
He added Shentu Mingye and Ning Ning onto the board too.
Finally he wrote his Little Pearl’s name below on the board.
Suddenly he recalled that Shentu Chu once told him that he had suffered from memory lost. Memory lost? The time Shentu Chu lost his memory was also the same time as Qin Zhuzhu lost her memory and woke up in the hospital.
They lost their memory at the same time. There seemed to be some invisible connection between them.
What was it? What was it that linked all these people together?
That evening, Qin Zhuzhu decided to talk to Shentu Chu without Shentu Jing knowing. There was something lurking around the Shentu family that she couldn’t help but feel drawn and curious.
Qin Zhuzhu called his phone many times but he didn’t answer. Instead she was directed to voice mail.
Why isn’t his phone on?
Qin Zhuzhu went to his house but found it empty. In fact it looked like he hasn’t been back for more than half a month. The bushes were overgrown. Why did she get a dreadful feeling standing in front of the house?
Standing in the dead silence, the wind blew her hair. An idea popped into her head. She got on her motorbike and sped down the road.
"Shentu Chu!" Someone called out.
Shentu Chu turned and saw her standing there. His fingers tightened by his side before forcing them to relax.
Qin Zhuzhu approached him, the grass crunching underneath her feet.
"Shentu Chu, so I was right. You are here," she said.
They were standing in the meadow where they used to visit when they were kids.
"What’s up? You came all the way here, it can’t be for some casual talk," Shentu Chu smiled.
"You’re right. I want to talk about Mingye,"
Instantly, the smile vanished from Shentu Chu’s face and he turned away from her.
Qin Zhuzhu caught on that hint of irritance in his eyes.
"What exactly happened between the three of you?" Qin Zhuzhu asked concernly. Somehow she could feel that something was going on. Shentu Jing may have told the story but she felt like something was missing.
"Nothing. Just some usual arguments, calling each other names," Shentu Chu replied.
"Really? Because if it was some usual arguments between brothers, then why did Mingye cry?" She pressed.
"What?" Shentu Chu turned to face her, the words coming as a shock for him.
"He cried. Cried the entire day and night until his eyes were swollen! He didn’t want to eat, sleep, drink or do anything!"
"You’re lying. Shentu Mingye would never cry to that point. He’s an adult," Shentu Chu wasn’t smiling anymore. The atmosphere turned serious.
"So you cared about him," it was more of a statement than a question.
"What are you talking about? I’m just concerned that he doesn’t go kill himself out of depression. What shame would that bring to the Shentu Group," Shentu Chu scoffed.
Qin Zhuzhu sighed and sat on the grass, her knees up to her chest.
Shentu Chu looked down at her.
"Honestly, I feel like you all care for each other. Call me an idiot or a fool, but Mingye really likes you," Qin Zhuzhu looked at skies in the distance. The sun was setting, burying itself behind the mountains.
Shentu Chu sat down beside her. "Care for them? I hate them,"
