Alex sighs, completely taken by surprise.

He’s getting more confident… damn that cloak.

“Harry? What are you doing here? I thought that after the task, your house would’ve realized that this isn’t some fun contest that you can casually enter for fame. Are they still keeping up the childish harassment?” Tereza asks, slightly confused.

“I’m just… disgusted. Just like that, my house suddenly celebrated me, and Ron immediately acted like nothing had happened—even used me to brag to other people. People are saying I’m Hogwarts’ only hope. Cedric will most likely be bedridden for months and will only partially recover. According to Dumbledore, that blue dragon flame had special magical properties, and they aren’t easy to get rid of,” Harry explains.

“So you came back?” Alex asks, looking surprised but happy.

“After being ‘celebrated’ like that, I initially tried to go back to how things were, but then I thought about it. This thing is sure to repeat itself. Will I be dropped and shunned again, just like during this tournament, once the next scandal happens? These so-called friends were the first to abandon me. The only one who stood by my side is Hermione. Even Ron was jealous and completely shameless,” Harry says, a hint of anger still visible on his face.

“You can stay as long as you want… but, despite your great performance, I’m not taking you to hunt dragons! Also, it’s not really something you should do. I’d be grateful if you stayed quiet about it though, heh,” Alex says, slightly amused.

“Master… It’s only been a short time, but I’ve already learned quite a few things from you all. To me, these dragons aren’t noble and misunderstood creatures like Hagrid says. They’re simply rare, powerful, and dangerous beasts! In fact, they’re evil, seeing humans as prey for slaughter,” Harry states, clearly different from Hagrid.

“Looks like you’ve learned quite a bit. We’re simply looking at these dragons the same way they look at us—as prey,” Rishi says, sounding satisfied.

I hope his teachings didn’t amount to brainwashing. This radical change is a bit too fast and scary. Although, I guess Dumbledore would get involved even if Rishi went a step too far. Also, I’ve spent time with Harry, and I wouldn’t agree with brainwashing—at least not if it involves a good guy like Harry. Same goes for Tereza.

“I’ll stay out of trouble, but I want to see your fight. In return, I’ll let you use this,” Harry says, handing over his Invisibility Cloak.

Alex looks at the cloak, not expecting much, but is surprised by the system’s reaction.

Light black quality?!

Alex gulps. Even Jewel looks at the item greedily. Tereza, Menchi, and Rishi also move closer to inspect it.

Jewel, I will never ever complain about your affectionate love again. This is just scary!

“Not so sure I want to touch that cloak, no offense,” Alex says, looking uneasy.

“It would fit you the best—you have the strongest attack, as you described it yourself earlier. This isn’t an excuse, but I’m not sure what I’d do against a dragon even if I manage to catch it off guard,” Rishi retorts, showing a hint of frustration.

“I have an idea for a lethal surprise attack anyone can do with the cloak, but it’s quite dangerous and will probably lead anyone investigating straight to us,” Alex says, pulling out his [Basilisk Fang].

[Basilisk Fang]

World: Harry Potter / Wizarding World

Quality: Light Purple

Type: Fang

Venom Amount: 61 / 100

Effect: Deadly basilisk poison in its purest form. Deals 2 damage per second to any victim and significantly reduces attributes. The duration of the poison depends on the amount injected. A full injection will be effective for 30 minutes.

Note: Basilisk venom is rumored to only have one cure: Phoenix Tears.

Note: These rumors are outright wrong, and the reports about its lethality are true, but greatly exaggerated.

“It’s too slow, Alex. We can’t afford to wait 10, or even 5 minutes. There are bound to be Dragonologists around. I have a plan to deal with them, but this is still way too slow,” Rishi says.

“How are we even going to carry away the dragon?” Tereza asks.

“I’ll dismantle it. I can’t fight, and I can’t participate in battle, but I sure as hell can dismantle a dead dragon,” Menchi says with a wide grin. “I’ve also tested the size of my ‘expandable bag.’”

“It’s way larger than yours, probably because of my ‘mastery over the Extension Charm.’ I just need to cut these huge dragons into maybe six parts. That shouldn't take too long,” Menchi says, pulling out her two favorite knives. She tosses them into the air and catches them with her arms crossed, a wide grin on her face.

… Why does she look so cool when she’s doing it huh? I need to work on my style, although the students liked the sword move I did during our introduction.

“We could’ve prepared a little better. This is all last-minute, and the risks are quite high,” Alex says, scratching his head.

“Well, I have that Garroting Gas Rishi asked me about. I carefully drained a bit from Snape’s supplies and used some substitutes to fill up his bottles again. The remaining gas will be slightly weaker, but at most 5 to 10%. And we’ve got this small bottle of pure gas,” Tereza adds, holding up a small vial.

“... You planned on hunting the dragons?” Alex and Tereza question Rishi at the same time.

“No, but it can’t hurt to prepare for any scenario, can it? This gas isn’t recognized as an item, and obviously, we can’t take it with us to the Realm since people could obtain hundreds, if not thousands, of rare items from Snape this way. But it still works, of course,” Rishi explains calmly.

“I’ve got the feeling I’m being left out. You’re also using code words. I’ve never seen Menchi cast a single spell, so how come she’s suddenly a master of the Extension Charm? Don’t worry, I won’t tell on you,” Harry says, raising an eyebrow.

Alex sighs. “We’re foreign wizards, Harry, and we have some burdens to bear. We’re just not allowed to tell. We swore an oath. If we break it, it’ll be the last thing we’ll tell anyone, ever.”

Harry gulps, unaware of such strict oaths.

The system will kill us if we tell Harry the truth, even if he keeps it to himself.

“Harry, you said you’d be willing to help out? You’re awesome at riding your broom, right? Think you could distract your enemy from earlier a little bit? That would be a great help… Now, I think we should use the following strategy,” Rishi begins his explanation.

“…”

“...”

“Let’s go for the safest route. You said you trust my gut, Rishi? We shouldn’t be greedy… one is enough!”

“Heh, I concur. Let’s do it, then!”

[Scene Break]

“Get some revenge for Cedric. He’s not a bad guy and didn’t deserve that!” Harry yells as the group quickly approaches the part of the forest where the dragons are housed. Giant cages are set up in the middle of the forest.

“Thankfully, they’re still on the premises. I guess they’ll let them calm down before transporting them away,” Alex notes.

“Fuck, let’s do it. Jewel, be careful! You as well, Harry! Don’t overdo it, if things go wrong land somewhere, cast the Disillusionment charm, use Zetsu, and just hide!!” Alex orders.

My dearest Soulmate should be careful the most. Your Princess Jewel can handle a fat, scaly chicken on her own.

Jewel, stick to the plan! You just rile up the other dragons and support me if needed!

The group splits up into three teams, each sprinting toward a different caged dragon.

Harry is on his own on the left, his Firebolt in hand, while Tereza, Rishi, and Jewel are in the middle, preparing to hide behind a nearby tree, next to the cage of the Chinese Fireball and the Common Welsh Green. Alex is on the right, followed by Menchi, who isn’t allowed to intervene in the fight.

Alex quickly dons Harry’s [Invisibility Cloak?] and disappears from sight.

Hidden, he watches as Harry walks toward the cage of the Hungarian Horntail. Harry activates his illusion item, creating another illusion of himself—this time carrying a dragon egg. Harry screams at the dragon and casts Stupefy on it, waking it up.

At the same time, Tereza casts the Disillusionment Charm on herself, transforms into her hybrid form, and hovers above the cages.

Harry then changes the illusion, making it appear to drop and step on the egg, causing the Horntail to go mad inside its cage. Harry sits on his Firebolt and casts Alohomora on the cage, quickly speeding away.

The confused but enraged dragon notices the open door and flies after Harry, spewing fire everywhere, igniting several trees.

Alex can hear multiple people arriving, screaming, already clearly panicked. Most of them quickly go after Harry and the enraged Horntail, despite being on foot, while a few check the other cages to ensure the chaos is only related to the Horntail.

Alex covers his mouth with a mask made of wet cloth and steps aside as he sees a Dragonologist suddenly clutch their neck, struggling before collapsing.

Tereza then casts Alohomora on the cage of the Swedish Short-Snout, which Alex promptly enters.

It’s go time, I guess!
