Chapter 1214: Chapter 671: Bear of Plunder_2

What they didn’t expect was that their opponents didn’t follow the script they had prepared at all. Instead, they used overwhelming military force to brutally slaughter them, not giving them any chance to turn defeat into victory, even during the chase.

Realizing this, the Hunting Lord stopped trying in vain and sprinted at full speed towards a certain point in the forest.

This was a clearing in the woods, not the natural kind, but one that had just been cleared, with tree stumps thick enough for a person to embrace everywhere, and in the middle there was a huge bonfire pile, filled with ancient trees that had not yet burned completely, twisted and lying there, as if emitting angry accusations.

Bodies of various animals, humanoid creatures, were visible everywhere, on the ground, on the stumps, on the trunks, everywhere were traces smeared with sprayed blood.

The most conspicuous, however, were the group of humans and Half-Elves dressed in Purple Dragon Knights’ armor and two War Mages in robes. They were likely the missing Purple Dragon Knights from Dedeluke Town, sent to search for those who had gone missing at Luji Town.

This was a large Magla desecration ritual, using the destruction of nature to demonstrate nature’s fury and declare the rights of the wild.

Upon seeing the massive creature in the center of the desecration Array, Gaven involuntarily raised his eyebrows and uttered a name, "Bear of Plunder!"

It was a Giant Bear over ten meters long, sitting there like a mountain of flesh, its fur a sky blue color, with only a white crescent on its forehead, and from the knees down its four limbs showed snow-white, its eyes swirling with endless greed and bloodlust.

This was no ordinary incarnation of Magla, but the Beast Totem Spirit known as Blue Bear, also named Bear of Plunder, that had been snatched from Uthgar just last year.

Poor God of the Hunt, he was usually the one hunting others, but during the time when Saints and True Gods roamed everywhere, he became the prey.

First, he encountered the Beast King and Fire-Maned Lord, the lion god Nombinion, in the Supreme Forest of Gusmer and was defeated and driven out.

Then he clashed with the Druids in the Emerald Leisure Court, and was driven northward and westward by the combined forces of the lion god allied with the Great Druids.

Later, Magla appeared in the Northern Lands, first challenging and defeating Hern, the Hunting Master, a fallen reincarnation of an external True God who came with the God of Knowledge Oghma and other Divine Powers during the ancient migrations to Felen, revered among the Orcs of the Supreme Forest. Magla seized the opportunity to usurp his Divine Position.

Then he hunted and killed Uthgar’s Beast Totem Spirit Blue Bear, acquiring this animal spirit’s Divine Position as his own facade, and thus invaded the Beast Worship Sect in Felen, incorporating the Uthgar Barbarians’ Blue Bear Tribe as his own Believer tribe, while also being worshiped elsewhere as the Bear God.

After this, he was targeted by the Tracking God Liufeng, who relentlessly pursued him for who knows how long, traversing most of the world without being able to escape this god of tracking.

However, the biggest impact on him was the Storm God Talos, the Main God of the Fury God Lineage, who showed his Overbearing Strength during The Year of Upheaval, causing many people to worship him out of fear, and many believers of the Fury pantheon switched allegiance to him, among which Magla was the most severely affected.

Before The Year of Upheaval, he was at the Peak State of Feeble Divine Power, but by the end of The Year of Upheaval, not only had he hunted the Hunting Master and invaded the Beast Worship Sect, his Strength had decreased instead of increasing, sinking to the early stages of Feeble Divine Power, and in the next ten years, he would completely fall into Demigod status.

He was now using the Beast facade of the Bear of Plunder that he had just acquired.

It was odd that he opted not to use his most proficient Divine Nature Incarnation, choosing instead to exercise newly acquired powers.

But upon closer thought, it couldn’t be more normal.

To set up this trap, there had to be a premise: keeping both King Yasan and the Court Archmage of the Komeer Kingdom occupied at the same time.

The Strength of these two top figures of the Kingdom was so great that even the God of the Hunt didn’t dare to take them lightly. It wasn’t just about the ordinary Believers; even the weaker Divine Nature Incarnations dared not be deployed to contain them. Instead, with layered arrangements in the main hunting grounds, even a newly acquired Beast Totem facade could become an Overbearing force.

"A mere Mortal who hasn’t even entered Legendary status, you actually command so many Divine Artifacts; aren’t you afraid of inviting endless trouble? Hahaha... From now on, you needn’t worry about these troubles anymore, because all these artifacts will be mine."

A massive roar came from that Blue Bear’s mouth, and even though Gaven was still hidden in the dense forest, he was unable to avoid its gaze.

The Secret Hunting Sect’s trap was aimed at the Crown Princess and Gaven.

And the trap of the God of the Hunt was to corrupt the Secret Hunting Sect and completely draw them into his embrace, expanding his influence within the Komeer Kingdom. He had tasted success when assimilating the Beast Worship Sect, and compared to the slow accumulation of Believers, directly corrupting the existing ruling elite to bring both themselves and their Lieges into his fold brought larger and faster gains.

What he didn’t expect was that his prey had a whole bunch of Divine Artifacts in his possession.

Especially that hammer, which turned out to be a High-Order Artifact containing multiple types of Divine Nature Force, including the Plunder Strength that made him drool.
