First Demonic Dragon-Chapter 927: Staying with Relatives
Abaddon still wasn't fully convinced that his sister was okay.
Even after they had left the mountaintop, Malenia was still quiet.
Both of her siblings were keeping a rather close eye on her as they left like they were looking for the perfect moment to ask her about how she was doing upstairs.
After teleporting away from the mountaintop, the group appeared outside of a large gated home.
Rather than being disoriented over the sudden change in scenery like everyone else, Emmanuel was more surprised by the fact that they had just shown up in his driveway without receiving any directions.
"This will be quite the long excursion if you allow every little thing to surprise you, Emmanuel." Abaddon suddenly said. "I know more about you than you know about yourself."
Emmanuel nodded thoughtfully as he fixed his glasses. "Y-You'll have to forgive me, my lord. Never met a god before, so I think it might take me a minute to catch up."
Abaddon chuckled.
His chuckle eventually devolved into a full blown fit of laughter.
His sisters, his wives, and even his 'dog' didn't have the faintest idea about what he could've possibly found so funny.
But they were beginning to grow concerned that he had just broken spontaneously.
Bekka: 'What the hell's so damn funny..? I wanna laugh too..!'
Seras / Izanami: 'He's so handsome when he laughs…'
Audrina: 'I knew this trip was going to make him insane…'
Abaddon just kept laughing while oblivious to the thoughts of his wives.
"Babe.." Bekka nudged him. "Your followers are about to start believing that you're-"
*Creak!*
The front door suddenly opened and a woman wandered out.
She seemed like the kind of middle-aged fitness influencer that you'd see on any social media app. Like Seras, she wore a sports bra and leggings, but hers screamed that they were more for aesthetics than genuine workouts.
Her lilac colored spandex was as tight as it could be without making her appear immodest or unnatural.
She was short with a slimmer figure but curves in noticeable abundance. Her long black hair went below her waist and was adorned with a single rich, purple flower.
Her skin was a deep, smooth bronze color. As rich as caramel and twice as sweet. Her eyes shone like pools of honey underneath the sun.
As soon as she laid eyes on Emmanuel, she pouted as she made their way down the front steps.
"Papi, what is this? You told me you were just having a few people stay over, I barely have anything prepared!"
The barely anything in question was twelve serving trays piled with food and two different desserts. But to Emmanuel's wife, that was barely enough to feed Abaddon and his wives alone.
Emmanuel waved his hand dismissively over his whole family. "Baby, don't even sweat these motherfuckers, they're not even staying."
Emmanuel's family rightfully called him all sorts of names over the span of the next few seconds.
Meanwhile, Abaddon's group locked eyes with the woman who had just joined them outside.
No more than four seconds passed by before the entire group also burst out into their own fits of laughter. Each of them was as raunchy and concerning as the next.
The only one who didn't seem to know what was going on was Izanami, who kind of just looked back and forth between her lovers with a question mark floating above her head.
Emmanuel wandered over to the woman who'd just arrived and placed his arm around her.
He started to introduce Abaddon and his family to her, but quickly realized he didn't know how to refer to Abaddon in front of other people. "This is, erm..."
"Carter." Abaddon volunteered his hand for the woman to take.
The woman's eyes flashed with a thinly veiled attraction that no one but him would've noticed.
She smiled politely as she took his hand. "Xochitl..." She introduced. "It's very nice to meet you."
Abaddon smiled back innocently. "Likewise 'Xochie'."
The woman's expression cracked instantly as she stared at Abaddon in horror.
-
Abaddon, his wives, and his sisters had all been given given three rooms side by side each other on the second floor of the house.
Emmanuel was retired military and a highly acclaimed neurosurgeon, so he was one of the few members of Abaddon's followers who was quite well off. Meaning that the rooms, while not like the tones in Tehom, were still quite spacious and comfortable.
Abaddon was sitting on the bed while Izanami held his hand. Though it wasn't to be cute.
She was scrubbing it with hand sanitizer and a Brillo pad. Anything to get the touch of another woman off of her husband as quickly as she could.
Izanami muttered to herself with a dark aura surrounding her. No one in the room seemed to find any part of her behavior out of the ordinary.
"Look, I just wanted to say... thank you." Kanami said honestly.
"For?" Abaddon tilted his head.
"Don't pretend to be daft." Kanami gave him a light punch in the arm. "Lillian told us what a hard decision you had to contend with. I just... need you to know that I really appreciate your telling us. It means a lot."
Malenia nodded along in silence.
Kanami and her sister had been trying to get Abaddon to stop threatening them like children for centuries.
It didn't matter that they were some of the strongest creatures to draw breath. In their brother's mind, if they weren't in his sight or in his realm then they weren't safe.
If someone had told Kanami beforehand about the kind of dilemma Abaddon had on his hands, and asked her to gamble on it's outcome, she would have one-hundred percent bet that her brother would have left without telling her anything.
The fact that he let Lillian tell her and Malenia bout where he was going and why... it was a major step forward in some very positive directions.
"...I only let you come because Audrina asked me nicely." He turned away.
Audrina was hanging from the ceiling fan as a small black bat. She rolled her eyes at the notion, even though she usually loved taking credit for things.
"Well, whoever had the idea, they have my thanks."
"Mine as well." Malenia smiled.
Both girls hugged their brother around his neck, and he pretended to be disgusted by the affection like always.
After a few more minutes, the sisters were about to leave the room. However, when they opened the door they found Emmanuel's wife Xochitl standing outside with a manilla folder in hand. novelbuddy.cσ๓
"Oh? Thought you'd be by sooner." Seras chuckled.
"Going to stand outside or come in?" Bekka grinned obnoxiously.
Izanami started scrubbing Abaddon's hand ten times harder and chanting ancient curses from before recorded time.
Xochitl took a deep breath before stepping into the room and shutting the door behind her.
"...I can explain." She began.
"Oh, I bet you can." Abaddon took off his glasses and leaned back into bed. "But I would imagine it's not very interesting or complicated."
Seras looked the woman up and down as she pulled her husband's head into her lap. "The disguise is real interesting. What does your husband think you are again?"
Xochitl clenched her fists. "...A boitata."
Everyone in the room looked the housewife up and down.
"... Yeah, I could see that." They all agreed at once.
"I'm sorry, who is she really and why are you all acting as if you know her already..?" Izanami asked in a frightfully demonic voice. It was very clear that a wrong answer here would result in a divine homicide.
Audrina dropped down from the ceiling and returned to normal so that she could wrap her arms around Izanami.
"Ease your worries, my jealous little butterfly. Xochiequetzal is nothing in comparison to you."
It took exactly seven words to turn Izanami's mood upside down and render her as passive as a newborn doe.
Emmanuel's wife sighed and dropped her disguise.
In an instant, she no longer looked like a modern housewife, but a significantly more beautiful goddess clad in skimpy robes and Aztec jewelry.
Her hair fell all the way to the floor and her skin now looked exactly like molten bronze.
Izanami blinked a couple of times and tilted her head. "...Is this supposed to mean something to me?"
"She's a goddess, babe." Bekka informed. "Aztec deity of Fertility, Sexuality, and Pregnancy."
Izanami blinked a couple more times.
"...Do you know anyone outside of your family and us?" Seras asked.
"Is anyone else important?" Izanami blinked again.
Every time that the group thought they had capped out on the limit of their attraction, Izanami somehow found a way to raise that bar even higher.
"You know I'd heard Eris had married the little death goddess locked away in her tower." Xochitl gestured to the loving couple. "I thought it was all one big joke, but I guess not..."
Abaddon narrowed his eyes. "You would have had better knowledge of ongoing events if you were in the heavens like you're supposed to be."
Xochiquetzal bit her lip.
"Let me guess." Audrina yawned. "You thought that if you could give birth to a child tied to Abaddon's followers, you'd gain a larger voice among the Aztecs and hopefully climb to the head of your pantheon."
Xochitl opened her mouth to speak.
"But then you learned that the powers of the Red Wanderers don't come from Abaddon and are instead the result of a bloodline spell cast by a talented elder shaman around 4,000 years ago?" Seras finished.
Xochitl's eyes narrowed and her mood took a sizeable downturn.
"...I'm... not the first goddess to try this. Am I?"
""""No. No you are not.""""
