So, in a desperate move to prevent a potential game-winning goal, Matic resorted to a tactical foul.

The referee wasted no time, sprinting to the scene and reaching into his pocket.

A yellow card!

Matic was shown the card as Stamford Bridge erupted with mixed reactions—boos from Chelsea fans and relief from the traveling Manchester United supporters.

The foul, however, gave Chelsea an excellent opportunity.

At the edge of the penalty area, they were awarded a free kick in a dangerous position.

Fabregas and Su Luo stood over the ball, deciding who would take the shot.

The crowd held its breath.

The game clock ticked to the 89th minute.
