Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself-Chapter 104 - 114 He Fell in Love with Her
Chapter 104: Chapter 114 He Fell in Love with Her
"Um... Instructor Mu, I’m a bit sleepy, I’ll go back to my room to sleep first." An Ran pointed to the room behind her, and without waiting for Mu Xingfeng to reply, she dashed away like a gust of wind.
Mu Xingfeng really didn’t expect the little girl to avoid him like the plague. If he wasn’t afraid of scaring her, he would have grabbed her back and asked her why she feared him so much. When she saved him back then, she wasn’t afraid of him at all.
The noise from the TV continued, but Mu Xingfeng no longer had any desire to watch it. He never had much interest in these things anyway, so he turned off the TV and went back to his room.
After taking a shower, Mu Xingfeng lay on his bed, thinking about the charming girl living next door, and he couldn’t fall asleep.
He was certain he had fallen in love with her. Although they had only been together for two days, he felt these two days were the most fulfilling in his twenty-six years of life.
When he couldn’t see her, she dominated his thoughts; when he did see her, his heart was full, and he constantly wanted to hold her in his arms.
Sometimes, he just wanted to recklessly claim her as his own. But rationality told him that doing so would only push her further away. Loving someone means respecting her, yet this damned respect made him crazy.
What should he do to stop the girl from fearing him?
Eventually, Mu Xingfeng got out of bed, tiptoed to the guest room door, grasped the doorknob, but couldn’t muster the courage to press down.
By this time, the little girl should be asleep. But what if she locked the door? Mu Xingfeng held the doorknob, feeling as though he were making a final decision before a charge.
Finally, he pressed down on the doorknob. With a click, the door opened. The little girl hadn’t locked it, and Mu Xingfeng’s mood brightened. Heaven knows how much he feared she guarded against him like a thief.
Though that was indeed the reality.
On the big bed, the little girl was hugging a quilt, lying on one leg over it, sleeping ungracefully. The window was open, and autumn breezes occasionally blew in.
The weather in October was a bit chilly. Sleeping like this, she would soon get cold.
Mu Xingfeng walked forward, pulled the quilt from An Ran’s arms, and gently covered her with it. The little girl restlessly turned over, and this small movement frightened Mu Xingfeng, making him freeze. His mind raced with thoughts of how he would explain if she saw him.
But she just turned over and smacked her lips a couple of times before falling back asleep. Mu Xingfeng breathed a sigh of relief, sat on the bed, and looked at An Ran’s pure sleeping face. He reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear.
An Ran slept peacefully, with a calm and composed expression. Under the warm bedside lamp, he could see her two rows of long eyelashes casting fan-like shadows, and her slightly pursed red lips seemed to be waiting to be kissed.
Unnoticed, his body moved faster than his brain. By the time he realized, he was already leaning over her, and his thin lips were about to touch her red lips.
Mu Xingfeng couldn’t help but laugh silently. When had his self-control become so poor?
He moved slightly, deciding not to kiss her lips but instead landed a kiss on her forehead.
An Ran seemed to feel something, she softly furrowed her brows and swept her hand across her face.
"Slap," a small palm landed on Mu Xingfeng’s face, surprising him into a brief panic.
Did he really wake her?
Just as Mu Xingfeng was preparing to face her questions, he watched as she merely turned over and continued sleeping.
Mu Xingfeng shook his head helplessly and whispered, "Really like a pig." He lightly caressed An Ran’s smooth cheek and softly murmured, "An Ran, don’t be afraid of me."
