Former Interstellar Mercenary In Urban Cultivation World-Chapter 804: Pixiu Bloodline (Part 2)
Chapter 804: Pixiu Bloodline (Part 2)
Senior Tian Wuya raised an eyebrow, "Is Wealth its name?"
Amalia nodded, "Yes, Kenny Lin named it."
Senior Tian Wuya immediately frowned, "What a terrible name."
Amalia couldn’t help but laugh awkwardly, "Master, do you know where to find a Pixiu?"
"I do, but the place where you can find them is extremely dangerous. With your current abilities, it would be hard for you to make it out alive. The area is in the devil battlefield. You’ve probably heard of it—many of the most powerful spirit beasts on Mystic Void Continent aren’t extinct. They just reside deep within that battlefield."
Amalia didn’t hesitate, "For Wealth, I’ll take that risk."
Senior Tian Wuya didn’t try to stop her, "If you think you’re ready, I’ll tell you the location. However, I suggest you avoid going there anytime soon."
"But can Wealth wait that long?" Amalia asked, clearly worried.
"You just need to temporarily suppress the Pixiu bloodline within it. I can seal it for six months."
Hearing this, Amalia sighed in relief, "Thank you, Master. I’ll be ready by then."
For Senior Tian Wuya, this was a simple matter.
She immediately placed a seal within Wealth’s body.
Wealth’s breathing gradually slowed, becoming deeper and more steady.
After Senior Tian Wuya left, Amalia received a message from Kenny Lin, asking her to meet him outside.
She had something to tell him as well, so she placed Wealth in her small room and headed to the base of Nameless Peak, where Kenny Lin was standing, his face cold as usual.
"Master told me about Wealth’s situation today..." Amalia explained what had happened with Wealth.
Kenny Lin asked, "When do you plan to enter the devil battlefield again?"
"In a few months," Amalia replied, "With Master’s help sealing Wealth’s Pixiu bloodline, we have more time to prepare. I plan to go into seclusion for a while."
Kenny Lin gave a slight nod and then asked, "What about the Eight Gods Blade? Did any of the travel notes in the Soltice Ring mention that technique?"
This was his real reason for coming.
Even if he hadn’t asked, Amalia was planning to search for it.
There were many travel notes in the Soltice Ring.
Yi Xiulan seemed to love recording her journeys, writing a new journal in almost every place she visited. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
Because there were so many, Amalia hadn’t read them all.
After searching for a while, Amalia found a few notes related to the devil battlefield.
With the battlefield’s history spanning tens of thousands of years, there was certainly much to write about.
Amalia flipped through two books before finding a brief mention of the Eight Gods Blade.
"Here it is! It mentions the Eight Gods Blade..."
Before she could finish, Kenny Lin grabbed the book and scanned it with his spiritual sense, immediately understanding its contents thanks to his powerful cultivation.
"Well? What does it say?" Amalia asked.
"It’s turns out, the reason the Eight Gods Blade ended up with Yi Xiulan was because Elder Yen Mah lost a bet to her. So, she had to give up the balde technique. However..." Kenny Lin trailed off.
Amalia asked eagerly, "However, what?"
Kenny Lin touched his chin and smiled slyly, "Elder Yen Mah only gave Yi Xiulan the Seven God Blade. Either he hadn’t developed the eighth blade yet, or he did but chose not to share it."
Amalia was stunned, "But the Eight Gods Blade I learned has the last move. How can that happen?"
"Don’t you get it? The eighth blade was something Yi Xiulan figured out on her own. So, the one who completed the technique wasn’t the original creator but an Artificer. Interesting, right?" Kenny Lin’s eyes lit up.
Amalia hadn’t expected this twist.
"But..." Kenny Lin shifted his tone, "Even though Yi Xiulan came up with the eighth blade, no one has ever used it. Aside from her, no one knows if it actually works or what the consequences might be."
Amalia shrugged her shoulder, "Well, Yi Xiulan was definitely the greatest Artificer on Mystic Void Continent. She even managed to deduce a blade technique."
"That’s because she was both a Cultivator and an Artificer," Kenny Lin said, waving the journal in his hand, "For now, though, I’d say don’t train in the Eight Gods Blade. Your master’s Heaven’s Cataclysmic Blade is pretty good enough."
To keep Amalia from practicing the Eight Gods Blade, Kenny Lin begrudgingly acknowledged that old granny’s technique.
"Do you think Yi Xiulan is still alive? Why did her soltice ring end up in the Interstellar world?" Amalia finally voiced a question that had been bothering her for a while.
Kenny Lin replied, "You already know the answer, don’t you? Soltice Ring contain life space that are usually bound to the owner’s life force. If even her natal artifact is lost, what does that tell you? As for why it ended up in the Interstellar world, maybe she was caught in a spatial rift and something went wrong."
Kenny Lin’s theory matched Amalia’s own suspicions.
If Yi Xiulan had lost her natal artifact in the spatial rift, could she still be alive?
It seemed unlikely.
However, there was also a chance she didn’t die in the rift at all.
Kenny Lin suddenly added, "There’s actually another possibility."
Amalia looked at him.
Kenny Lin explained, "She could have simply reached the end of her lifespan. If she didn’t achieve immortality, then she wouldn’t be truly immortal. Yi Xiulan might have lived even longer than our masters, and her lifespan could have just run out. Isn’t that normal?"
"That does make some sense."
Amalia suddenly looked at him, "Why did you come down here? Did Master Lian allow it?"
Kenny Lin replied without hesitation, "He was afraid I’d tear down the Upper Nine Peaks."
"If you can really can do that, I’ll let you start your own mountain in the sect," came from distant, the ethereal voice of Master Lian.
Getting caught badmouthing someone behind their back, and Kenny Lin didn’t even flinch.
