Galaxy Domination Guide-Chapter 749 - 735 Omni
Bai Zhongqi had invested most of his time into the research of primordial substance, which was a study where even the elite scientists and researchers from Iridium Star like Linyin couldn’t be of much help, for the existence of the primordial substance was almost anti-scientific. It broke all conventional understandings of the physical and chemical properties that a substance could possess, able to change in accordance with the will of its master.
Bai Zhongqi had already moved past the phase of conducting various experiments with Linyin—such as making flames feel and behave like water when touched, consumable and capable of metabolizing within the human body, or turning a piece of metal digestible and convertible into energy by the human digestive system. No matter how many tests they conducted, such things lacked practical significance.
What Bai Zhongqi needed was how to utilize primordial substance to its greatest effect. Put simply, how to use it as a weapon.
"There are thousands of the brightest minds in the United Empire wracking their brains over this, so I think you, Chancellor, need not worry," Linyin said confidently to Bai Zhongqi. She patted her chest, inevitably causing a particularly male-friendly jiggle, but the Chancellor had grown accustomed to such sights and paid no attention.
Linyin was somewhat resentful that Bai Zhongqi had refused to continue experimenting with her. Primordial substance was indeed special, its terrifying and irrational nature had already shattered the beliefs of several scientific personnel. All the knowledge they had acquired and the mysteries they had uncovered were utterly useless in the face of primordial substance. It was indeed a significant blow to morale.
Bai Zhongqi spoke seriously, "We have been bullied by the Fallen Empire for far too long, so I must strike back. I cannot afford to spend too much time conducting experiments with you, and besides, there is no need to verify everything on an item-by-item basis. I believe the primordial substance can take on any and all properties of matter."
Linyin was tenacious and asked, "Chancellor, have you ever tried assimilating life?"
Bai Zhongqi had indeed considered the possibility; he hesitated slightly and said, "Do you want to see what a life form composed of primordial substance looks like?"
"Exactly, there might be some remarkable discoveries," Linyin said, batting her clear, large eyes with a pleading look at Bai Zhongqi.
Bai Zhongqi was somewhat overwhelmed by such a gaze but didn’t wish to casually use primordial substance to assimilate someone. He called Zero and produced an Enslaved Beast.
Linyin had already summoned a large number of researchers, ready for all manner of observations. The researchers were quite disappointed that they couldn’t install any sensors on the Enslaved Beast because they would be assimilated by the primordial substance and thus be useless.
Bai Zhongqi placed a tiny piece of primordial substance on the top of the Enslaved Beast’s head. The glowing, colloid-like substance quickly permeated into the beast’s body. The beast seemed not to feel anything, and in just a few seconds, it had transformed into a creature glowing like primordial substance itself.
"Is it still alive?" Bai Zhongqi asked Zero.
Zero shook his head, "I can no longer sense it; in my perception, such an Enslaved Beast no longer exists."
Linyin quickly scanned through various data, saying, "I can’t detect any vital signs, no blood circulation, no heartbeat, nothing, this Enslaved Beast has ceased to exist as a living thing."
Bai Zhongqi nodded, "Pretty much as expected, not far from my guess. Since primordial substance equals transforming a single substance into a universal one, in the process, it also breaks down the structure and system formed among the original materials. Therefore, if the foundation of life is gone, it naturally dies."
Zero suddenly suggested, "Then Chancellor, can you try to reverse this process, to see whether primordial substance can be transformed into a living being?"
Bai Zhongqi found this suggestion somewhat interesting and began to recall various cells, chemical components, organs formed, and functional systems in a biological organism—with a human body being the most direct example. To reconstruct a complex life form, Bai Zhongqi took some time, but in the end, he succeeded.
Linyin, Zero, and all the researchers in the experimental center watched in amazement as a glowing colloid gradually solidified, eventually becoming a naked male. This male was about the same height as Bai Zhongqi but possessed a posture as muscular and powerful as Michelangelo’s David. His face was not handsome, even rather ordinary, with no hair, or rather no body hair at all.
Linyin gasped, her shock beyond words.
Creating life seemed not so complex in theory, but in reality, producing a complete living being from a mysterious substance, detached from the biological traits of an original life form, was practically akin to creating something out of nothing.
Zero tugged at Bai Zhongqi’s arm, a rare gesture for the Swarm Empress who usually didn’t display such a girlish demeanor. As the Swarm Empress, Zero actually understood life better and revered it more. Bai Zhongqi’s actions not only upended normal understanding but were also nearly god-like. freeweɓnovel.cøm
Bai Zhongqi exhaled a deep breath, marking the completion of his task.
The male in front of him opened his eyes, looked around for a moment, and did not speak.
Linyin asked curiously, "Does he lack memories and language abilities, like a newborn?"
The male looked at her and said, "Not so."
"Ah, you can speak."
"Why wouldn’t I?"
As he spoke, his entire body lost the human skin appearance it had just taken on, quickly reverting back to a glowing colloid form.
"A failure?" Bai Zhongqi was somewhat surprised.
The being said, "No, you haven’t stabilized every bit of the physical properties of the primordial substance, rendering my shape unstable. However, you have successfully created my life support system, which means even if my external form is unstable, I am still in the form of life."
Bai Zhongqi looked at him, feeling that his appearance resembled Doctor Manhattan from the comics he used to read, only that this entity was clothed in white light and metallic hues.
"Being made up of primordial substance, I can perform any physical property manipulation, whether it’s releasing energy or increasing gravitational forces. As long as you, Chancellor, grant me the authority, I can manipulate all of these," the unassuming creation said calmly as he gently spread his hands and spoke softly, "In this world, I am omnipotent. Perhaps, I should call myself Omni."
Bai Zhongqi’s heart skipped a beat; he felt that Omni was entirely under his control and that he could also destroy him at any time. But it seemed he had genuinely created something extraordinary.
