He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 161. Father of the Federation 17
Chapter 161: Chapter 161. Father of the Federation 17
Across various towering mountain peaks was sprawled a magnificent metropolis which seemed like a blend between an ancient and futuristic setting.
This large metropolis was the Arcane Empowerment Sect.
Certain buildings were akin to pagodas. Others were like skyscrapers. Some had wooden structures with elegantly curved rooftops, their sweeping eaves protecting the entrance from rain.
Hover vehicles whizzed past the atmosphere from time to time, as individuals engaged in different chatter. Some could be seen training, others landed the hover vehicles at several landing spots.
Others could be seen walking around, minding their businesses.
However there was one conversation dominant if one could listen carefully. Various individuals were staring at various holographic screens as their conversations circulated around the same topic.
" To think the outer court disciples would be completely overpowered in the trial"
" Even the outer court instructor was mercilessly killed"
" That black armored guy is a monster . How could someone from a newly evolved Ascendant level planet be so strong"
" Look, they are retreating. The other court geniuses are retreating!"
" It can’t be helped , that planet even have a special power system for controlling beasts . It seems this planet is not simple. To think they would be able to produce such a freak"
" They are all freaks!. Look at the way those guys were using the beasts strategically in battle. They have serious battle experience "
" It’s a pity though , even if the powerhouses of the sect do not intervene, the planet has been exposed to many powerhouses in the Eclipse Solar System, they are bound to become slaves, unless they get a strong backing"
In one of the large halls of the sect sect ,the night light of the three moons peered through the glass windows of the large hall.
Several figures could be seen staring at holographic screens in a large hall boasting with flamboyance with blood shot eyes, a testament of the anger flickering through their eyes.
A humanoid android carried a plate of fruits and placed it before them, before the android left.
One of the men, a middle aged individual clad in luxurious robes ,spoke with profound chillness.
" Pathetic , to think that disciple would be so useless and get himself killed. However I need to seek revenge. That young man must die at all costs"
" Your disciple died because he was incompetent. However we need to have this planet for ourselves, the sect is in dire need of resources. No forgetting that our promising outer court disciples currently have no way back to the sect "
The individual whose voice rung was non other than the chief elder of the inner sect .
Usually, the short tempered Elder Shan would have flared up in anger after the death of his disciple had been treated with such flippancy . However the man calmly gazing at the holographic screen was a
rank 3 intermediate stage ascendant level lifeform. Shan politely nodded at the man’s words, reigning in his anger .
A resolute expression appeared on his face. He hesitated for a while ,before he spoke
" Chief Elder, if I may, can I take it upon myself to visit the planet and retrieve our outer court disciples and take control of the planet?"
The Chief Elder of the inner sect remained silent for a while, under the reverential and fearful gazes of the elders gathered in the hall before he spoke.
" That will be too slow. Plus I’m no fool. I know you are solely willing to do so to kill the young man who killed your disciple . However I don’t care about that. What I am considering is that in case several powerhouses are at the scene when you arrive, your efforts would prove futile and we will fail to take over the planet . I will personally be heading there right now to retrieve the outer sect disciples and cease control over the planet. My spaceship can warp there quickly after all . We can register it in the name of the sect and sell the residents as slaves for money . This will earn us enough resources for the sect and-"
Suddenly...
" Sorry to interrupt you Chief Elder but look on the screen"
" What is that drunk bastard doing there? And what is he up to this time?"
The chief elder of the inner sect sighed as he facepalmed and sighed.
Everyone was staring at the screen in shock.
Trying to understand the situation, they played the feed backwards for a few seconds to when Kailen had appeared on the moon.
Just when the outer court disciples were staring at Kailen with palpable terror , a hand suddenly tapped his shoulder, revealing a drunk person in tathered clothes downing alcohol in a bottle.
" Don’t waste your energy on them kid"
Presently ,Kailen remained rooted in the same place with shock in his eyes .
He felt fear. This was subconscious fear.
The aura this man was radiating made it impossible for him to move an inch .
Kailen felt extremely powerless in front of the man. It was like he was an ant.
Even the outer court disciples were shocked at the sudden appearance of this man.
Inasmuch as the aura radiating from the man made them feel equally insignificant , they heaved a sighs of relief inwardly, thinking that the sect has sent someone to come for them.
The man completely retracted his aura, giving them the ability to breath normally.
They were currently able to move.
" Hop in, I need to speak with this young man "
The man pointed towards a spaceship that stood a couple of walks away from the current location.
" This..."
The group stared at the spaceship with shock.
In their galaxy only extreme powerhouses could own these kind of spaceships.
These spaceships were extremely fast. They could perform warps several light years away in the span of a few seconds .
" Who is this man?" Cimeris muttered to herself ,bewildered.
However she entered the spaceship with the others, wanting to get away from the terrifying young man who had killed their instructor as soon as possible.
She had always seen herself as a prodigy. Although she knew that the universe was vast and she was nothing special in the vast universe, she had grown accustomed to being praised as a genius in her immediate circle ,but today that wordview had been completely shattered.
Sanguine chuckled helplessly as he stared at Cimeris .
He was sharing the same train of thought.
At this point, he had realized how naive he had been.
Trying to compare himself with Cimeris to defeat her to prove a point that he was better than her?
That was stupid.
He was not supposed to compete with anyone, but to strive to be a better version of himself.
He would only end up frustrating himself if he tried to compare himself with others. In the universe, there would always be someone better than you.
A perfect example was the young man currently staring at the mysterious drunkard expert outside the spaceship.
