Heaven Refining physique-Chapter 121: Who said so?
Chapter 121: Who said so?
"It makes sure to separate those who had entered from the same node at the same time quite equally. You said a total of 15 Core Formation realm cultivators of your sect have entered, right?
I don’t know how many safe zones are on the outer side like this one, but let’s assume it’s five, then every safe zone will have about three of you. Many have tried to solve this issue by wearing different sect robes and entering at different times, but I doubt your sect would have done that, as it is frowned upon,"
Yu Yan explained to her.
"I see. Our sect elder who is in charge of sending us didn’t mention this, but he did say that we should enter together,"
the woman nodded while saying.
"Well, knowing wouldn’t have changed anything. It’s just that old man yaps too much,"
Jin Tian said, but he backed off as Yu Yan glared at him.
Jiang Hao walked towards the city gates. If what they had said was true, then the chances of meeting Sister Ming Yue here were low.
Well, he was sure she could handle herself.
"Look, there are cultivators from the Azure Sky Sect. How many have they sent? A total of six of them are already together."
Jiang Hao stopped and looked towards the back, as in front he hadn’t seen any cultivator of the Azure Sky Sect. He knew their sect robes well, as Senior Huan had shown him.
As for the Ethereal Cloud Sanctuary, he knew their robes well too, when they trapped and killed them.
Fair enough, there was a new group of cultivators coming. They all were from the Azure Sky Sect, no doubt about it. There were four men and two women in the group, with two spirit beasts—both in the early stage of grade four.
He might have a little bit of resistance towards killing cultivators from the Blazing Valley Sect. The reason was simple—when Blazing Valley targeted him, none of their own cultivators might have known about it.
But it was a different matter altogether with these two sects from the Central Region. They entered this inheritance site for one and only one purpose—to kill them. In fact, Senior Huan and Senior Zhi might not even be their priority. It would definitely be him and Sister Ming Yue.
He didn’t move to kill them—not because he was afraid of others seeing him kill those fellows, but because he didn’t know the rules. This road towards the city gate seemed different. Maybe it was counted as a safe zone.
He looked toward Jing Tian, who looked surprised because Jiang Hao had stopped to see the cultivators of Azure Sky Sect.
"Can you attack someone on this road?"
Jing Tian came out of his stupor and shook his head.
"No, Senior. You see, this road is also considered inside the safe zone. The reason is simple—you can’t enter the city together. You have to pass one by one through the city gates.
That’s the reason why there are people standing here, waiting for their turn to come."
Jiang Hao nodded. There might not be many cultivators present in front of the city gate, but there were still about 25 or 26. He didn’t count, so he just guessed. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
Jing Tian was surprised by this question. First of all, Jiang Hao couldn’t kill anyone here other than spirit beasts, so why ask this question? Was he worried about his acquaintance? Second, he had asked this question after seeing Azure Sky Sect cultivators, so that meant he had some kind of grudge with them.
He calmed himself. Why was he afraid right now? He was already on the safe road. His wolf would be allowed to enter the city as it was a blood-contracted beast of his.
So he puffed up his chest and said,
"Senior, I have answered so many of your questions. Can’t you answer even a single one of mine? It’s not like I asked you to reveal your identity. I just wanted to know how you arrived in this region so fast and why you came here?"
Jiang Hao sighed. This guy really had answered his questions. It wasn’t like he was against answering him, but he was sure this guy would yap even more after listening to his answer.
"First of all, why can’t I be here?"
Instead of answering, he asked another question.
"Because it is common knowledge that you can’t cross the barrier of regions before one day has passed,"
Jing Tian answered immediately.
"What has that got to do with me being here?"
Jiang Hao asked another question.
Jing Tian got surprised but still answered.
"Because you are a Soul Sea Realm cultivator, and you should be in your own region."
"Hmm? And who decided that I am a Soul Sea Realm cultivator—you?"
Jiang Hao said it as a matter of fact.
Jing Tian got stunned. Wasn’t it true? No way, this guy was just avoiding his real question. He was leading him by the nose. He gritted his teeth and said,
"Senior, if you don’t want to tell, then just say so. Why speak nonsense?"
Jiang Hao shook his head and shrugged his shoulders.
"Believe what you want."
Yu Yan and other two were listening to this conversation eagerly too. They wanted to know the truth as well, but in the end, it was still not clear.
"Whatever, Senior. It was good travelling with you. Now, farewell."
Jing Tian left. Others looked at each other and followed him towards the city gate.
All the cultivators in front of the city gates seemed to be from the Eastern Region. Jiang Hao had seen some Mountain Sword Sect disciples, some Thousand Petal Order disciples, but there were only six or seven spirit beasts, and none of them were grade four.
This went to show that you need good support from your sect to form a bond with a stronger spirit beast. Also, your soul should be strong enough to handle it.
So in a nutshell, they all were ordinary disciples, although being in the peak stage of Core Formation Realm was an achievement in itself in the Eastern Region.
Jiang Hao didn’t care if Jing Tian left or stayed with him. In fact, he never asked anyone to follow him around—they just wanted to do that by themselves.
He didn’t chase them away because he was able to ask some questions from Jing Tian.
He looked towards the city gate. There didn’t seem to be any kind of line, but people still seemed to be following the order of ’who arrives first, enters first’. But if any cultivators from good sects with spirit beasts arrived, then they were given priority.
It was quite amusing. There was no rule about it, but weak people still followed it. Forget about them being weak—their hearts and will were the real weaknesses. Fear was eternal inside these weak hearted cultivators, no matter how strong they became.
Jiang Hao moved towards the gate. The cultivators of Azure Sky Sect were still behind him.
By the time he arrived at the gate, 15 cultivators had entered, and only 10 had left from the previous 25 cultivators. The group Jing Tian was in was about to enter next. Upon seeing those three spirit beasts, others immediately scurried away.
Jing Tian stopped and looked towards Jiang Hao one last time but was stunned to see him coming towards the gates.
His thoughts were—was this guy mocking him, or did he really want to cross this gate? He could somehow believe that he was able to arrive inside this region by some trick which is not known by anyone, but he definitely wouldn’t believe that this guy could cross this gate. The cultivation restriction array wasn’t for show.
He stopped and moved to the side. He really wanted to see it now. Yu Yan looked towards him and saw that he was looking at Jiang Hao. She understood why he stopped. She sighed and also came to his side. The other two similarly followed along.
When others saw that these guys weren’t entering, they began to enter themselves.
Jiang Hao saw the process clearly. There was a restriction array along the sides of the door. It created a barrier which seemed to only allow cultivators whose cultivation realm was Core Formation or below.
Jiang Hao waited for others to enter. He wasn’t given special privilege, as he didn’t have any spirit beast with him. He didn’t care either way.
Jiang Hao stood in the middle, waiting for his turn to come. Jing Tian was looking at him like a hawk.
After two more people entered, the cultivators of Azure Sky Sect came behind him. When other people saw them, they immediately stopped and stepped aside from the gate.
They were in the peak stage of Core Formation Realm. Most of the ordinary cultivators were in their thirties or forties. They had enough knowledge about the two top sects of the cultivation world—after all, they were beacons of hope for humanity.
So they knew what their status was.
Now the whole gate was empty, with Jiang Hao standing in the middle while the group of Azure Sky Sect stood behind him.
When others saw that Jiang Hao hadn’t moved away, they became stunned.
They had only one thought in their heads—who was this fool? Did he think that using a mask would protect his identity?
Some even gestured for Jiang Hao to get aside. They thought maybe he didn’t see the group of Azure Sky Sect.
But Jiang Hao ignored that, and seeing the gate was empty, he moved towards it.
