Heaven Refining physique-Chapter 56: Unknown Mountain
Chapter 56: Unknown Mountain
Jiang Hao nodded in his heart; it was the truth. He firsthand knew how terrifying his physique was, and he was also sure that sister Ming Yue would grow to an unprecedented level.
Forget about their physique— their comprehension talent was also comparable to the supreme geniuses of the upper world. Jiang Hao had read in the notes that this world was ruled by special physique users or those who were supreme geniuses.
Jiang Hao had complete knowledge up to the Void Reversion realm, but he didn’t know anything beyond that, as nothing was mentioned in the notes. There was only one line for the upper levels: "You will understand when you reach there."
So, he didn’t know why supreme comprehension ability was considered similar to having a top-tier physique.
The only way to find out was to reach that level or ask someone about it, but it didn’t seem like the right time, so he let it go for the time being.
No matter how calm Jiang Hao looked, he was quite a vengeful person. Even though these sects were the reason humans could live peacefully in this world, he didn’t care.
Since they had decided to hunt him, he would hunt them. Even if these two sects were destroyed in the process, he would still do it. People might consider him evil for his actions, but he didn’t give a damn about it.
Good and evil were the same in his eyes. Someone’s evil might be good for someone else; it was just a matter of perspective.
How many of these people would come to save him now that he was being hunted? None. In fact, they would want a piece of the meat themselves.
To him, the only things that mattered in his life were his mother, the villagers, and now these new companions who had taken care of him all this time.
He knew that his mother would be gone in the near future, and the villagers he had any connection with would also be gone. So what happened to this world wouldn’t be his concern.
He looked around. They were already quite deep in the dark forest. He knew from Xiao Dan that 500 miles was safe enough for the Foundation Establishment realm and 1,000 miles for the Core Formation realm.
With the speed sister Meiying was flying, he had a feeling that they had already crossed the 500-mile mark. He looked towards Ming Yue and asked about the question he had been curious about before.
"Senior Sister, what is the realm of Sister Meiying?"
Ming Yue answered immediately.
"Sister Meiying is at the peak stage of Grade 5."
Skreeee!...
"She is saying that she will reach Grade 6 in few months," Huan Caiyi translated with a smile.
Skree...
Meiying moved up and down twice to show that she was nodding.
Jiang Hao smiled when he saw that.
"That’s a rare one. It is very hard to see you smiling, Junior Brother."
"Indeed, he always seems like some old man thinking deeply about his future problems or something. That handsome face is wasted on him."
Jiang Hao became speechless at Huan Caiyi’s remark. It seemed like she was still not over his earlier decision of being bait.
"Stop teasing him, would you? And we have reached about 1,000 miles now, so be prepared, as we might encounter some spirit beasts brave enough to attack us. Although the chances are quite low, they are still not zero," Zhi Hui alerted them.
Jiang Hao was still at the mid-stage of the Foundation Establishment realm with four meridians, while Ming Yue was at the late stage with seven meridians.
They both hadn’t increased their cultivation realm, as Huan Caiyi had instructed them not to do so. Zhi Hui had created these robes according to their strengths, and if they increased, they would have to recreate them.
Jiang Hao didn’t mind, as he always loved consolidating his realm through intense fighting, and their current training sessions were perfect for him. Albeit, he only got the beating of his life, but it was still far better than any fight he had had till now.
Meiying was flying too high at tremendous speed, so if any spirit beasts were able to attack her, they would be of similar strength or higher than her.
After some time, they entered a unique area. Jiang Hao and Ming Yue were both surprised when they saw it.
Below them was the meeting point of three rivers, and the river that emerged from this fusion was just too wide. The area was covered in multiple cliffs and hills created by these rivers.
There was also a waterfall created by one of the rivers. It was immense in size; the amount of water falling from it was unimaginable.
This place created a unique scenery around it.
"This is exactly the middle of the dark forest. In fact, you can say that the dark forest came into existence due to these rivers. That big river you are looking at divides the whole dark forest into two parts," Zhi Hui explained to them.
"It’s quite beautiful place," Ming Yue couldn’t help but exclaim.
"It is also concentrated with spirit beasts, and their level isn’t low either. This river is also home to the most dangerous spirit beasts of the dark forest that live in water."
After they crossed it, only dense forest was left to see, but one of those three rivers was still visible.
If Jiang Hao had to guess, then this river must have originated from the forbidden zone.
They crossed many small mountains along the way. They had already crossed at least 5,000 miles since the fusion of the rivers was believed to be the middle of the dark forest.
It was evening now. He kept looking around when his heart stirred a little. It wasn’t because of any danger, as the feeling was quite different.
He was looking to his right, but somehow, he wanted to look to his left, as if his intuition was telling him to do so.
So, he hurriedly changed his view and looked to his left, and he was stunned by what he saw.
There was a lone mountain in the forest. He couldn’t see it clearly as it was fully covered in mist. Only the base was slightly visible.
The setting sunrays created an almost dreamlike scenery when they fell on this mountain. But it wasn’t the beauty that stunned him—his inner feelings urged him to go there.
Jiang Hao was confused by this feeling, as it was the first time he had felt something like this. He closed his eyes and didn’t look towards the mountain again.
He looked at the others, but no one even glanced at it. It was as if they deliberately avoided looking at it. It was a very strange occurrence.
They left the mountain far behind, but he still couldn’t get it out of his head. There was definitely something very strange about it. He didn’t know why, but he wanted to go there no matter what.
Was it some kind of illusion? No matter what, he wouldn’t go there unless he was certain that it was safe.
As he was lost in thought, he felt a nudge on his hand. He came to his senses and looked towards it—it was Ming Yue.
"Junior Brother, were you lost in thought?"
"Hm... There was really something that was bothering me, but it’s not a big deal."
"Good. See behind, Junior Brother."
"Hm?" Jiang Hao looked behind and saw a flying snake—it was chasing them.
Huan Caiyi shook her head and spoke.
"Let it be. It won’t be able to catch up anyway. Meiying isn’t even flying at her full speed, and since we have a lot of Grade 5 meat, we don’t even need it. So, wasting our time and breath over it is pointless."
Jiang Hao looked towards the back again.
The snake was blue in color and quite big, even bigger than Sister Meiying. It looked quite intimidating.
It chased them for about five minutes before giving up.
"That’s rare. It gave up too quickly."
Jiang Hao didn’t understand what Huan Caiyi meant.
"Usually, a beast like this can chase us for 30 minutes or more. They don’t give up easily unless..."
"Unless we are about to enter the territory of another spirit beast that is even more powerful than it," Zhi Hui completed the sentence.
Since a peak-stage Grade 5 beast was afraid of it, this spirit beast must be in the Void Reversion realm.
Everyone became alert. They might have already entered its territory, so it was pointless to turn back.
As expected it didn’t took too long before Meiying stopped midair as a humongous spirit beast blocked her way. It had appeared instantly. Spirit beasts at this level were quite intelligent and didn’t act on impulse like weaker ones. So instead of directly attacking, it blocked their way.
"It’s at the mid-stage of Grade 6. It will be a real headache to deal with. Let me ask it nicely to let us leave. If it agrees, that would be perfect for us," Huan Caiyi was about to move when Zhi Hui stopped her.
"You stay here. I will go. If it agrees to let us go, it really would be better. But if not, then I am already feeling that I am about to break through—it will be a perfect opponent."freewebnσvel.cѳm
