Heaven Refining physique-Chapter 58: Self Realisation
Chapter 58: Self Realisation
Now, even he agreed with the sentence that she was a devil through and through, but he didn’t dislike it. If this helped him become stronger, he was willing to do it.
Now that his dream of peaceful cultivation was gone, all he wanted now was to get stronger in every sense. Before, he didn’t even put this world on his pedestal, but everything had changed now.
He looked towards Ming Yue and was surprised to see her calm face. He thought she might create a ruckus after hearing this, but it seemed she accepted it calmly.
When Ming Yue noticed his look, she said,
"You don’t have to look at me like that, Junior Brother. I have already been forced to run two times now, so I understand our circumstances very well.
Our weakness is the reason we are forced to run, and others will continue to hunt us as long as we are weak. The only way to live peacefully is to grow stronger as soon as possible, even if it means going through hell.
Although I might not be as strong-willed as you, Junior Brother, I am not weak-willed either. It’s just training, how bad can it be?"
Jiang Hao nodded.
"You are right, Senior Sister. It’s just training, how bad can it be?"
Although Huan Caiyi was already in the middle of the clearing, she was able to hear them. She smiled internally, I hope you guys can say this with the same enthusiasm after we are done.
There were different compartments in the cave. One was occupied by Zhi Hui, but there were still many left, so they went to different compartments, changed into their restrictive robes, and came to the ground.
"Today again, I will voice out where I am going to attack. The only thing that changed is that the strength behind every attack will be increased from before, so be prepared."
She disappeared and appeared in front of Jiang Hao, speaking only one word—"Left shoulder"—before hitting exactly there. When Jiang Hao felt the first attack, even he took a cold breath in.
His bone shattered where he was hit. He had tried to dodge it again, but it was still impossible, even though he knew where she was going to attack, as she had announced it clearly.
True to her words, in one hour, both were beaten to the point that they couldn’t even stand. Even Jiang Hao was lying on the ground, as every one of his bones had shattered by now.
He sighed as he couldn’t even lift his head, much less move.
While he was lying there, Huan Caiyi came to him and removed the belt of his robe. Immediately, he felt the restriction lift from his body.
He closed his eyes and enjoyed the tingling sensation as he regenerated at a mind-blowing speed. He opened his eyes in about only ten seconds, as his whole body was already healed.
Huan Caiyi looked at him with amazement. She had already seen his regeneration before, but it always seemed amazing to watch someone on the brink of death heal completely in less than ten breaths of time.
She went to Ming Yue, who was also lying calmly with closed eyes. It might seem that she had become unconscious, but she was fully conscious.
Huan Caiyi removed her belt too. Instantly, Ming Yue’s whole body froze, along with the air around her. The ice was a little black in shade, totally different from usual ice.
Her injuries also began healing—although not as fast as Jiang Hao’s, they were still healing at a visible speed.
After about two minutes, her injuries were also gone, not even a scar left.
Ming Yue opened her eyes, tied her belt, and stood up.
She stretched a little and spoke.
"Looks like even I am getting used to pain." freēwēbηovel.c૦m
Huan Caiyi smiled when she heard that.
"Now that you both are healed, why bother waiting for ten minutes? Let’s start."
She didn’t give them time to think and attacked directly at Ming Yue. Ming Yue gritted her teeth and braced herself. Although she had just said that she got used to pain, it didn’t mean she had become immune to it. Every strike was painful as hell.
They continued this repeated cycle until the sun disappeared and night fell.
Huan Caiyi stopped and told them,
"I will give you guys one hour to cultivate and remove your fatigue. After that, we will continue again. If you want to break through, you can do so too—it’s up to you.
An increase in one minor realm won’t affect the robes too much anyway, and once Zhi Hui comes out, we can reinforce them to a new level."
After saying that, she looked at Jiang Hao and spoke.
"Do you need something?"
Jiang Hao shook his head, as he was already at the peak of the 4th meridian and could open his 5th meridian anytime he wanted.
"Good then, we will meet in one hour," she said before leaving.
Ming Yue sighed and came to Jiang Hao.
"Junior Brother, are you going back to the cave?"
"No, why would you ask that, Senior Sister?"
"Aren’t you going to cultivate?"
"Senior Sister, I am already on the verge of opening my 5th meridian. Just absorbing Qi from nature will be enough for me, so I can do it here itself."
"I see. Well then, let’s cultivate here. I will be able to open my 8th meridian here too."
They both found a good place before he heard Ming Yue’s voice again.
"Junior Brother, turn around."
Jiang Hao was surprised and didn’t understand why she would say so, but he still turned around as it didn’t matter which direction he was facing while cultivating.
Maybe she doesn’t want me to see her cultivation method related to her physique?
As he was about to cultivate, he opened his belt to remove his restriction—when he understood why she had made him turn around.
He looked at the belt. She also has to open her belt to remove her restrictions. And after opening the belt, the robe becomes quite loose...
He sighed and didn’t think further, beginning his cultivation. Well, technically, he just willed his physique to absorb the Qi—he didn’t need to concentrate on it.
While his physique began doing its work, he started thinking about what had just happened—how easily he doubted Senior Sister Ming Yue.
It was true that the cultivation world was quite treacherous, and one shouldn’t trust anyone easily. But it was also true that in this treacherous world, sometimes you met people with whom you formed bonds far stronger than even blood relations.
Jiang Hao wasn’t overly enthusiastic about making friends or bonds, so he always tried to maintain a proper distance from everyone he met.
It wasn’t something he did willingly; it was just integrated into his being, as he loved to live alone.
No doubt he already trusted Huan Caiyi, Zhi Hui, and Ming Yue, but trusting someone didn’t mean he was completely open to them.
In fact, he was never completely open even to the people in his village. The only people in this world he was unconditionally open with were his mother and father.
Jiang Hao knew that if he asked Ming Yue about her physique, she would definitely tell him everything about it. But if the situation were reversed, would he be able to tell her?
He doubted he would have before, but now even he wasn’t sure. He might tell her if she insisted.
Jiang Hao also knew that Ming Yue and the others wouldn’t ask him about it. They already understood his personality—if he wanted to tell them, he would do so. If not, they wouldn’t force it.
He also knew that with Ming Yue’s personality, she might be dying to reveal her physique name to him, but she hadn’t done so till now because he would feel guilty about knowing it while not telling her his own.
He couldn’t help but sigh internally. He knew they would be living with each other for a long time now, and eventually, there would definitely come a time when he would be able to open up to them too.
As time was the strongest thread that created unbreakable bonds between strangers.
But did he really need time to create bonds with someone? He was quite confident in his judgment of others, and by his judgment, he knew he could unconditionally trust Ming Yue, Huan Caiyi, and Zhi Hui.
Then why did he need time to verify his own judgment?
They had taken care of him unconditionally. If not for them, he might never have realized that forces existed here that could hurt him seriously. If he hadn’t known about that, then he might have fallen into some deadly trap, which might have become end of him.
He might have considered himself quite knowledgeable due to Senior Hu Tian’s notes, but how much did they truly contain? How vast was the whole cosmos? He was still quite inexperienced in the field of cultivation.
He can’t survive by only small notes worth of knowledge in this whole cosmos. He have to change his way thinking.
He has to trust his own judgements, if they prove to be wrong in future, then they will also become a lesson he will accept in his cultivation journey.
As he was thinking, he felt his realm elevate to next level.
His 5th meridian has opened.
