His After The Heartbreak (BL)-Chapter 90: Unwanted Apologies
Chapter 90 - Unwanted Apologies
Chapter 90- Unwanted Apologies
Tyler's POV
I stared at Declan—no, not Declan. That word gave him too much credit. I stared at the man who had no right to stand in front of me, let alone show up at my school uninvited.
I didn't say anything at first. What was I even supposed to say?
That I was happy to see him?
That I was grateful he came to check up on me?
Bullshit.
If anything, all I wanted to do was wrap my hands around his throat and squeeze until he stopped breathing.
Who in the world gave him the right to come here?
Did I ask for him? Did I cry out in the middle of the night, begging for the father who abandoned me to suddenly reappear and pretend to care?
I turned sharply to face the principal, already feeling the anger boil inside me. Mrs. Agnes quickly lowered her gaze, guilt plastered all over her face. And why wouldn't she? She knew she had messed up.
And yet, she still did it.
She must have been bribed.
Of course.
Mrs. Agnes loved money more than anything, and I was sure Declan figured that out. All he had to do was wave some cash in her face, and the crazy woman agreed to his little plan without hesitation.
"Tyler, I apologize for not informing you," she said with a fake, forced smile. "Your father requested that we keep it a secret. He wanted to surprise you, and we aren't the type to ruin surprises—especially not for a student's father."
I froze.
Father?
Did she just—
The word itself made my skin crawl. My fists clenched so hard my nails dug into my palms.
I could barely register the rest of her words. All I could hear was the disgusting way she had referred to him as my father.
She must be out of her damn mind.
I turned to her with a cold, expressionless face, my voice dangerously low.
"First things first, don't ever call him my father again."
Her smile wavered.
"He's just a sperm donor," I continued, my tone sharp and unforgiving. "Nothing more, nothing less. His only contribution to my life was fertilizing my mother's egg and disappearing like the coward he is. And yet, after all these years, he refuses to let go of the sperm title."
Silence.
"I'm letting you know so that you'll never make that mistake again," I finished, my voice calm but filled with venom.
Mrs. Agnes gulped and forced another smile. "Apologies, Tyler. Since you don't prefer that word, we'll just go with Declan. He only wanted to talk to you."
I scoffed.
"Talk to me?" I asked, glaring at Declan. "And this conversation couldn't wait until I was done with school? Why show up here, of all places?"
I knew the answer before she even spoke.
Declan knew damn well that if they had told me he was the one asking for me, I wouldn't have shown up. That's why he made sure Mrs. Agnes didn't reveal his name.
And honestly? He was right.
If she had mentioned his name, I would have laughed in her face and gone right back to sleep.
I ran a frustrated hand through my hair, already feeling my mood sour even more. Declan had always had a way of ruining my day, and today was no exception.
Then he cleared his throat.
"Tyler, I apologize for not letting you know beforehand and for having the principal call you out," he started. "I knew that if I told her to ask you to meet me, you wouldn't come. So I had to—"
"Had to?" I cut him off, letting out a humorless laugh. "Oh, I'm so glad you knew. Glad you were smart enough to figure out that if I so much as heard your name, I wouldn't be standing here right now."
I turned back to Mrs. Agnes.
"So you were the reason this woman came to wake me up from my nap?" I asked, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "How much did you pay her? It must have been a lot."
Mrs. Agnes shifted uncomfortably, but I wasn't done.
"And you," I turned back to her, my eyes narrowing. "You love money so much that you didn't even stop to think before dragging me out of class. Imagine if he was a serial killer. Would you have still brought me here?"
She opened her mouth, but I raised a hand.
"No, don't answer that," I muttered. "I already know the answer."
I shook my head, disgusted.
"What if I was shot the moment I stepped into this office?" I asked. "What would you have told my mom? Would you have lied and said you had no idea what happened?"
"Tyler, I'm so sorry," she stammered. "I just—he pleaded with me. He said he needed to talk to you. I honestly didn't know—"
"Oh, cut the crap," I snapped, rolling my eyes. "You knew. You damn well knew."
She flinched.
"You've known me since I was eleven. Tell me, have you ever seen Declan come to check on me? Have you ever seen him show up at a PTA meeting? Wasn't it always my mom?"
She didn't respond.
"Exactly," I said. "So don't stand there and act like you had no idea he wasn't in my life. That's bullshit."
She looked away, shame finally settling on her face.
"The last time you saw Declan, I was seven years old," I continued. "And yet, the moment he showed up today, you immediately let him in? Just like that? Without question?"
I let out a bitter chuckle.
"Is that how you protect your students?" I asked. "Is that the kind of principal you are?"
More silence.
"What do you think my mom will say when she finds out?" I added. "That you willingly handed her son over to a man who abandoned him years ago?"

Mrs. Agnes' eyes widened in panic. "Tyler, please don't—"
"I can't wait to see her reaction," I interrupted, crossing my arms.
"Tyler, please, I made a mistake. It wasn't intentional. Just...forgive me," she pleaded.
I stared at her, my expression blank.
She wasn't worth my time.
I turned to Declan, my patience running dangerously thin. My body was tense, my hands itching to punch something—preferably his face.
"What do you want, Declan?" I asked, my voice sharp. "Why are you here?"
He hesitated.
I raised a brow. "I already asked you this question once, and you ignored it. So I'll ask again, but this time, you only have ten seconds to answer. Otherwise, I'm walking out of here."
I counted down in my head.
He quickly cleared his throat. "Tyler, I apologize for coming to your school without your notice."
I sighed dramatically.
"Declan, can we just throw the apologies aside and get to the point?" I said, bored.
He nodded. "I came to ask for your forgiveness for overreacting and accusing you that morning."
I stared at him.
Then, slowly, a smirk curled on my lips.
"Aww, so now you've finally realized your mistake?" I asked mockingly.
I tilted my head, pretending to think.
Then I smiled.
"Apology not accepted."
